This place is a hit or miss. But this most recent visit will be my last. I go in get a $40 foot massage. Lady gets the water ready for my feet, and it's cold. Then starts to give me the worst massage I've ever gotten. Including rubbing my face. Halfway through I feel something crawling on me. I swipe my forearm with my hand thinking it's not big deal. Few minutes later I feel it and the bite is huge. She sees me and says she'll get me medicine. Comes out with an icy hot patch, prepared like it's happened before. I never ever felt more uncomfortable than this place, enough to report it. I got the 60 min foot massage with 10-15 min neck shoulder massage. Only old men kept coming in - I heard one masseuse say "Hi honey" to a man and halfway in only heard moans and grunts from the other room. Absolutely disgusting. I wanted to get up and leave many times! My lady told me to take my top down facing down for the back massage. IM IN THE PUBLIC COMMON AREA. Of course I said no. She said she could give a better massage. Completely appalled, I said "I'm not taking anything off- I'm in the middle of the common area!" Save your time, energy and hard-earned money and go somewhere else. Just left a 60 min "Swedish full body" massage and it was more of a 30 min foot and 30 min front body massage in a private room. I noticed the masseuse was spending a lot of time on my feet and when I asked if she was going to massage my back she proceeded to and after 5 min of tapping she's like "all done!". I literally replied "really? That's it?" Mind you the service is paid up front with $2 extra for credit card purchases. Totally not worth it. Really wanted to like this place, but had a less than impressive experience and won't be back. I went in with a friend around 9 pm. They got us set up for a foot massage quickly and started on my friend right away. Maybe 10 min later, the front desk women started rubbing my head. Doing the same thing for 5 min? Another woman arrived & switched with the front desk woman who was massaging me..I was left 5 times throughout the "service" to the point where I was looking around the room wondering where the person doing the massage went? While Cece was around, she was yawning the entire time. Making my friend and I SO uncomfortable. My friend's massage therapist also switched 3 times- Really took away from any relaxation we were seeking. The whole experience was a waste of time and $ we definitely will not be back. read more

I did however find it weird that they switched masseuse in the middle which I'm glad for because this lady named E took over and she had strength and seemed to enjoyed what she does for a living! Great place for a massage! My personal favorite is getting 1 hour massage and finish it all with a shower just to get all the oils off. Shower is available, just ask and no extra cost. They accept both cash and card. The manager is named Cici. She is great when it comes to communication. If you need anything just ask for her and she will more than happy to help you!! I have been to this place about 4 times. It is quite nice, quite hidden, you don't need a reservation, not really crowded. Massage was quite good as well. Honestly, I only come there for a massage, and not that much for a good service. But... I have noticed for the last 2 times, after leaving 20% tip the lady get really mad... she stops smiling and treats you like you didn't tip me enough. Here comes the question? What a find.... really $20 for an foot massage!!! I have had dozens of four massages and this was by far one of the best I have ever had and I know I will be back. Happened to be in the area and originally tried to get into another place a few minutes away and not am I glad they were booked. They soak your feet for a few minutes not 15 like so many other places do. While soaking they give a little face and shoulder massage and then a solid 50 minutes on my feet... she ended with a little stretch and squeezing to my legs!!!! I feel like I'm walking on cotton or clouds!!! I will be coming back fir sure... Its worth the 25 min drive from my house!!! If they were closed I would go every week!!! read more

I've been here 5 times and each time has been fantastic! My fiance and I get the 60 minute foot massage which is $30. It's really not just a foot massage - it's really an all over massage, with no oil other than for your feet. I fell asleep multiple times and felt amazing afterwards. My Sciatica is killing me. Judy, has been working on that and on my shoulder. She knows what she is doing and it has certainly helped. She is pleasant and I have now gone there a couple of times. They have a punch card available. If you get 10 massages, you get one free. I go pain free for around 4 days. Then the tightness slowly creeps back. Time for another massage. I have been to other places and they can't relieve my sciatica pain. Judy does the job for me. Getting jabbed by elbows hurts but it relieves the pain. Its $40 + tip. read more

Came in for a minute massage with my family as a group. We got the hour full body massage for $40. The three of us got separate rooms. Pros: + We called and they were able to take 3 people in 15 minutes so we drove there on a random Thursday night; no wait time. + Cleanliness + Affordable/Inexpensive + The lady that worked on me was a specialist in shoulders knots Cons: - Checked in on yelp and the check in deal pops up that $5 off massage- the cashier said that it's from the last owner so they "kinda" don't want to honor it... since it was already pretty affordable, I said that was fine but who does that? That's kind of bad marketing and bad business.. - The massage lady basically pours so much massage oil on me that she was wiping some off on the blanket. - The massage lady was more so for the foot/back massage on the chair because she didn't know how to massage my lower back, which I really wanted some work done on. - Towards the end, someone walked by the door, said something in Chinese so she rushed massaging my right foot to finish up... so my left foot was well massaged and my right foot was rushed; now it's kind of off because she didn't budget her time properly even though there's a clock in the room by my head. - As I was walking towards the lobby, the lady followed me out and asked if I can tip her.. Take away- probably not get the $40 full body massage here. You're better off going somewhere else for a full body massage. I've been getting massages for 25 years. I recently canceled my Massage Envy membership and have tried a handful of Asian spas. Leisure Spa is in the heart of Clairemont Mesa in a nice strip mall. The staff is professional and the spa is clean. Today, I had my 2nd one hour massage with Judy. They may be the best massages I've EVER had in my life! I'm very muscular and tight and she has very strong hands. She offered a hot towel, but I prefer to keep the oil on my dry skin. Once and never again. Came here w the bf bc he really wanted to treat me. Was very happy this place was open despite it being Labor Day. It's generally a bad sign if the place needs to advertise in its windows. Still, I was willing to look past this and was hopeful for a decent massage. The woman who massaged me was also at the receptionist apparently because she was answering the phone throughout my massage. She should stick to just answering the phone because her massage techniques sucks! She was all over the place. I was greased up like a participant in a KY jelly wrestling contest. She used her hands and elbows to slather the oil all over my body in a really strange and awkward fashion. I should add that my boyfriend and I both noticed that they combine antibacterial hand sanitizer with the massage oil to make it thinner. Bizarre and gross. It was one of those massages were I'm not sure if she knew the difference between a bone and a muscle. There were moments where I felt relaxed but then she would blow it by either answering the phone or massaging a bone. She would spontaneously stop the massage to poke her head into the hallway to talk to her friend. Extremely unprofessional. The woman who massaged me had no idea what she was doing. I had to ask repeatedly for lighter pressure and at one point she laughed and said "lighter pressure?" There were points a massage when I thought about just stopping it and asking for my money back. They have towel warmers but choose not to use them apparently. They take about half the oil off your body by scrubbing it off with a damp towel. I was still left slimy so after the massage, I slithered my way to my car and promised myself a shower once I got home. After the massage I asked them for a change for a five because there was no way in hell I was going to leave a 25% tip for a massage that I did not enjoy. The woman opened a drawer and showed me fistful's of $20's, $10's and $5 and said they did not have any change. At this point it turned into one of those extremely annoying high-pressure tipping situations. I ended up giving in and just handing them a $10. As I was walking out I could hear them snickering and talking s*^%. Yep, I won't be coming back here. Would not recommend. Even if massages here were free or if someone else is paying. Never going back. I had gone there a couple times before, once was nice, the second time was horrible - as the lady who answers the phones massaged me, and had no idea what she was doing. And would not stop talking about my tattoos... when I just want to relax. Today was my final day going here. Midway through my massage, a lady came in and told me she accidentally ran my card for $.50 instead of $50 - I asked if we can possibly do it after the message? I was told no, so I got up, retrieved my card and gave it my masseuse. After he being gone with it for about 10 min, she finally returned, and got back to it. I expected I would get an extra 10 minutes. Not only did it end 10 min EARLY, but I never got the other 10 min back, in total i was ripped off out of a 20 minutes. I paid for a $50 massage, and tipped her $15.00, thats 30%! She looked at me and said no, she wanted $20.00. I said to her thats 30% right there, she said I massaged for 90 minutes, it should be $20.00. Im not sure they understand the way tipping works, you do a good job you can more money, theres no set amount. But to demand a higher tip???!!! Before going to Leisure Spa for a foot massage I viewed the website which indicated that foot massages were $20. When my girlfriend and I went to Leisure Spa we were told foot massages were $25. When I told them the website indicated $20 they said they don't have a website. I showed them the website and they said that it is from the previous owner. I spoke to the "new" owner Chris, who has been the owner for 2 years. He was aware of the false information on the website and didn't plan to change it. When I said it was false advertising he disagreed and said the correct prices are posted at the spa location. Chris was rude throughout my conversation with him on the phone. My friend and I did get the foot massages which were fine. Although the door next to Clairemont Mesa Blvd was open and you could hear all of the loud traffic going by. My friend and I both agreed that we would not return to a business that falsifies information on its website. read more

Then she was walking in and out of the massage to be the receptionist the entire 40 minutes.
