I was trolling the mall looking for a gift for my little cousin for her birthday. She's turning 12 and it's HARD, y'all. Tweens are HARD. I hadn't been to Somerset in a while so I had forgotten they had a Lego store until I saw someone walking by me with a bag. I got real excited when I saw that because she had a Harry Potter Lego set on her wishlist. Thank goodness she still likes to build stuff! I popped in and was wowed by how neat it was, especially given that Legos are, well, messy. Sets were neatly stacked against the walls with displays underneath behind plastic so you can see them built. They had everything from the massive Millenium Falcon from Star Wars to Lego Friends sets, and even some of the special edition sets like the super rad black and white Steamboat Willie Disney collaboration (I was thisclose to buying that for myself). I easily found the Hagrid's Hut set that she wanted and was helped quickly and efficiently by a very pleasant fellow. All in all a very successful Lego store visit. This is my nephews must visit Mecca whenever he's in town. We have to go before the start of school, once during the new year, since he has to always see for his eyes what's new. It's a great and interactive store for the kids. They have different size pieces and colors in the back bins. He likes the more complex box sets. I think he has almost half of the sets over the last 5 years. It's so cool that Legos has adjusted and grown over the years and stayed relevant. This is a fantastic store for kids that are huge fans of all things Legos. I have even bought him Lego keychains for whatever is the hottest character of the year too. I have yet to get away without a visit to this store when my nephew is in town. read more

The Lego Store is a great place to visit.  This location has a wide variety of Lego products, parts and accessories.  Not only do they have a good selection they have a great inventory so the toys are on hand.  I really enjoy their displays.  They make a good example of what can be done with the toys. They have taken care to set aside space for the Legos used by younger children as well.  This was a welcome addition to the store and I appreciate it. The rest of the selection is targeted at Lego aficionados.  The displays are appealing and kept in good order.  The service here is well managed.  The clerks are well informed, interested and knowledgeable and their products. The store is conveniently located in the mall and easy to get to once you've parked in the cavernous lot attached to the building.  The prices are reasonable. read more

I visited the Somerset Lego Factory for a Minifigure appointment. This activity is where you can create a custom lego person with a unique body, face, hair, legs, and accessories. The body creation is really cool since you can choose from pre-made shirt designs or create your own by drawing it or using decals. I do, however, wish there were more diverse options of hair. There were no feminine hair styles in a dark color and no short/masculine hairstyles for red hair. The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative on the process of creating your Minifigure. Another exciting aspect is being able to watch the machine print your lego body design. From my understanding, this activity is done by appointment only which you can make online via the Somerset Lego Factory website. We did not purchase any other lego sets but they do have a few displays you can view while browsing what the store has to offer. The store is small so it can get busy and feel crowded at times but overall we had a pleasant experience! I would definitely return to create more Minifigures or shop for a new set to build. A bonus fun fact I learned during my visit was this is the only Lego Factory in the state. This means it is the only store in the state to offer the custom Minifigure creations as well as the custom lego block building kits. read more

Pre Christmas season is crazy enough, the mall was packed, there was a line to get into the Lego store it was so busy. They handled it all beautifully and respectfully keeping everything as organized as possible. Once we were in, we were on a mission to look for this piece my son needed to finish a flame thrower gun he wanted to make. Shane was the absolute best, my son was uncomfortable asking and describing what he needed but he had the patience and knowledge to understand and found this super tiny piece he needed. Well, color me yellow! A Lego Store! This place is so much fun. I felt like a kid in some kind of store. The place is somewhat on the small side, but the wares they sell are small anyway. It's shaped like a giant Lego brick (btw, the plural of Lego is Lego. Useless fact of the day). Each wall has a little Lego diorama in it ranging from a movie theater to the Lego Store you're in. You can buy all sorts of Lego kits from Star Wars to Duplo to some classy ones like the White House ('cept it doesn't have Balock Obama. See what I did there?) You can even build your own custom Lego people, even though I found the selection of "bodies" to be a little slim. There's even a section of just blocks in the back of the store where you can fill up a cup with whatever you want. Great for missing pieces or cool ideas. Lego as a rule is on the expensive side, you can't find anything for under $10, but c'mon man, you're buying dreams! It's cool seeing kids go crazy over something other than Justin Bieber. I've never seen kids more excited for molded plastic. They love it here. There's even a little building section in the middle for kids to play with. There's also an amazing video screen where you hold up a box and the TV superimposes an animation of the built model on top of the box. You have to see it. It blew me away. There's also some Lego-themed things here like salt shakers in the form of Lego heads and character keychains. The staff seems excited to work there, I would be too. This is probably my new favorite store in Somerset. I'm probably going to go broke buying enough bricks to build a life-size version of me so I can place it at work and hang out here all day. read more

Great location in the Mall located on the Third Floor. The Mall has plenty of Covered Parking and also has Valet Parking. The Lego store has a Very Friendly & Helpful Staff. Explain what you're looking for or what your kid is interested in & you'll be guided to plenty of options. The small size Lego's are priced at $5 - $20 which is a perfect price, the medium size are $20 - $30 which is what I would recommend. You get more Bang for your Buck !!! Now the Large Lego's are expensive like $99.00 & Up. But Leave those for Birthday's or Christmas Presents. Now the X-Large Lego's are way Over Priced !!! Super cool store. Really, how can you go wrong with a giant colorful toy store filled with something for everyone no matter what age group. The employees were very helpful and nice. It was my sons birthday and this was a special gift from his Nana. Employee Alex helped direct us to the age appropriate section, gave a few suggestions and told us if we needed anything just ask. Smile smile smile Have fun. I loved the brick buckets in the back where you can fill a small or large tub with whatever color or size you need , love , want all for a flat rate price. This is "The Happiest Place on Earth" for the four little boys and one big boy in my life. I must admit, I can understand why. This Lego Store inside MY happiest place, The Somerset Collection, is stocked with many, many sets from of the different Lego collections (Star Wars, Ningajo, City, Lord of the Rings, Lego Friends, among others). They even have a really cool Harry Potter-esque TV that shows you (just by scanning the box) what the set looks like in 3D-complete with moving mini figs! Speaking of mini figs, you can assemble your own unique LEGO guy or gal right in the store. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. They were telling us how they get to assemble all the new sets that go on display- pretty cool job if you ask me! This store is a must visit for men and women, boys and girls of all ages. read more

Love coming to this store whether with my children or by myself! The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful - even when it's crazy busy! We love LEGO building sets. Huge into Star Wars! It's all about venue. I go in just to pretend I am in "2001 a Space Odyssey." I like the hologram ads. The lego employees don't push, but you know they are communicating in code with each other. It's all white and feels sterile. Maybe they perform surgery in the back room. I laugh as I manage to only spend $60 because my son really wants $100 worth of plastic bricks. Ha Ha! And, their Lego wall is quite a disappointment, not a variety of blocks at all. Need those hard to find, unique ones. Even lots of 2x8 and 2x10 blocks. Can just order blocks online. read more
