Everything was a hassle…read more PCHS constantly tried to bill my Tricare insurance vice the VA multiple times even though I told them to remove Tricare insurance from their system. It cost me hours of personal time and I decided change clinics. Now over a year later I get another bill from them and they charged Tricare AGAIN. When I called and told them about their mistake, they said only the CEO could change billing. I asked that they do that and they have ignored me for the past two weeks. I paid because I did not want to go to collections. I thought civilian care would be better, but never expected it to be so much worse than military health care. Gettig a bill over a YEAR later is insane. Never going back and would not recommend to anyone.

He has been in practice for over 35 years, and he practices with Drs Clinic of Poulsbo. He is Family Practice. Reasons why I like him are many but here are some: 1. He diagnosed a rare infection I had when I first came to him. Other Drs I had fired when they couldn't figure out why I was so sick missed that I had a rare amoebic infection. He also diagnosed a difficult diagnosis that needed surgery that many er drs and a GI specialist missed. 2. When I was very sick over the Christmas Holidays he called me to see how I was doing on Christmas Morning. (He was also on vacation). 3. This Dr. listens to his patients. He is also a very kind and spiritual man. *You may have to wait longer in the waiting room with him, because he takes the time to listen to a patient when a patient needs it. I don't know if Dr. Kina is taking on new patients anymore but if he is, he is the kind of Dr. to have if you have a problem others drs cannot figure out. Or if you just need a great Dr. who listens to his patients and relates well to them, he is a great Dr. to have on your side.

They are ALWAYS available, whether by phone, video call, or in-person visits. I have seen all of the providers and can't say enough good things about each of them. The office staff has been fantastic - all calls and questions are answered, and the follow-up is thorough. I love the addition of dogs in the office - what a perfect buffer to an otherwise potentially anxiety-inducing experience. This is a very personal experience, unlike any other I have had in the past. She told me she shouldn't tell me about it but she basically stole me from normal healthcare. I liked her. She was smart and capable. The sad news is every time i went to the new clinic and I arrived for an appointment it was new staff. They were always rude. This should've been a red flag since I had appointments 5 times or more a year. I was told when the clinic started there would be video calls and care from afar and paying this monthly fee on top of the doctor visit fee would be worth it. Unfortunately it never was. Only during Covid did the video calls happen and half the time the Dr never showed for the appointment. I did appreciate that before they expanded my needs were met when my Dr was out of the office. Fast forward to POST COVID. More new staff and a new office on Bainbridge. You'd think quality of care was going to be better...wrong. More new front office staff. Staff that hung up on me after I heard champagne pop and laughing in the background. I questioned them on if they were having a party. They hung up on me. I was in a medical emergency and got hung up on. And I pay a monthly fee to ensure said care. I barely heard from my doctor since post Covid. The staff is rude and unhelpful. They cancelled my appointment 3 times and I received a letter stating my doctor was terminating our medical relationship. I'm fine with this as I've had to take entire days off to make their appointments to then just have them cancelled. They have dogs in the office and at first I thought oh good I can take my dog to my appointment to have the doctors dog try to attack my dog. Bottom line is dogs in a medical environment isn't okay. I wish it was. But it's not. Yet the dog is still there. It's sad to see a good physician become what they are now. Staff won't support as promised, appointments cancelled last minute and with 5 other doctors I was hung up on when I had a medical emergency. We'll see if they stop my charges of the "monthly fee" to get no care on 1/1. I hate having to fight for good care. I liked my doctor. But her staff.... And the inability to take care of someone seems a high price to pay without actual care.
