I brought my Harley in last year to upgrade the exhaust. I had to bring it back within the first week because they had tuned it incorrectly as if the pipes had no baffles, but they did have baffles so the tuning was off. Whatever, not the biggest deal, even though they tried to charge me for the retune and I had to negotiate...but yeah, whatever. Today, however, I brought it in for a check engine code and it turns out the bolts they used to attach the pipes to the engine had fallen out and when I asked the guy how that could have happened he said "whoever installed them didn't use locktite." When I told him that they are the ones who installed them, he seemed a bit embarrassed and said he'd get me a discount. Already I was annoyed because I shouldn't have to pay at all for them to fix a shoddy job, but when we next spoke the guy tells me there will be no discount because they only have a 1 year warrantee and this job happened a couple weeks more than 1 year ago. When I said that I understand there's a policy, but this is a bit of an extreme situation where I paid them to do a job that was done incorrectly and shouldn't have to get ripped off paying again for it, the guy countered saying the job was done correctly and it turns out "locktite can melt" so there was no fault on their part. Yeah right dude, nice try, people don't get new pipes installed and then have to replace the bolts every year because the locktite melts off. If I had been offered a discount I would have at least been persuaded to let them do the work, even though I would still be unhappy, but to specifically tell me that I must pay full price is a slap in the face. After that, the guys seemed totally fine with me walking out and losing what could have been a customer for years to come, which I just cannot understand. I dunno, maybe there's something about me that makes them not want to be my mechanic? Well, never again. I am incredibly disappointed because at first they seemed really cool, but I refuse to be pushed around by people who act like it's a privilege for me to be allowed in there. Also, tip to the owner, the new guy sucks on the phone; you should try to get the girl back who at least was able to sound welcoming. read more

They are a great example why the bikers community is so special and a real brotherhood (and sisterhood Victoria) They helped me as I was riding through Portland when others didn't, and it's not like they didn't have a long line of motorcycles to work on before I came in the door. read more

I've taken my Harley here multiple times. The first time was for some long overdue service. Nobody shamed me for not doing routine maintenance, instead they helped me address the problems I was having and took the time to answer all of the questions I had. I brought in my motorcycle to get an oil change and tires swapped out with 2 I brought in. Nearly 1 month and $500 later, I finally get my bike. I kept getting told that my bike would be "ready tomorrow" multiple times, and I had to be the one to initiate every conversation. They never reached out to tell me that there was a delay. Oh, and they didn't even clean the tires after they got that no flat goo all over them. Guys, this was an oil and tire change. And it cost me almost all of july riding time. read more

I had been dealing with them for a short period I had purchased some tires had some other things worked on and I really was ok with the work and the price of the work was done on my bike.Until they asked me about have I ever had a full service done on my bike and I said I have not so when I brought my bike in and left it I also left them with sum parts that I wanted installed so I asked how much will this run me $300.00 so I payed that in advance when I came back I had noticed there was a oil leak which I've never had a leak since I've own it . When asked to take it for a test ride I noticed that my speedo wasn't working it was working fine when I dropped it off but I had replaced everything containing to the speedo cable the drive even the speedo less then a year before the parts I left them where never installed my front and rear brake pads I was upgrading pads but there tech didn't think I need it I thought that the customer made his dicision on what they want on there bike not the tech also there where other things that weren't put on what I asked so to me it was a unhappy customer cause the next day when my mechanic came by from vacation I had him go over and do what should of been done and repair what damage they caused so there was another cost for me of $400.00 I like the people there I do but I won't be bringing my bike back to them I feel that I was over charged and had to pay for what they caused I know the difference between a tech and a mechanic check around and see who's who cause there are safety standards to motorcycles that should be met at all times . read more

Excellent experience here. I got my first motorcycle about a year and a half ago, and last July it was stolen, and was missing for about two months. Eventually the cops found it, and it was spray painted bright blue and had a whole bunch of things wrong with it. I am pretty young, and don't know a lot about bikes yet. I also don't have a lot of money. However, the guys there never made me feel stupid, and they helped me break down what needed to be repaired ASAP, and what could maybe wait for a little bit while I saved up some money. They answered any questions I had with no judgement, and just overall have been very kind. Definitely glad I choose this place, and I'll be excited to try their bar in the summer when I'm of age! read more

Legion is a super hip spot in town. I love the location right on MLK, and I couldn't be happier about the new ownership. Have known these guys for a bit and they are clearly committed to running a quality shop that focuses on community and service. Can't wait until they get the rest of the business up and running, but already pretty impressed with the events and classes rolling out. I love to support veteran owned businesses and knowing that these owners have spent time in the trenches working with homeless and disabled vets makes me feel really good about supporting this new venture. I live not far from the shop and have to say this is a welcome addition to my neighborhood and hopefully will strengthen the walkability of that area of MLK! read more

There's nothing else like this place in Portland. If you like motorcycles, this is the place for you. They do group rides, events & classes like "electrical 101". You can pay a really low rate to work on your bike independently, and if you need help or get stuck on something, their mechanics can advise you or even do the entire job. They're opening up a taproom soon which will make this shop an even cooler spot. Can't wait to see what this place has in store for the future! read more
