This review is from my boyfriend regarding our family experience with Midas: The Midas in Cuyahoga Falls turned out to be a true hidden gem. My girlfriend's battery died and they replaced it that very day. My father also had a good experience getting his oil changed and tires rotated there. I've worked with Jason and Adam, who both are incredibly personable and informative when it comes to keeping your car on the road. I knew I needed to have my tires replaced and front brakes replaced along with my oil changed. Midas confirmed that and the quote was exceptional. I even called my dealership and a few tire places around to compare prices. If you live in Cuyahoga Falls this is the place to go. I would definitely recommend this Midas location to anyone! I just needed an oil change but they also did a thorough inspection of everything else! They let me know about the level of wear on my tires and brake pads and about when I should expect to change them. They were very clear, friendly, and thorough about what was wrong in plain english. Very much preferred if you don't know much about cars or parts. Service was a bit expensive but i'll take it for good quality service, after all, a car is one of the most important things to upkeep, i'm glad it was in good hands. They were a bunch of young children that were doing the oil change as I took my car in it ran when I took my car out it no longer ran then when I called back the gentleman proceeded to hang up on me four times in a row they lied to me about services they provided they said they did a tire rotation then he proceeded to tell me he couldn't do a tire rotation when he was on a recorded line they are the absolute worst place to get your oil changed I should have paid $10 more to get it done correctly because now my car is broke read more

I had a 2:30 appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I was there for 2 1/2 hours even with an appointment! When I got home I realized that they didn't rotate my tires! I know this because I have a missing hub cap and that tire was still in the same place! I will never go back there again! read more

What great service!! I had a flat tire; and praise God, I was able to reach this shop on State Road and Portage Trail/Path (Near the Walgreens, Burger King and Market District). Collen was manager on duty and it was after the normal product delivery hour. My tire was ruined, no patching possible (not quit 1 year old tire). I phoned another shop to see if they had the tire that I needed, but they did not - no discredit to them - they just did not have one in stock. Neither did this shop, but Collen phoned their delivery provider and was able to get one delivered within 20 minutes. Of course, I feel that the price of the tire, boosted both service providers bottom line - but again; "it is what it is". I want to thank Collen, and the guy that replaced my tire; as well as the one that delivered it. Thank you all so very mulch. More praise to God! read more

Paid over $1000 for brakes/ rotors. Had to go back for corrected repairs THREE times. Finally, during routine oil change elsewhere, I was told the 3rd Midas re-repair was done poorly, brakes not lubed and dangerous. "Dry as a bone". I wish I could give a zero. I plan to call the Better Business Bureau. I feel like I've been robbed: of excessive $, of hours of time (which is $), and of peace of mind. read more

Strike 1: 3 months ago had fuel pump replaced at this Midas. Departed and filled up at the Get Go on the corner. As I'm driving home there's a guy behind me honking his horn rapidly, I knew I didn't cut him off so I thought it odd but kept going. Pulling into my drive same guy rolls up and tells me I spewed a trail of gasoline from the station to my house!! I look in the street and sure enough there is a long line of fuel, under my rear seats (where my children normally sit) nothing but fuel. After I contacted their regional director that night (detective work to find his mobile number) they retrieved the car next morning and fixed. Strike 2: Oil change and tire rotation. They left the drivers side rear wheel lug nuts loose. Found out the hard way traveling at 70mph on the highway!!! When I tried to take the tire off one of the studs was broken due to being shook when the wheel was wobbling at 70mph. Took back to Midas for them to correct and they told me their manager looked at video from my oil change visit, the previous month, and they never removed my tires. I asked why my paperwork said they rotated the tires and why would they advise me they did if they did not? No real explanation other than some vain attempt to put it off on their own paperwork. Then charged me to fix their own mistake! Strike 3: There will be no 3rd strike. I take ALL of my vehicles to Integrity in Stow now! read more

Get the Midas touch! Yeah right!!! These people are thieves the try to touch every part of your wallet. My father in law went in for an oil change and they tried to tell him all these things were wrong with his vehicle and even made him sign a waiver before they would released his vehicle. Them my father in law took it to a local reputable service garage and they said that there was nothing wrong with his vehicle. Outright thieves and the ought not to be able to get away with it. I'm telling everyone I know in the area not to take their vehicle to this shop. They should be closed down and put out of business!!!! DO NOT GO TO THESE CROOKS!!! read more

Midas quoted me around $1700 stating I needed a new radiator and two new tires because they had nails in them and stated that they were not repairable, among a few other minor repairs. GOOD NEWS....I went to an honest repairman who determined my coolant leak was due to a broken $1 hose clamp and that my tires were indeed repairable. Back on the road. Saved well over $1100 not having my work done here. First and last time I will take my car here! read more

I love coming to this specific location in Cuyahoga Falls, the guys here are great. Adam the manager is very nice and friendly and has the best staff. Jason was not there that day but when he is he's very nice and personable, and of course I can't forget Dave the technician, he always works hard on my car and does great work. Adam was able to catch stuff going bad on my car which I appreciate since I was going on a long drive the next day. This is really the place to get your car worked on. I brought my car here after running over a bolt. Being female I'm used to car places trying to take advantage of me. They were absolutely amazing. Came to find out after they removed the bolt it didn't actually puncture my tire. I had ran over it at just the right angle it only went thru my tread. So they triple checked it for leaks, took off my spare and put the tire back on for me. They easily could have charged me for a flat repair. I would have never thought twice about it. But they didn't they were honest and up front and didn't charge me a dime for their time. I will definitely bring my car back to them! read more

I drive a decently modified 16' GTI. And I'm a car snob. And like any other snob and enthusiast it is a BIG NO NO to take your car to places like this. You care about your car. You invest a lot of money and take meticulous care of it. However, I've took my car here for an oil change (I provided the oil and filter) because I was in a pinch and they took care of her. I had a good experience and talked to the manager about tires - turns out they have the hook up on tires too and were the only ones that had the specific tire I was looking for in the area. I took my vehicle here for a Check Engine light. The charged $80 to run the diagnostic test. I came to find out later that most places do not charge for this. They resolved my current issue, however, when I picked up my car they told me I needed to remove and replace the control arms which was a job that would cost nearly $1000. The manager, Jason, told me it was very dangerous but he wouldn't make me a sign a waiver that day if I drove away with my car. I took it for a second opinion elsewhere and they told me that I do NOT need new control arms. I do NOT recommend this establishment under any circumstances and I will not be returning. read more

I have been using their oil change services for a while and had good deals for it. However, if you want to do any repair, stay away from them! I had a small noise coming from under the hood and they told me it is from the alternator and it needs to be changed. They also told me that the water pump is leaking and needs to be changed to (unrelated to the aforementioned noise). I asked them to change only the alternator, since I wanted to get rid of the noise first. A day after doing that, I experienced a noise 10 times worst than I had before. They refuse to take any responsibility. These guys are either very dishonest or don't know what they are doing. Also, I realized afterward that they are not using the original manufacturer parts, as they claimed to justify their higher parts prices. For my case, they charged me ~$400 for an alternator which I could buy for ~$150 from the advanced Autoparts (The exact same brand and model!) Overall, go to the car dealer, if you are willing to pay more money for original parts or just go to your local mechanic. I wish I knew this before being scammed by these people. read more

The team here treats their customers well. I had my car towed here in a rush at 3 PM on a Saturday, when the car did not start (no turnover or sputter) right after mid-day driving (not a battery issue). They were already booked solid with appointments and close at 6 PM, but Jason and David diagnosed the problem as my alternator, ordered the parts from regional supply, and then replaced it and the battery before they closed. They even said they would voluntarily stay late to get this done for me. Besides the free morning coffee, the polite explanation of the technical issues on the itemized bill, and the suggestions for upcoming maintenance, these guys actually do work harder for their customers than other places. read more

I've made the mistake of taking my car here twice for cheap oil changes, both time I was hammered into the ground to buy everything from tire balancing to new tires to upgrading to synthetic oil, and on and on. It's a non stop barrage of harassment that I've never seen anywhere else. The first time I was told my shocks were leaking. I had just bought them 3 months earlier so I returned to the place I got them. Not only did they see NO oil but they asked me if the ride was rough. It wasn't. They said Midas is notorious for spraying oil and "fixing" the leak for you. My second visit sure enough they found a transmission "leak". They're always eager to point out the oil spot they found. Since I have a sealed case transmission there is no way to check the transmission level but the check engine light has never come on, and the transmission shifts perfectly. In the future I don't care if the oil change is FREE, nothing is worth the badgering and attempted pick pocketing of this place. I don't know if it's a company wide thing or just this one but do yourself a favor and save the headache-go elsewhere. It's worth paying a little more to avoid this level of BS. read more

I was in a hurry to get my muffler fixed. So made the mistake of coming here. it was noon, stated that I would need the repair before 5pm. I got the whole" you need a new catalytic converter business or you won't e-check." Told them you t had just passed e-check. was told that they had to take the whole system off anyway because they couldn't fabricate a part. they put the truck on the rack cut the exhaust system off and there it sat untouched for five hours. At six pm. they were finished, told me that they had to fabricate a part is why it took so long. cost was over $1000. I will never return here. read more

Three days after Christmas my motor went, and I was in north field on my way to work. It was 5 am and had to make a decision on what to do. It only took as long as a minute to dial a flat bed for a tow and no time required to tell the driver to take it to Midas on state road in cuyahoga falls. Why a muffler shop to fix my problem. The answer very simple. These guys run this business like true professionals from the managers to the techs. And not just professional on their trade but also making you feel like genuine family who is there to help you. Bent over backwards to fix my problem and at a very reasonable price. I who mention these men by name but I think it is your loss if you don't goon and meet these guys. And you will find a friend that is like family with any of your automotive needs My name is mr. One word comes to mind with this location - OVERSELLING! I have an Explorer that had an issue with the pipe between the catalytic converters. My quote from these guys? $1261.00 My quote down the street to "patch" the small one inch hole that was making the loud noise? $75.50 These guys will remember me and you can see my other reviews to know where I go now, but buyer beware of Midas. I had a horrible experience with this place. They lied to me about needing parts and then blamed it on me when I figured out that they were ripping me off. I had to contact the corporate office to get this taken care of after the manager treated me like garbage yelling at me on the phone. Told me I needed a new part that was replaced WITHIN THAT YEAR. They eventually did the minimum to get this taken care of. District manager was sure to blame me with his last sentence on the phone as well. The problem with this store is that they claim to follow MIDAS recommendations for replacement of parts instead of the actual automobile company recommendations. What in the world???? Midas manager, I prefer NOT to be contacted in a private message. You've done quite enough communicating. As Steven S. said, I was also told that my shocks were leaking. Pointed out an oil spot.
