I am 70 years old and booked a facial so I could look better for photos at my wedding 5 days later. I chose one on the advice of the person I spoke with. I let her know I just wanted my skin to look a bit better, no miracles expected. I typically have good skin and have never had issues with facials at other places. I let the lady who did the facial know that same information just before the procedure. The treatment was painful and I questioned that and was told that was normal. Result-I have burns all over my face. I have no idea how long this will take to heal. I went back in today for assistance and am still waiting on the owner to help. read more

I had some issues with scheduling (I called back after scheduling because I had not received a text or email confirming the appt only to find out the scheduler had my last name and phone# incorrect. My appointment was for 12/30 and I called on Friday 12/27). Good thing I called to confirm...This made me weary but when I tell you the massage was amazing, it was AMAZING. I was so relaxed, I didn't even want to drive home.. Per my request she focused on my back, neck and feet. It was so fabulous. I cannot recommend Cailee enough! I've had a handful of services at Accolades. I discovered this salon as it's where my mom goes. She's not a big fan of harsh chemicals and Accolades was the best option in town. I've been for haircuts, colors, highlights, and massages. Every time I've been I'm left feeling so impressed. I showed up 10 minutes late due to an accident near Trader Joe's. I made appt with whom was recommended ... don't recall the name right now. I apologized and told them I'd wait if I had to and the two working up front at the desk said "no" and were laughing . I am older and I felt sad as had to go to my uncles funeral and could not color and cut my own hair and it was day before funeral so could not get in elsewhere plus was sad. The front desk gal whom was laughing at me said come tomorrow and made appt with manager. She did call but I was treated so rudely I lost trust and hope in the business. Accolades salon spa was on of the only salons open on a Sunday in the Twin Cities and I'm so glad I found them because they were great! I went in and my stylist was Shannon and she was very kind and welcoming! I went in for a blow out and styling for my hair (I was attending a wedding!). They also provided a complimentary mini facial while washing my hair which was a lovely added bonus and very soothing. I am so glad I chose to go to Accolades! Samantha, my hairdresser, did such an amazing job. I decided to take the plunge and get an undercut for the first time because it's been so hot lately. She talked me through it and told me how to maintain it in between haircuts. The atmosphere of Accolades is very comfortable and classy. The receptionist offered my wife and me drinks as soon as we checked in and we relaxed for a couple minutes in comfortable velvet chairs until our stylists came to get us. Getting my hair washed was quite an experience, especially since it came with a free and very soothing facial. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this place and the staff. My nails showed signs of wear and chipping 2 day after a gel manicure. The salons response: "Usually with gel polish we say 3-5 days depending on the length of the nail and the nail beds but gel is definitely not meant for everyone" I've had gel manicures before this and they usually last at least 7+ days without a mar. What I took away from this response is they don't guarantee their work. read more

This was my favorite salon! My coworker once said I always came out looking like a million bucks. This would soon be changed. This summer, after the salons had finally reopened, I was excited to go back to get my blue balayage. They had did this for me twice before and turned out awesome! For this appointment, I had a different stylist do my hair since she was the next available and I was desperate. Big mistake! You could hardly see the blue in my hair! The stylist recognized her mistake and booked me for the following week where she would fix it. Lol fix it. You could see blue in my hair, but it wasn't professional looking. I lied and said I liked it so I could just get the hell out of there. After I washed my hair once, most all of the color came out! After 2 weeks, my hair looked like a complete mop! I called to speak to the manager, and all she could offer me was 30% off my next visit and a free treatment that supposedly would fix my damaged hair. It didn't do shit. Accolades needs to work on their customer service. Definitely won't be going back to get my hair damaged again. read more

I really appreciated the overview of what to expect and enjoyed the neck/chest/shoulder/head massage while the clay mask dried. Came here for a bachelorette glam session and I can't recommend them to be honest. I paid about $90 for makeup and hair and I could've done it better myself. My hair was curled ok, extremely tight but with a quick walk outside, they fell quickly. My makeup artist did makeup like she was stuck in 2015- im talking pomade brows, heavy contour, and too dark Smokey eye. We're in 2022- the time of natural and dewy makeup and she really missed the mark. Her brushes were also very prickle-y and felt like she was going to poke my eye out. End product was very patchy and cakey. Also want to note she never asked me my makeup preferences and didn't even have an eyelash curler or eyebrow gel. This was my first time getting eyelash extensions. I decided to try for my wedding ceremony but had no idea what to expect. Rachael was fantastic. She was professional, patient, and definitely made me feel cared for. She was very meticulous with her work on each lash, and was happy to explain the process and answer questions along the way (as well as allow me to relax with my eyes closed while the work was being done). I would recommend coming to Rachel if you're getting eyelash extensions for the first time or are a regular to thus practice. You won't be disappointed. And the overall salon was clean and inviting. Terrible facial. I arrived 10 minutes early, checked in, and waited for 25 minutes for my esthetician to walk up to me and ask if I was ready.. uh, you are 15 minutes late. She proceeded to say "I didn't even know you were here." No apology. There was a 20 second consultation. Her fingers smelled like cigarettes. The products she used were sticky and ended up more in my hair than on my face. My 45 minute facial ended 15 minutes early. Unbelievable. Oh, and she told me that wearing sunscreen isn't good for my skin, that it is toxic and it would be better to have wrinkles. Um..? What? How about no skin cancer? Lastly, she didn't even walk me to the front of the salon or say goodbye. And I'm supposed to pay how much for that?? Shame on me for not saying something at the front desk, but I think I was in shock. read more

They must have been purchased because my manicure was really awful, the woman was not a delight in fact everyone in the salon worked there....meaning I was the only customer. i had well-established highlights in my hair, done perfectly by another salon, but it's been a few months and came in to see Shelly who has done my hair for years. Regret this because although I was clear I wanted pronounced highlights, not blended, asking her to make them thick and follow what's already there--nope, she did it exactly how she wanted to and when it was done, they were all blended into my hair. When Shelly saw the disappointment on my face, she got upset, wasn't very nice, and walked off. What I asked for was not hard, or unreasonable. Simply follow the previous highlights. A waste of money for the botched Bayalage job i paid for not 1x but 2x to try to get fixed. Ownership never called me and when a manager did call me back, she raised her voice, cursed, and said "best" she could do was a deep conditioning service to try to see what could be done to fix it but I'd have to pay for the correction... real professional huh?
