The office actually saw my profile and knew who I was when I called....and... they fit me in that day, even though their schedule was full. I was seen by Matt (NP), and he was thorough, direct, and personable. I never write reviews, but I was so impressed that medicine was actually geared towards, me, the patient, and my comfort...not satisfying the limiting insurance rules, or waiting 8 hours in urgent care for something that should take 1 hour, at most. The food is great and you have the option to change it to what ever you want. The CNA's were super helpful and the nurse call button was often quick response time. I put in many appreciation notes to have my nurses and CNA's receive recognition. I was sad to leave to a skilled nursing facility. The social workers who were trying to get me to a skilled nursing facility were aggressive with their tactics though. That put a damper on my healing.

I was charged an extra $415 for "Moderate Complexity Medical Decision Making" regarding the frozen shoulder. Yes my insurance paid for it, but I feel Providence is basically running an insurance scam.

Let's talk about the pharmacy - I would say most tot the time it's ok - but let's discuss when it's…read morenot - today I went to pick up a prescription (mind you one that we get EVERY month) and the lady was like "it's too soon, you won't be able to get it" I tried to explain to her that it's a weekly medication and well there's 5 weeks in the month - the first dose was on the 2nd so technically it's not early - she wouldn't even let me finish what I was saying and had zero interest in even listening to what I was saying. This woman needs to find a new job - the last thing that our VETERANS should have to deal with is this kind of treatment from someone who should be thankful to have a job - I will be contacting the administration offices in regards to her nastiness. Considering my husband called in to verify I could pick it up today, this is unacceptable. The pharmacy seems to be getting more and more challenging to deal with to begin with but having to deal with this kind of rudeness just doesn't seem right. I am honestly shocked at the care I received today while handling the news I had a miscarriage (my…read morefirst). I was in the ultrasound room and given absolutely nothing other than "here's your uterus" and I know stenographers can't diagnose or maybe even share news with you but I found in my report later that I had a small hemorrhage in my uterus that was never even discussed today. I already had my suspicions that something was off and it felt awful...Then I was whisked into a patient room where "a doctor will discuss things with you further" so I'm thinking it could be bad news but still have my hopes up that maybe I'm just not as far along as I thought. Then a nurse comes in with such a sad face that I lose all hope and she asks "how you doing?" With a sad look and I start to tear up and I say I just don't know whats going on and she said "oh well yeah the Dr is gonna be in shortly ok??" So I'm texting my husband asking him to come in because at this point I'm shaking. Finally the Dr. Hilton comes in and asks so you haven't had any bleeding? And I just know I had a miscarriage and it was the worst sinking suspicion ever that was still not confirmed. Finally I ask what is happening and he says oh, so basically you've had a miscarriage that just hasn't happened yet" and so obviously I start to cry. He says "miscarriages are just all too common" never once did he say I'm sorry or explain things further without me asking questions and now after reading my chart notes on MyChart I'm even more miffed that my minor hemorrhage wasn't addressed and when I asked how big the fetus was the answer was its hard to know and right in the chart it says it measured at 6 weeks. I know this is something stenographers, nurses, and OBs see probably on a daily basis but I just felt so strange walking out of there. if I hadn't had my husband with me I would've been offered absolutely no comfort whatsoever in this weird isolated sterile environment. I had my daughter in 2024 and loved everything about my experience with Dr Mora when she was there but today was so heart wrenching for me and it was just treated like a hush hush weird minor inconvenience.
