The entire wheel coming off my car after service performed at Leith Chrysler Jeep.

Hands down the worst dealership in the Triangle area. Go elsewhere if you can. They exhibit a pattern of disrespect and negligence and will end up putting you and others at risk. I had my car in the shop mid-December for about a week, they replaced several parts and sent videos and pictures of my car. Not 3 weeks later on January 9th, the wheel came entirely off my car and put me and others at risk. Since it had just been at the dealership, I took it back to them. They originally quoted my over $2,000 for the repairs (replacing the lugs, wheel, etc.), which is absurd. My tires were brand new from Discount Tire, I bought them in May, and hadn't had any issues with my car until I took it to Leith Chrysler Jeep in December. I was pretty frustrated and was calling back and forth between Jeep, Discount Tire, and my warranty service for a few days while my car was at the dealership. The service department, specifically Ryan McDuffy and Stephen (the service manager) intentionally ignored my calls and set my number to go to voicemail, and didn't update me on the status of my car until my boyfriend called them (since they didn't have his number blocked). They are refusing to accept any responsibility for not properly conducting repairs on my car, and said they didn't even test drive it before giving my car back to me in on December 23rd. If you want your car fixed by respectful people in a timely manner, don't go to Leith Chrysler Jeep.

I don't know what to say about this dealership . . . I have never left the service dept. without them attempting to overcharge us for something. Note that whenever we are to get work done, we confirm the price before service is done- and somehow, without fail, the cost is $50-100 higher when we pick up. (At least an extra 1/2 hour of labor is added) When we complain, they act like it's a mistake and remove the added-on charges. It's an annoying dance that we regularly have to do. My last visit, however, put my frustration over the top. I have only gone to Leith because they are close and for recalls. But this was for an NC state inspection (which I will never do at a dealership again). I have a garage-kept '14 Grand Cherokee Limited with 55K miles. They performed their "Complimentary inspection" and told me all was fine. Drove less than 5 miles home and woke with a flat tire the next morning. There was a screw sideways in my tread- in practically brand new tires. This is the SECOND TIME I have experienced a flat with a screw in my tire within 2 days of service at Leith Jeep. (It has never otherwise) When I called them and went in, insinuating that it happened in the shop, I was treated VERY rudely and they were extremely condescending like it couldn't possibly have happened in their shop. I was told screws fall off of trucks on the highway all the time. Even though the coincidence is glaring. Saved the screws both times. The first time the screw even had the head sheared off. This was not an accident, TWICE. I know they have notes about me in my profile. I hold them to account and they don't like it. But my gut tells me they are now becoming vindictive and causing problems where none exist. Do not take your vehicle there without double and triple checking what you are being charged and checking ALL of your tires before leaving.

Bob at Leith Jeep was a godsend for me and my wife, he stayed late to make the trade, followed up with me on all my questions and just overall made me and my wife feel special about our purchase! I am quite the difficult customer and had a 3 vehicle trade! Thank you

I left, and noted they did not recalibrate the TPS. Did that and decided to check the tire pressure myself. All four of them were at different pressures, two of which were 20psi OVER where it should be. At this point I'm pressed. We paid $185 for a tire that had a hole and needed patching. I had to call AAA, and I missed half a day of work. We go back. We're like hey, clearly whoever put these on doesn't know wtf they're doing b/c we had a hole and they're all at different pressures and they're over pressure. This sucks, we don't want your shoddy tires we want our money back. They did absolutely jack all to make it right. I drove to my mechanic to make sure the tires were now safe to drive on. They fixed the tire pressure in them, and my mechanic said that I won't die, but the tires they sold me have tread on them so bad they would NOT pass state inspection. $185 and if I had to get an inspection tomorrow I wouldn't pass? Are you for real right now? This is unreal and not right. Integrity is dead in the modern age.

So when I returned in July '17, I was surprised to find the place had changed hands and undergone one heck of a facelift. Since July I've had the pleasure of dealing with Bryan and Elizabeth several times because I've recently purchased two new-to-me vehicles that have needed some work. Bryan is the best kind of mechanic. He not only knows his stuff, he'll show you what's wrong, and explains how he plans to fix the problem before diving in. I've received nothing but exceptional customer service from him and Elizabeth each and every time I've passed through their door. It's always nice to find a great mechanic, and if you're looking for someone who exemplifies honesty while offering great service for a reasonable cost, you've found your shop. I won't be taking my vehicles anywhere else so long as they're in business.

We experienced an engine malfunction with my daughter's car, which sounded like a misfire. I checked reviews for nearby garages, and Village Motor Works seemed to be pretty good, so my daughter took it here. They diagnosed the primary issue as a stretched and jumped timing chain, with secondary impacts to the coils and plugs. I dealt with two service advisors--one was nice and helpful, but the other was rather rude and dismissive. Unfortunately, my primary service advisor was the rude one. Maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe he had a lot going on. I don't know, but I called up to discuss the diagnosis, and he was extremely dismissive. I tried to get him to walk me through how they arrived at their verdict, and he just repeatedly stated with absolute certainty that it was a timing chain issue. He quoted me $3,679 to replace the timing chain (typical is around $2,400-$2,800) plus $2,400 for plugs and coils (should be no more than about $1,200-$1,700). Given the misfires, I completely understand the rationale for replacing the plugs, but one could argue replacement of any/all coils is unnecessary. I tried to talk through some ways to get the job pared back, but he was unyielding. $6,000+ or get your car off my lot. So I did. I had it towed elsewhere, and the second garage correctly diagnosed the problem as a misfire caused by a single failed coil. I was back on the road for a little over $1,300, and that included a second diagnostic fee and a tow. In summary, I do not think they dreamed up the timing issue to extort money out of me (which is why I am not leaving a one-star rating), but I do think their tech misdiagnosed the core issue. I could even live with that, but then they were rude to boot. Two stars.

Discount Tire's Journey Tracker app actually worked properly this time around (it didn't work at all at Wake Forest). I used it to notify that I was on the way, and of my arrival after I parked at the designated lot. It was about five minutes before the appointment time when I arrived. Despite the day being a public holiday (Martin Luther King, Jr.), the wait time was a fraction of the 5-minute I had suffered at Wake Forest. After the staff member looked at my car, he determined that the tire had to be replaced. Since I didn't purchase a warranty, I paid full price for the replacement. Unlike at Wake Forest, the staff member told me approximately what time the my car would be ready for pickup, and that the technicians worked on my car almost immediately (Wake Forest didn't get to it until almost four hours later). Journey Tracker was updated to show 1) time window of my arrival and 2) estimated completion time. The text message on my phone showed the check-in time of 3:19pm. Like at Wake Forest, 4400 Fayetteville has three bays; unlike at Wake Forest, 4400 Fayetteville were operating three service areas full-time in their bays during the entire time I was there. The waiting area was less than half-full. l returned almost an hour later but didn't wait long to pick up my car. The text message notified me at 4:12pm that it was ready. That was the time that I got into my car and left. Total wait time was less than an hour. Why did I choose 4400 Fayetteville? Because they had appointments available the next day while all the other locations didn't. I was expecting similar crappy services that I had at Wake Forest, but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the case. It restored my confidence in Discount Tire and reaffirmed that not all of their locations are the same. Even though 4400 Fayetteville is out of the way for me, I will consider going back here for future services.
