This ride is so fun! It is just like the Spider-Man one at Disney CA Adventure, but longer and better quality/not nearly as blurry. I am not sure how good the sensors are (they may be not so great...or I may just be really bad at aiming haha). Either way, my family had a blast and went on this multiple times. Any age can go so you can bring baby babies...but they do have to sit next to you which we didn't know until sitting down (so if they can't sit by themselves maybe skip this one). We got lucky and there was no line, but it looks like the line can get real long on busy days. read more

One of our favorite rides and LEGOland! It's a lot of fun and my kids will go on it multiples times when we visit. As others mentioned, this is a 3D ride with glasses provided. You sit in a car (4 people to a car) and swing your arms to throw balls at enemies. The ride itself is pretty quick but a lot of fun. Not gonna lie, another reason I'm giving this 5 stars is that this is the first game where I've been able to beat my husband's score. We rode this one on the same day as the Lost Kingdom Adventure in which his score completely dominated mine, so it was nice to return the favor haha read more

Lego Ninjago The Ride is one of the most popular rides so expect a long wait. It is different from most of the other rides because it is more immersive. It is a 4D style experience with 3D visuals and special effects using the provided glasses. The gesture based controls were a little frustrating and did not always register properly. This is basically a 3D ride where you move your arms around like a ninja to throw flameballs at "enemies" on the 3D screen. They provide the glasses. This is our family's favorite ride at legoland. You sit in a car and throw fireballs for 3 minutes by wildly swinging your arms. What I love about this ride: -All 4 of us can ride together -No height limit. Ninjago was an awesome fun action packed ride. One of the most popular rides at Legoland so the lines are always long. The wait seemed like forever! It was an outside line, then a first indoor line, then another indoor line, and finally the line to board. Lines on lines on lines. Toddler friendly but my toddlers had no clue what they were doing. It fit the 4 of us and we ended up just playing for the kids using both arms. For the 5 minutes of the ride you are basically hand swiping forward and up and down to fight monsters. High score in your car wins! I did not know how to play for the first few rounds of the ride but got the hang of the motion near the end. They have a camera spot but I did not see it. Enjoyed it. At the end I was exhausted doing double work. lol read more

Possibly my least favorite ride out of all the rides I've been on in Legoland. It's extremely difficult to aim when swinging with arms and in the end I just felt like I had an arm workout from ferociously swishing my arms from beginning to end. As the father of an 8 year old boy, I have become well-versed in the art of Spinjitsu. On late night trips to the bathroom (read:fridge), I've variably stepped on minifigures Cole, Jay, Kai, Zane, Lloyd, and a particularly painful Sensei Wu. Which is to say, I didn't approach the Ninjago ride at LegoLand without a certain level of jocularity-- the promise of 3D sort of went part and parcel with my preconceived notions of Legos themselves (by default, lego bricks are 3D, Mildred)... but I have to admit that I never anticipated how much fun this ride would actually be. Using some kind of motion technology assisted by 3D glasses, displays, smart sound design, and some "4D" effects like air blasts and motion, riders "shoot" energy from their hands at all sorts of Ninjago villains. Like other rides at other themeparks (Midway Mania comes to mind), riders accrue points based on accuracy and speed. Minor adjustments to your hands' motions, direction, and frequency changes the apparent motion of your shots. I am proud that I have managed to place among the top players on subsequent trips to LegoLand... equally important, ahem, my kiddos had a great time on this ride. Sure, you may leave the park with a t-shirt featuring Nya, but that's just part of the fun. 5 stars await the rise designer who can modify this ride to include some kind of Spinjitsu effect for the riders! read more

Playing the actual game is secondary to Ninjago's immersive experience. The theme is pretty cool, and the idea of taking an interactive game to another level plays well here. I've been on this a few times and the game play just seems clunky and not very responsive. My magic missiles seem to fly everywhere but the target. Daily leaders score in the 300k range, my best is only 100k.. Ahh well. Shannon N's single star review of this theme park ride motivated me to write one. She gave it a single star on the grounds that her six year old couldn't figure it out, and followed that up with the incorrect statement that the ride offers no instructions. My four year old figured it out just fine, and scored more points (54,000) than many adults, so it clearly isn't so difficult. Regarding instructions, there are large signs throughout the ride line, including several at the end that even those using the "Reserve N Ride" will see if they've skipped the rest of the line. These signs not only tell you the direction of motion your hands should use, which is front to back not sideways slides, which others who also ignore the instructions tend to get wrong, but the signs also offer up the height range above the sensor you should stay within. People giving one of the most popular rides at the park one star because they didn't read the signs seems excessive. FYI for anyone considering the Reserve N Ride paid line skip for this ride; given this is one of the most popular rides at Legoland, unlike most of the rides where you can skip an unlimited amount but with current waits factored in, the three tiers of Reserve N Ride give you just one, two or three line skips for this ride per day and then you cannot schedule it again. read more

So much fun. The whole area is well themed out. One person can stand in line while the rest of your group can take pictures with all the cool stuff. The majority of the line area is shaded. They have activity posters while you wait inside, kids liked that. The ride itself is about 5 mins. You sit in groups of 4. As you spin around to different scenes and use your ninja skills while your triceps get a work out LOL. The pictures at the end are funny. They even rank your group! read more

My daughter loves Lego Ninjago. Her favorite character is Llyod. The ride is a 3D ride where you sit in the ride with your 3D goggles and 'chop' the ninja baddies. You need to use quick arm movements to target the bad guys on the screen. If you are looking for a great 5 min upper body workout, look no further! Your arms will be sore after this ride if you legitly use them to knock out the baddies. Its super fun ride and PG. It may spook younger ones if they're afraid of snakes, but overall, super fun ride. If you want quick wait times, check this ride out first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon after 4pm. read more

This is a cool interactive dark ride, similar to Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters or the Toy Mania rides. Its cool that it's four player, and you can see everyone's fireballs or whatnot on the screen at once. It feels more cooperative than some of the interactive rides out there. My arms got quite a workout. Even my 2 year old, who couldn't play enjoyed watching the ride. Some items that could be improved are clarity on how to move to make your ball go down rather than up, and the ending screen where they tell you good job multiple times. It would be nice to see a top score screen or something more exciting at the end. read more

This ride is posted to be for children four and older. There is a caution regarding loud noise and flashing lights, but NOTHING about being scary. Nothing else in the park is designed to be scary and so I took my four year old on without thinking about it. It is full of skeletons, zombies, etc. ATTACKING you, a giant snake striking at you, etc. This is easily the freakiest thing my children have ever seen. I have a sensitive little boy and he will either dream about this or be worried about it for months. I thought "well, everything else in the park is 30-60 seconds long, we can get through it." Each station is about one minute, and there are several. I think the total ride time is about 5 minutes. WAY TOO MUCH for not being able to do anything about these images. You're trapped on the ride till it's over. I understand scary images is relevant to the beholder, but I had no opportunity to make a decision for my child. There needs to be a "SCARY IMAGES" warning. read more

This was by far our favorite attraction and ride at Legoland. We went on it twice. This Asian themed martial arts ride is a lot of fun for both kids and adults as the ride is also an interactive video game that you play while you ride. The souvenir shop at the end of the ride was the nicest shop in my opinion. Even better than the big shop at the front of the park. We picked up the purple panda plush doll. read more

The rides line is pretty long. I think because it is in close proximity to the entrance and because it's new. During normal operating hours the line wait is 45+ minutes. We were lucky enough to gain early entry to the park at 9am. The wait from just the hotel guests was about 20 minutes. When we finally got on the ride, I came to realize that it is a an interactive 3D ride requiring glasses (provided). Air blasts at you from the arm bar station and as you move your arms at the screen it tosses things at the characters. As an adult, I wasn't really into it. The kids loved it though. I think that the wait is too long for not enough fun. I gave 4 stars because the boys loved it. Knocked 1 star for the wait. read more

Well here is a ride that is quite popular at LEGOLAND !! I was Hanging around LEGOLAND and I thought to myself why not give this ride a try and boy oh boy I have to say it was worth the wait in line for this . The line was not to long when I went on . So lucky me !! Now as you take this ride it I is motion sensor meaning you just wave your arms up and down and try to kill as many monsters as you can !! It is super fun for all ages and perfect for kids !! It is also a 3D Ride which you have to put on the 3D Glasses they provide for you !! But first you have to wait and be assigned which lane to go to . To load and prepare to take on The monsters and try to kill as many as you can !! Super Fun Ride !! It does not go fast at all it's a Normal pace ride and totally awesome for the whole Family !! I Enjoyed the whole ride and I believe you will also !! This ride was our least favorite experience at Legoland. Line was twice as long as other rides and it's basically just a poorly implemented video game on a moving couch. Our four year old is obsessed with Ninjago and left so disappointed and confused that he cried. These digital experiences are nowhere near as good as the areas of Legoland that focus on what makes Lego special: building amazing creations with bricks. read more

I did not care for this ride at all, and my 6 year old son hated it - it was his first 3D experience, so that caught him off-guard but he could not figure out how to fight the bad guys. I'm surprised there was no simple introduction at the beginning of the ride to explain how to do it? My son was really confused, and ended up really bored by the end, even taking off the glasses because he didn't get any of it. Ninja GOoo!!! This show is Little C's favorite. So the ride was a must when we went on our Legoland trip 2 weeks ago. If you are a hotel guest, you get early access at 9am to the park. This is one of the rides that is open at 9am. Head into the park, make a right at the Big Store and make your way to the Ninjago sections of the park. We were able to ride it almost back to back on Friday, getting into the park around 9:30. The 9am rush for the ride had already thinned out, and we only have a 5-10 minute wait both times. Saturday was a little different of a story. We were part of the 9am crowd, and the ride was not open yet, Finally opened at 9:15 and we were probably in the 4th or 5th group to ride. This ride is in 3D, and you are provided with the necessary glasses. You get quite the arm workout trying to get your score up there! read more

Since this is a new ride, head here first (just to the right of the gates) to avoid long lines. We got into the park about 15 minutes after they opened and put wait time was 30 minutes. This is a game-based ride. You wear 3-D glasses while you shoot your hands forward to shoot the bad guys. Overall it's an okay ride - it's not as good as California Adventure's Toy Story Mania, but you know this was made at least somewhat off of that ride concept. My 5 year old enjoyed it, but it's not somethings adults will be talking about. read more

This is a fun ride, reminds me of Toy Store Mania in Disneyland but the Legoland version. You basically join the Ninjas in fighting off the bad guys, and you are scored based on how well you do at the end of the game. We've done this ride twice, and both times was pretty fun. They have air blowing in your face in some of the scenes, so you feel like you're being attacked by the bad guys on screen, haha. The line is quite long, we waited maybe 10 minutes last time when we arrived at 9:30 am, and this most recent time, we waited 45 minutes when we arrived at 4:30 pm. read more

The ride is just ok, but in my opinion it is certainly not worth the usually long wait that it attracts. It's an interactive ride where you are a specific ninja and "throw" virtual shurikens as the ride moves through different screens and scenarios until the ultimate showdown with the big evil dragon. Sounds fun enough but the motion that is suggested by the tutorial gets tiring pretty quickly, and it should be possible to throw high vs low shurikens but I found the response of the system pretty inconsistent. If you have a little one really into Ninjago it might be worth it just to go through it but older patrons may find it underwhelming. read more

you can definitely tell that this is one of the newer rides as they've incorporated a lot of CG, 3D, and patron participation into the ride. i love how you can choose your character and then score when you hit enemies. if you have no idea what i'm talking about, you just need to try it! we were so lucky yesterday, because the line was decently short. i can see how this one can get super long. you should try to sit w/ 3 other ppl as your total score tallies up at the end and you can see your rank with other cars. read more
