This was my second time to Leisure Street Winery, and the two ladies that were working that day were pleasant, friendly, and helpful. They accommodated our large group and we were able to sit inside, since it was so hot. Their tasting menu has two whites and three reds for $15 or wine by the glass ranging from $10 to $15. I'm more of a white wine drinker and out of the two whites the "2023" Pinot Grio was the best, crisp and refreshing not too tart. The tasting room has ample outside seating with an area for band performances. The tasting room inside is small but spaced out for adequate seating. A pleasant and enjoyable afternoon with engaging conversations. This winery didn't have a lot to choose from for my palate but I was very pleased with my glass of Pinot Grio. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before. I've been a fan since they were an urban winery on Leisure Street and have followed them out to Tesla. My favorite wine is the Godfather (Barbera), but their others are good too. I've always been treated very well and I am not white. The last time I brought my little niece with me and they had coloring books and other activities for her,and the woman pouring (first time I've seen her) was very nice and pleasant as the child talked her ear off. My niece asked to help her clean up (we were there for closing) and she let her wipe down the tables. She made my niece feel so important. I used to be a member but I just don't drink that much wine. Plus it means I have to come in person to buy and it's a much nicer experience than sitting at home. read more

We were able to have our own time amongst ourselves but we are also attended to. As well as informed of each wine we had in detail along with a the details of the wine names. We were a mess when the original vendor backed out on us with less than a month before the event, but whatever happens happens for the best and using Knot we came across Leisure Street Winery. Kelly Volpatti the owner was ready to meet immediately and helped us with all the questions on day one. We fell in love with the places and both the owners Kelly & Rick. They were a call away for anything and everything that was ever needed. They went beyond than what normally any venue would ever do to make the day special for us. We can't thank both of them enough for literally coming to our rescue at the last minute. They were friendly and ready to understand and accommodate what we call a Big Fat Indian Wedding. Apart from the venue, their wines are so amazing that we ended up buying the membership and visiting them at least once a month if not more. I came here over the weekend and everyone was so nice and caring. I found a Groupon for a $50 tasting for two people with a meat and cheese board. I was skeptical at first going because I am not a big fan of wine, so I was afraid it was going to taste like those cheap wines I am used to. I'm so glad I came here though, because the wine was actually super tasty and crisp! I never was a wine girl, but after coming here, it just changed my mind on wine. They gave us 4 tastings and then we got a bottle of wine to take home from this specific winery. I initially thought it was a just a tasting with some cheese and meat, but it also came with a 7 year age local wine! I was very impressed. The vineyards also was a beautiful site to see and we got to sit outside in their little patio area. I wish it wasn't so windy when I went, but nevertheless, I really enjoyed my time here! I recently had a very unfortunate experience at this place. In the past, I've enjoyed coming here and have had nice conversations with the Owner's husband as well as their daughter. The Owner (white woman) was there this time and right from the moment we walked in you could tell she was already not giving us the same energy as the other guests - spoiler alert we're not white. We sat outside because we had dogs and they told us they would come out and serve us through the tasting. Not one time did they come over to us. We got up and went inside each time and they weren't crowded. But I can get past that because not a big deal. When we would get our refills we would try to strike up conversation. We asked about any upcoming events and she said check our website (direct with no friendliness). Now, my cousin works in the wine industry which he made clear from the beginning. When we were done, we got up and left. Didn't feel the need to engage in pleasantries as nothing about this was pleasant at all. As we're walking away the Owner and her husband came out and asked if we forgot something. We explained that we should be all good. The husband said only two people are comped (there were 3 of us). The Owner starts scolding him that it's only two people that are comped. It used to be 3 but when I asked he said the rules are changed. Fine. So I paid for the $15 tasting no problem. Could have gone without the attitude. Well here's where the story really begins. She then calls my cousin at around 8pm at night in an inebriated state -mind you we left around 4 - saying that she texted someone from the company on his business card to confirm he worked there and they said he doesn't work there. Well he did have an injury and isn't currently active which he explained. She then proceeded to verbally harass him and tell him that she's going to put him on blast on Nextdoor and report him. She also said she was going to find where he lived and make him pay the $30 for the two comped tastings. Ma'am if $30 is going to break your business I think we need to revisit your business model. Then he said he would pay the money if she needs but she proceeded to verbally harass him saying she's going to get the money back and threatening him and even going so low as to judge my cousin and my husband on their looks - which again ma'am let's look internally. I'm not one to waste my time writing a review but when you're as unprofessional as this, I can't help but warn others. Avoid this place, they do not deserve people's hard earned money if they can't even respect their clientele. I've never been in this situation in my life with a business owner and it's just embarrassing to the city of Livermore to have a wine tasting room/RV lot that acts in this manner. We stumbled on this winery, but it was a great find and we will be back. The wine makers were pouring and sharing their story--go in and listen it's a great story of how they got started. They poured 6-8 wines, the alcohol content in the wines are about 13-16%. My favorite was the rose! read more

First visit. Had a fun evening sipping wines and dancing to the R&R 80's cover band, Foam Riders. We paid $13 per person cover charge to get in through Eventbrite but upon arrival we noticed many people were just walking in for free and no check in process. Would definitely NOT come back. We purchased a Cabana for our family to drink some wine and and enjoy some island music. To be honest it seemed like we were not as welcome there as the other guest because we were not WHITE. We came inside to purchase wine and the owner kept telling us that we needed to purchase wrist bands if we wanted to stay there past 8pm, because our cabana was for 5pm-8pm and that he would come around to check for wrist bands. I did not see him tell any of the other parties in the cabanas that they would need a wristband past 8pm, probably because they were all white. Would definitely not recommend this winery to spend your money at. I'm sure there are other wineries in Livermore that are more welcoming to guest of all ethnicities. read more

Came here on a whim using our Livermore VIP pass. This place is only 4 years old and makes some solid wines. Some abv is 16% but overall they're great wines. We bought the rose and a few other bottles. Everyone was very nice and glad we could support a smaller winery rather than conglomerate sometimes. read more

Turning off the road for a split second as you make your way back you might think...umm this can't be right. I assure you though it will be! Once you park you'll see a nice patio area, and a welcoming/comfortable tasting room. I loved several of their wines and the enjoyable tasting experience with Rick (wine maker/owner). We knew at the first sip it would be a great visit and it didn't disappoint. We left with cases (yes cases!) of some sale wines and a few extra. This place is amazing!! Arrived later than we had hoped and thought we missed our wine tasting time but to our surprise we were welcomed in and spent hours trying the many different wines they had. All of them were very good and the price of purchasing the ones we really loved were very reasonable. We sat and chatted for a few hours and felt like we had known them for years. Stumbled on this place by accident because my sister-in-law lives antiques, and me, well only a little. So right down the corridor my Nephew saw this tasting room, call Leisure Street Winery. Very attentive young man behind the counter! Sorry forgot his name. It's very small, clean and enjoyable. 3 tastes are free, then more tasting is 10.00 frankly not bad a price at all. They just bottled a new Chardonnay, not being a Chardonnay fan, I tried it (2014 Chardonnay). It was very smooth, not hit the back of your laws like you blew up a balloon like so many others (even high price places). Average wine was 20.00 and up. We found this place almost by accident when I bought a Groupon for there. It's a little off the beaten winery path (although I understand they are moving closer to Tesla Rd soon), so I never would have found it otherwise - I am so glad we did. The winemakers, Rick and Kelly, were very sociable and informative. We got lucky, as we were the only ones in the tasting room, so we got very personalized service. Good experienced yesterday 8-12 for meat and cheese wine tasting. Our server Sean was very nice and friendly. He recommended good choice of wines. My bf and I love the "my Mia, 3s which we got to take home as complimentary, tall dark and handsome bottle, and etc. Meat platters are good. However, wish there was some green and red grapes but no fruits. Highly recommend if you want a great glass of wine/bottle. Atmosphere is relaxing and love all the cute tables.
