This place is great. I have ordered from this restaurant a few times beforw and I am always satisfied, at least for my taste. I enjoy Thai and Vietnamese food and this restaurant serves a few dishes that I enjoy. One of the dishes I order either on a cool day or just a lazy day in the house is the Pho combo. The broth is great on this dish and it comes with meatballs, thin sliced steak and brisket as well as all the veggie trimmings. Another dish I truly love is the Chinese Pork Char Siew and rice. The ribs have great flavor and blend well with the rice, fried egg and salad and the char taste is as good as any American bbq counterpart or perhaps even better. The final dish I would recommend is the seafood clay pot. Ofcourse, this is for my taste again but I really enjoy that this dish is cooked with rice, scallops, shrimp, squid, fishballs and tofu in the same pot. Essentially every bite taste like the last and you won't be disappointed if you enjoyed your first bite. I tried several appetizers as well such as the spring rolls, egg rolls and fried calamari but my one favorite appetizer here is the grilled quail. It is well grilled and not overwhelming in flavor as quail normally is. I would definately recommend everyone give this little corner restaurant a try and venture into some of there many other dishes. I am sure they have something here for everyone (allergies not withstanding.) I believe they don't cook with peanut oil but ofcourse you may have to do some additional research if you have allergies to any other type of food or ingredient. Everytime I dine at Lei's Kitchen I find a new favorite dish. I am a person that typically finds a dish that I like and I never try anything else. I only ordered pho the first three times I came here. However, I came here one time and I wasn't really hungry so I ordered some chicken wings- best I've ever had. Next time, I ordered the pad thai- best I've ever had. This time I tried the Mongolian master- delicious. This is the finest dining experience you will ever find at less than $40 a plate, and it's only $10 a plate! Food is fantastic! I had the Honey Pecan shrimp and it was delicious. The flavor was so tasty. The shrimp were lightly fried and crispy even though they were covered in the amazing savory sauce. And the shrimp were topped off with warm candies pecans...so so so so good! I had the fried rice and it was perfect. This restaurant was such a surprising and out of the blue find for us. I can't wait to go back to try the Pho and the Thai dishes. All the food was really amazing. Some of the best Asian food I've had in a long while. I've had the fried dumplings, spicy garlic edamame, miso soup, egg drop soup, rare and combo ph, pad kee mow, Thai basil rice, bulgogi bipimbap, and Thai chili basil wok. ALL are amazing!!! It's obvious they take great pride in their dishes and establishment. Service is always A+ as well! For perspective, we just moved here from Los Angeles where Asian cuisine is everywhere. Lei Kitchen is on par as far as quality and authenticity. Definitely the best we've had in Corpus! My parents and were very disappointed. Best case scenario, since this was just 2 days after Christmas, the regular chef was still on holiday vacation. I ordered the rare beef pho, which is usually left mostly red, rare, and incredibly thin. This pho had these tiny over cooked pieces of beef resembling the shriveled nature of pork rinds. I asked for extra limes which weren't included. My father's dish was a chicken dish which tasted like beef, which we can only assume means it had been cooked with beef and then separated. Lastly a random order of noodles was included and wasted because it didn't go with a soup. Considering we spent over $94 on this pick up order, it really stung. read more

Recently went here, it looks like they need a lot of help there was only one waitress and they were pretty busy, BUT the service was very good. Me and my friend enjoyed the food a lot, shes a vegan and the host also being vegan recommended her some options. This is restaurant is a hidden gem!!!! The food was delicious! I got the salt & pepper chicken and it was sooooo tasty! Moist pieces of white chicken breast meat. It was seasoned perfectly. The flavor was amazing. The fried rice was perfect. We also tried out the Truffle Tofu and it was fantastic. It was fried perfectly and the accompanying sauces were awesome. We visited Lei's kitchen last night for dinner and were impressed. Had a fantastic culinary experience with a perfect ambience for a relaxed evening. There was a good choice of Tea and we tried the 'evening in Missoula' and Chrisanthemom flavors, which were perfect on a cold evening. The Pho and Sea food claypot were delicious, with enough portion sizes a for shared meal. The spice content was just right and so was the service. Let's start the the service, the ladies were Great super helpful with recommendations. We started off with an appetizer the steam bun pork char siew Entree's seafood noodle soup, so much sea food! Fish balls, shrimp fish tofu and imitation crab meat. Japanese Yaki Udon the meat was so flavorful and if you like a little spice just add a bit of the chili oil that hit the spot. Eight flavor beef is definitely a kitchen classic. And my ultimate favorite the salt and pepper chicken!! We stopped in the first time when another nearby favorite was closed. We have gone back multiple times since - it's that good! Our last trip was a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly, this small restaurant had a number of occupied tables. I ordered Beef Bulgogi Lettuce Wraps off of the appetizer menu as my main course. My husband ordered Teriyaki Rainbow Chicken and an order of Spring Rolls to share. The food was amazing. The portions so large both of us had enough for lunch the next day. The restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but it's definitely worth checking out! We've never had a bad experience with food or service. read more

But the 3 of us, total 4 people in the party, still needed the plates. But the waitier picked up all the playes and left. Really not a big deal. This is the greatest Asian restaurant . The food is superb and delicious. For appetizer we had the Far East Nachos and for our meals I had the Eight flavor beef and I also order the Angel hair noodles with shrimp and beef. My husband had the Kimchi fried rice with chicken and also Lo Mein with beef, chicken and shrimp and to drink we had wine they also have beer and sodas. Don't get me wrong each plate was a lot of food, we just like to order a variety of food.
