This was a pretty cool ride. I was surprised at how low the wait time was too. My family and I had visited Legoland end of July, and this ride had a wait time of 10 minutes. It was like a walk on. This ride is a submarine ride. It has a moving walkway which was pretty interesting. I did like the walkthrough queue line to get to the ride. It was quite immersive! When you get inside the submarine, you actually have a lot of room to sit! Unlike the Nemo ride at Disneyland where everything is very close, you have a lot of room on the Legoland Deep Sea Adventure. You get to explore the deep sea world! It was cool to see real marine life and all of the Lego sea creatures too! I think I saw a shark there as well! There was hidden sunken treasures and gems too. While you ride inside the submarine, there is a interactive touchscreen that helps you explore and assist in the treasure hunt! It was a short ride though, but I would go on it again! read more

Personally I really enjoyed this ride. You actually go into a real submarine and it takes you on a tour where you see actual sea creatures like sharks, rays, and tropical fish up close through viewing portholes. Along with the real animals, there are elaborate lego models and an interactive scavenger hunt so you have to pay attention. The only downside is that it can feel a little claustrophobic but the ride is only about five minutes long. read more

The fact that the ride vehicles are in constant motion means that even if there is a line for this ride, it will move at a decent pace. The ride itself is fun and a unique experience in that it combines a ride, hunting for objects, and an actual aquarium filled with tropical fish. I just wish it was a little longer and they did something to maybe make sure there's the same amount of fish or things to look at on both sides. I have found that the left side of the subs has less to see & that the fish tend to be on the inside of the tank (so the right side). It just sometimes feels like a bit of a lopsided ride experience. That said, this is a nice ride. We often find ourselves going on it multiple times when in the park. We just always try to get on the right side of the sub. read more

This was a favorite on a recent trip to Legoland, especially with rainy and cold weather! You get into a submarine and navigate throughout the water, and see sea creatures. Along the way, you get to hunt for fun treasure, from gems to a treasure chest to art and more. My kids had a blast looking for treasure and tapping the corresponding item on their screens. Got in at a good time and didn't need to line up. Very interactive overall. Kids saw loads of cool fish, sting ray (giant), small shark, and a lot of treasure set to be found. This was one of my 8 year old sons favorite things to do at Legoland. The journey is a short one but magical for young kids to explore the underwater and feels like you are in a submarine exploring under the sea. Views are great and the ride is comfortable. Such a fun experience! The line was 20-30 minutes long on a Saturday, and the ride was around 10 minutes long. You got to go inside a real submarine (holds about 10 people), and your sub goes through the real aquarium with live fish, sharks, and a huge sting ray! Fun for all ages, as long as you arent severely claustrophobic. You have room to move around inside, but it is dark and if you are claustrophobic at all, i just recommend skipping. Otherwise, it was very peaceful and fun! read more

Hands down the best ride in all the Land. Tip: ride opens at noon, far later than the rest of the park. Don't sleep on the Golden Window to line up. Prepare to queue up even prior to opening. If you miss this timeframe, don't be discouraged. Turnover is high and the well-managed line moves quickly. The interactive underwater attraction is definitely worth the wait. More so than the Finding Nemo submarine ride at Disney, complete with live sea critters big and small. read more

I definitely liked this ride a lot more than I thought I would! You'd see lots of lego props under the water with the fish, sharks, etc. There's also an interactive activity that has you click the artifact you find underwater, which definitely motivated me to really pay attention to everything I saw. New for 2018 is a Underwater Adventure within Legoland which is in between Star Wars Miniland and Castle Hill. This new feature is a submarine ride which actually sits halfway above the waterline but it does feature real live Salt Water Fishes, sharks and rays. This is not part of Sea Life. The ride is about finding treasures and it sits roughly 12 people aft and fore, 6 each on port and starboard. So be sure to listen and look for the clues on your small monitor. On a weekday the lines is short and the ride is quick which is about a 4-6 minute ride. The ride doesn't stop so you have to quickly board the submarine quickly, so don't lose your footing. It's not slippery nor wet but just be careful boarding and offboarding. Also watch your head above as the door may tap those individuals that is a bit taller. If you are claustrophobic I would not recommend this ride as it can feel a bit tight and some of the decor in the water is rather close. So it can be feel even more enclosed in. Other than that it's a fun ride even for 2 and half year olds who can sit and behave. But for those toddlers who just can't sit still, fussy and doesn't have any patience and is quickly distracted or have short attention span. It's best to have to go at near the end of park hours or the first thing you do once it opens. Have fun and remember. Don't disturb the Lego pieces in Miniland!! read more

I remember once saying that the submarine ride at Disney would be way cooler with real fish and not just projected animation (yawn.) Well I guess Legoland was listening because they have a submarine ride complete real fish, rays and sharks! I loved seeing them all puttering around our ride. One of the biggest rays I've ever seen is out and about too. Hope you spot him. The Lego creations are in abundance and the ride is interactive with a treasure hunt of sorts. Photo op at the front and a touch screen build a fish at the end. Came on a slow day and we rode our sub around 3x in a row and still had to boot the kids off. read more

This particular ride/attraction was probably my lil one's favorite of the very few that she was able to get on. It is very interactive and there are a lot of things to see and loo for on this lil adventure. During the ride you are supposed to look through the port holes and look for a variety of different items that are specified on the screens throughout the vessel. I think there was room enough for 4-5 families inside. I thought it was going to be really uncomfortable and cramped but after they closed the door it was easier to kinda spread out and be a bit more comfy. The ride isn't a real short one, although I feared it would be. One thing that I wasn't too pleased with, in the park, was that they do not allow for those who are handicapped to make arrangements to get onto the ride at a later time, like making a reservation for a return, sort of like a fast pass at another popular park that I won't mention. That made things pretty tough, especially because this particular person in our party was having a tough time with being at the park and it being both hot and sorta humid. But anyway, back to the ride, it was a lot of fun and I can definitely see why people rush to this attraction right when they get there. It's fun for everyone and it really is done well. I would definitely like to get back on this ride. So, you may wonder why one less than the maximum stars. I did NOT like that they were NOT AT ALL willing to help us to board. My lil one needs to be carried as she cannot physically walk down those really steep steps into the submarine. The employee that was "helping" to load passengers onto the ride didn't seem to care and also didn't seem to be all that interested in the safety of those on board. That was something that really bothered me. I couldn't believe that they were so nonchalantly boarding people not encouraging them to be careful while boarding, not helping them up and down the narrow and steep stairs. I can't even tell you how much I was freaking out because I was worried that my lil one was going to go tumbling down those steps. It was horrible. I'm glad that she had a great time on the ride but the getting on and off was terribly rough. read more

We went on this ride 3 times, and it's pretty fun because we get to look for lost treasure, gems, swords, crowns, artwork, and pearls! It's interactive in the submarine, as you look out into the water and possibly even spot some reef tip sharks. The line can get long, our last visit was 40 minutes, but the first couple times was like 10-15 min wait so it just depends on the day. I think the seats furthest away from you, as you enter the submarine has the better view of treasures, etc.. That would be the seats on the right side of the submarine, as it goes clockwise. read more

Love this ride! Perfect for all ages unless your not a fan of small confined spaces lol. But I love how they have the interactive game of searching for things. And the variety of the sea life is great. It's my sons favorite ride. The perfect time to go is the last 2 hours of the park hours for quick rides. Which you go into this Tank and sail through the deep waters of LEGOLAND inside the tank there is a small screen for you to press and you have to locate the treasures that's on the screen . As you are going through you will try to find the treasures . If you see the treasures then press the screen and you can see how much treasures you find at the end . It's a fun ride for all ages and kids love it !! I enjoyed the ride and it's pretty cool seeing the stingrays and fishes in the water !! I do suggest you give it a try . It is fun for the entire family . If and when I return to LEGOLAND I shall try this again !! Dear Legoland California and Merlin Entertainments, this 1-Star rating has nothing to do with the quality, or the experience, of the ride. I am giving a 1-Star in protest for the sharks, and other fishes, that are in captivity for the purposes of entertaining guests to your park. I couldn't help but notice that the enclosure for the animals appear really small and I am concerned that this is having a detrimental effect on the well-being for all of the animals. I enjoyed the ride experience but I was still conflicted on a ethical perspective. I strongly suggest that your park will consider using animatronics instead of live animals. read more

We went on the last Friday of November 2018.They didn't have a big line so we walked right in, no wait. Everything was fine until the ride ended and our door wasn't opening. About 5 minutes after the ride ended and we were sitting there wondering what was going on an employee opened the door and peeked in... he stated that we were stuck and would have to wait until the techs came to fix the issue, he stated that they had been called and were on the way... that if we needed to talk to someone that we could press a blue button that was near the door and they would answer us on the speaker. He closed the door and we waited, it began to get hot in the submarine, I'm guessing a/c turned off since they were working on it.Safe to say we did not like or enjoy sitting in a hot submarine that long. It seemed like we waited forever, it was really about 10- 15 minutes or so after the employee had let us know what was happening. When we finally began to move and where let out of the ride, we were given a front of the line pass for 1 ride, for the inconvenience. I wasn't sure what the point of that was... we went during the week there were no lines for any rides so we didn't use it. We also didn't get a "we are sorry or are you guys ok". The girl just handed us a ticket and said heres a ticket for front of the line for 1 ride, thanks. read more

Yay, we are fans! It's a submarine ride, which completely convinced my kid that we were indeed diving deep into the sea. Lots of live sea life, plus oodles of lego creations. I thought the treasure hunt component was unnecessary, but it was fun to have a quiet-ish ride and relax while looking at various fish and rays and sharks. read more

We had an amazing time with our family. This was probably the 4th time for one child, the 2nd time for another child who is three years old and they just had a ball with everything that they did at the park. The staff is amazing, courteous at the LEGOLAND Hotel and the staff inside the park are courteous and amazing as well. One particular individual Tiffany, who helps with the mini-figures where kids can trade, was just amazing! We were able to follow her throughout the park at different times, and our boys were able to trade there a lot of min- figures , she was just an awesome individual and courteous and patient with these kids. I know my boys each time took some time with her looking through her collection and she would give them a little history about each character and really give them the time to look in trade. Also, another individual that we encountered that made an impression on us was Murphy at the sea life. What, another individual that we encountered. She noticed it was our sons birthday, and made him feel very special, and even gave him a gift! Who does that? What an amazing crew Legoland has working for it! We love this place and have upgraded to season passes and can't wait to return. read more
