I was doing other running around and ended up walking in the store 2 minutes before closing (hate to be that person)! Employees were nothing but helpful and friendly. I knew exactly what I needed and asked an employee where I could find it, so I could get out of the store as fast as possible. She quickly helped me, but the poster I needed was out of stock. Another employee was near, so I just asked how often the posters were restocked. She let me know pretty often, so I said, "Okay. I will check back another day." The employee did not let me walk away and insisted I showed her what I was looking for and she gladly stated she would look in the back for me. I told her it was not a big deal at all as the store was now closed. The employee said, "No. You are here. I am going to check for you. We've just been so busy all day we have not had time to restock." She came back with exactly what I needed, and we are now best friends- except I am disappointed in myself as I did not get her name. The store still had about 10 customers in it, yet every employee was willing to help people get what they needed instead of rushing them out. I haven't seen customer service like that in a LONG time! You run into the occasional "angry neckbeard" type, but most people who hang out here are just passionate hobbyists who are willing to help new players. My one complaint is that the story is pretty small. It's often crowded during peak hours, with no open tables for playing games. As a consequence of the small size, there isn't a public restroom. This can be a problem, as games of 40k can take hours and the nearby stores aren't always comfortable with people using their bathrooms. I wish they could expand into the vacant storefront next door, hint hint!

When I asked about getting the balloons inflated, the clerk told me it would take up to 2 hours. She wasn't friendly or interested in helping, and there was no effort to offer an alternative or explain why it would take so long. I ended up going to a nearby dollar store instead, where they inflated all 16 balloons in about 10 minutes with no issues. The difference in customer service was night and day. I was looking forward to shopping at PopShelf, but after this experience I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Building the robot was fun (although, ours didn't work and ended up having to be repaired & re-repaired which ended up making it worthless b/c it was a bubble robot & all the bubble solution ended up getting spilled before we could even try it out) but we could have just as easily bought a robot kit from the store and then went home to build it, resulting in just as good of a time. Unless they invest in some spotlights for the tables where your building the robots, dim the rest of the lights so that you can actually see the movie, offer complimentary soft drinks, and throw down some real robot knowledge, I wouldn't come back.
