Totally awesome. Makes the downtown Chicago LEGO store look bad. Great employees that made me feel welcomed and enjoy the experience.

I was doing other running around and ended up walking in the store 2 minutes before closing (hate to be that person)! Employees were nothing but helpful and friendly. I knew exactly what I needed and asked an employee where I could find it, so I could get out of the store as fast as possible. She quickly helped me, but the poster I needed was out of stock. Another employee was near, so I just asked how often the posters were restocked. She let me know pretty often, so I said, "Okay. I will check back another day." The employee did not let me walk away and insisted I showed her what I was looking for and she gladly stated she would look in the back for me. I told her it was not a big deal at all as the store was now closed. The employee said, "No. You are here. I am going to check for you. We've just been so busy all day we have not had time to restock." She came back with exactly what I needed, and we are now best friends- except I am disappointed in myself as I did not get her name. The store still had about 10 customers in it, yet every employee was willing to help people get what they needed instead of rushing them out. I haven't seen customer service like that in a LONG time! So, thank you to the ladies at Lakeshore Learning Orland Park location for making my day! Lifetime customer over here!

You get to build a robot w/ a few other couples -- each couple gets one robot -- while watching a robot-related movie. It's a cute idea but the robots cost $15-25 and you're watching an old movie in a brightly lit room where you have to bring your own drinks and food. What is the extra $30 for? Building the robot was fun (although, ours didn't work and ended up having to be repaired & re-repaired which ended up making it worthless b/c it was a bubble robot & all the bubble solution ended up getting spilled before we could even try it out) but we could have just as easily bought a robot kit from the store and then went home to build it, resulting in just as good of a time. Unless they invest in some spotlights for the tables where your building the robots, dim the rest of the lights so that you can actually see the movie, offer complimentary soft drinks, and throw down some real robot knowledge, I wouldn't come back.

After 2 months of waiting for this sold out event we finally got a spot at the robot date night…read more Which cost $50. But when we went to the place you pick whatever robot you want to build and it's not included in the ticket. Robot prices cost $25-$65. The host was pretty nice and he provided us with a cutter and a screwdriver. Then he played a movie while we built the robot. In the middle of the movie he provided free beer and popcorn presented by a walking robot!! At the end of the night there Wes's a robot movie trivia which was fun. The experience was really fun but I think it is a bit expensive for the ticket not including the robot.

Instead of actually checking, he led me to a section that I already knew was incorrect. I went along with it briefly to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it quickly became clear he wasn't interested in helping. Without making any effort to search or verify, he simply said they didn't have the item. He then brought over another employee who immediately backed him up rather than attempting to locate the item or provide any real assistance. This was a stark contrast to my past experiences at the Orland Park location, where employees were helpful, looked items up on their computers, and were able to locate plenty of what I was searching for. Unfortunately, the lack of effort and professionalism at this location has cost them a long-time customer. I will not be returning.
