I am updating my review as they did reach out and explain the issue. They did repair the vehicle for the cost of parts, it does seem to work much better. I do wish this was all taken care of the first time. I live 40 minutes from the dealership so it's not as easy as it would be if it was closer. Extremely shady service. Had parts that only the service people would have touched on the caliper by removing the rotors. When put back together and driving home from day 1 I had a short squeak when I started moving and stopped. I was told I it was brake dust. I sprayed the wheels with water, air whatever and never stopped. Well I dealt with itt until I needed oil change. If anyone knows yOu can't keep going bacK to the dealership for everything thing. This was a 55,000 truck. 2016 Sierra hd2500. Takes for ever just to get checked in. In any event, my daughter brought it down and I asked them to do an oil change, toots rotation and clean the brake dust. Well... they tell me my caliper is bad and they will pay the labor and I pay the parts. Odd..... they never start out with that. Just Purchased a NEW 2022 Sierra Denali 2500HD from them ON 2/14/22 and they made it a very bittersweet experience, more bitter than sweet unfortunately. These 2 i named will take advantage of you because of inventory shortage and threaten the whole time to sell vehicle to next person in line if you don't do IN-HOUSE FINANCING, even when i had a HARD APPROVAL in paper from my bank, Sales Manager denied to sell truck to me if i did my own bank because they would not get their commission from their bank. THREATENED TO MARK UP 5-10K MSRP Sticker price if we did our own bank. They swear up and down only ONE financing company out of like 4 or 5 they only run applications thru had approved me . But little did they know i had a HARD APPROVAL FROM MY BANK FOR ONLY 4.39% APR. Compared to their "13%" APR that their IN HOUSE bank had approved me for. So just because i had been waiting for this truck since NOVEMBER, i signed just to have truck in my hands because like i said BOTH of them kept threatening to call off the deal since i didn't want to do IN HOUSE financing with them. Thankfully i have my hard approval from my bank so we are already working on re-financing with our own bank that had the wayyyyyyyyy better apr since the beggining. We EVEN OFFERED TO ADD A COSIGNER (this person has a great credit score) and Sales Manager DAVID SWANN DENIED TO re-run the application with a cosigner in there. SO just because my truck is in very high demand right now they take advantage of the situation and threaten you to sell it to next person in line. I HAVE PROOF IN TEXTS where Sales Person Johnny Shields agreed to hold truck for me by just sending in a pic of my drivers license. Just purchased a 2009 Pontiac program car from Leith. Previously I have purchased two other vehicles from this location. This was the most pleasant car purchase I have ever made. My Sales person was a sales professional. There were no negative comments, such as degrading my current car because of its mileage. All of the persons impressed me with how they did their part of the transaction. On the premises are dealerships for Ford, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep , Kia, as well as Buick/GMC. Had a recall of the Catalyst on my 2016 Jeep Cherokee. This is the ONLY vehicle I have. According to the Recall Notice, the repair would take 2 hours. Called Leith Jeep Service for repair & was told they would order the part & call when it was in to schedule appt. Part came in & was told during scheduling of appt. that the repair would take 2-3 days. When I asked why, I was told that the engine needed to cool first. Understandable - hot engine, bare hands, burns, etc. So I said if I bring in car in the early morning (8:00 am) it should be cooled sufficiently to work on in afternoon, right? Was told, no, it would be the next day & they would have to drive it & test it to make sure all was well, so it would be the 3rd day before I could get my car. What? So I asked why the car had to cool for 24 hrs., take 2 hrs. to repair, get tested, etc. & then I could pick it up on the 3rd day. I was told, very condescendingly, that was the time it would take. They did, however, put recall issues in front of regular maintenance issues. Right. While I still didn't understand the length of time needed, I made the appt. & dropped my car at 7:50 am on Monday & made arrangements for someone to take me home. When I called Wednesday morning at 10:00, I was told that my car was not ready & it would be Thursday. Seriously?!? When I asked why, I was told that's just how it would be. Again, condescendingly. I hung up before I exploded, called back & asked to speak with the overall Jeep Service Manager. Had to leave him a voicemail, but explain my problem & confusion & asked for a callback. 2 hours later, he called to let me know that he had pulled my car from the list of 10-14 CARS IN FRONT OF IT & moved it to the head of the line. This was 3 DAYS LATER. They texted me at 5:24 pm to say my car was ready, but they would be closing in 6 minutes - I live 15 minutes away that time of day. Needless to say, I went the next morning (the 4th day) & retrieved my car. Here's my question: Why couldn't they have just told me they were really busy & that was why it would take so long? If I had been told that, I would have scheduled the appt. for later in the week because IT WAS NOT GOING TO TAKE THEM 3 DAYS TO MAKE THE REPAIR. Letting the engine cool, I get. Making sure it works properly, I get. But the lying & condescension, I do not get! It will be a cold day in you know where before I go back there or buy another car from them. I take no joy in this... I really don't. My experience was not very good. I don't know anything about selling cars at a dealership. I bet it sucks. I bet it really sucks. I felt like the salespeople were a little too aggressive, which seemed like desperation, which made me feel pretty bad for them. Remember "Gill" from The Simpsons? Yeah... that was my salesperson. As soon as I got out of the car, I was pounced on. I don't prefer that kind of tactic, and that's just me. You might find it helpful. I was in the market for a very specific kind of vehicle--I don't want hurt the salesperson's feelings, so I don't want to get too specific in case they're reading this. Lets just say it WASN'T a four-door sedan. I communicated to the salesperson what kind of car I was looking for, and the 2 or 3 specific makes/models I was looking for, and we walked the lot. This consisted of us walking past rows of cars I was absolutely not interested in, and were NOTHING like the makes/models I'd said I was looking for while the salesperson would point at four-door sedans (I had said I wasn't interested in) and going, "what about a Kia?!?", "what about a Chrystler?!?" I'm familiar with cars. I watch car shows, I read reviews, I do a little maintenance, and in general, I'd say I'd make myself look stupid talking to a real mechanic, but I'm more knowledgeable than most people. I quickly began to suspect that I knew more about cars than the salesperson. Maybe they were playing dumb to generate sympathy? I don't know... We walked the entire lot while the salesperson continued to point out rows and rows of cars that were NOTHING like what I had explained I was looking for. Most of the stock was fine... I guess? I didn't look too closely at most of it because it was so far from what I was looking for. There were A LOT of really cheap, boring, mediocre American cars and foreign imports. There's nothing wrong with that, if that's what you want. There just wasn't a lot of... good cars--as far as reputation, engineering, reviews, re-sale value and style go. This is not a criticism, this is just me letting you know what to expect. If you're in the market for a Chrysler 200, you're going to find many to choose from. Want a Subaru? Not so much... I was pretty surprised how much JUNK was on the lot--cars with major body damage, cars on the lot that didn't seem to have been cleaned or detailed, broken headlights, cracked windows, cars that looked like they had been ragged-out by me when I was in high school... It's not a good look. Kind of screams, "we will sell anything!" I didn't see that at other dealerships. The lot had nothing for me, but we went inside and checked the Leith database. The salesperson was very eager to please, and likable, but seemed desperate. They were able to find a car comparable to what I was looking for at another Leith dealership in the county. The salesperson said they could have it delivered for a test drive if I promised to show-up as scheduled. I think they personally had to pick it up and return it. I promised I would come back and made an appointment to do so. When I went back the second time for the test drive, I just wanted to walk the lot myself so I could take my time without feeling pressured browsing the inventory again. As soon as I got out of the car, I was pounced on by a different salesperson, and I let them know I just wanted to walk the lot a bit. They didn't take a hint that I didn't want to be bothered, and they weren't taking "I'm fine, thank you" for answer. At that point, I shelved my southern upbringing and embraced a little Philadelphia I picked up from a day-trip back in 2000. I was pretty rude in making it clear that I didn't want to be bothered. I didn't like that I had to do that to get some breathing room. I walked the lot again, and... I didn't miss anything the first time around. I went to the sales office to take my test drive and... no one had picked up the car... wasn't there... Attempts were made to throw someone else under the bus, but bottom line... car wasn't there despite me being asked to promise to show up as scheduled, and me being a serious buyer who did so. Not a huge deal, but I had lined up some other test drives at other dealerships, and I wasn't able to make it back. I don't know if they ever did get the car... I don't think I even got a follow-up call back about it. The place wasn't busy, but they definitely let me slip through the cracks. Turned out great for me though. Instead of settling for what Leith had in stock, I was able to find the make/model I thought I'd never find at my price-point at another dealer who were... way better... No one wronged me here (except maybe the annoying salesperson who wouldn't take the hint to back off) but the sales staff I dealt with didn't seem knowledgeable, and they sort of wasted my time. This place is awful. I will be calling the better business bureau on them. I had a simple problem with my car. The shift cable needed a piece replaced. They lied over and over and over and said I had to replace the whole cable. 250$. I said are you sure you can't just replace the clip at the end. And they again said no no ma'am you have to replace the whole cable. So I got frustrated and took my car home. Did some research and ordered the clip (13$) myself. I had a neighbor come over and install it for me. Only took 5 minutes and my car is fixed. These people tried to rip me off and take 250$ from me. I am not pleased and will do something about this. God knows who else they are taking money from. If it wasn't for my gut instinct I would be out 250$. They will not be getting away with this! They have not heard the last from me.. P.s I mean why else would they make replacement pieces if the whole thing had to be replaced. Just a thought.. read more

I just want to let everyone know I am extremely displeased with the purchase of my 2013 Chevrolet Traverse on 2/17/21. Purchasing a vehicle from a big name dealer I thought would get me a quality vehicle. In return I received a very unsafe vehicle that I have been using as my everyday driver with my children. I took my car into the Chevrolet dealership in southern pines this morning to have the brakes serviced due to squealing and I was informed that my vehicle shouldn't even be operational due to all the issues provided below.. Especially the loose motor!! The mechanic told me it was extremely unsafe to drive because the motor was on the verge of falling out. I thought GMC and Chevy took care of their customers... Did a top grade inspection??.. Clearly not considering I've made 1 payment on this vehicle and I had the water pump issue not even a week after I bought the vehicle. Which I was promised reimbursement that I HAVE NOT RECEIVED YET!!.. and now I have over a $2000 bill that I have to have resolved so I can ensure my car is safe to drive with my children in it. DO NOT.. I mean DO NOT purchase a vehicle from LEITH IN WENDELL. I understand you take a gamble with used vehicles however, this car SHOULD NOT have passed inspection and IT DID. That's scary!! Wonder what other DEATH TRAPS they've put other customers in and are on our roads.. I am extremely upset because I was in extreme need of a 3rd row SUV and I feel extremely taken advantage of. To the service department of Leith GMC in wendell I set up my appointment online and provided details on the recall that I needed address the model info for my vehicle. I needed to know how long the service would take as I was waiting for my car and had several appointments that day. I emailed two different email addresses several times (both from the confirmation about my appointment) and then called and left a message, none of my attempts to contact you were returned. The morning of my service I called and spoke to the service rep about the time. He looked up my service appointment and confirmed the recall and informed the the amount of time it would take. Once I arrived for my appointment I was told that sometimes the parts were not in stock, and after waiting for 20 minutes I was informed that indeed the parts for my car were not in stock. This is deplorable customer service. Not only was I ignored multiple times I scheduled the appointment and provided all the the information needed to ensure my parts could be on hand more than a week prior to my appointment. Obviously you do no value my time or you would have ensured my service could proceed at the time of my service. If parts were not going to be available someone should have called me to reschedule my appointment before I took time out of my life for this wasted trip. To make matters even worse, upon leaving I was told that I would be called once the parts were in stock. Guess what....... no one has called me or followed up. You better believe that you will not receive any of my business and I will warn anyone away from doing business with you. read more

Gave 1 star because it would not allow me to give zero. Took my vehicle in for oil change and to check the noise coming from the starter. My car has never had anything done to it besides oil changes. They first called and said needs a new starter. Next day got a call and one of the bolts holding the starter on was cross threaded. The next call was the the bolt is broken off, but not from them. The next call was that it was going to take 3 weeks to get new bolts, but I could buy the bolts online somewhere and bring them in to expedite. The next call was they found some bolts that may work but now they need to drop the transmission and the cross bar to get in and retap and drill out the broken bolt. More money $$! When I asked if there was a possibility that the technician could have caused this the advisor was very quick to respond " there is no way". When all this was said and done we tried to talk to the service manager Ken after waiting almost an hour to speak to him and he stated the same that there was no chance the technician caused the broken bolts because they would have claimed it if they did it, they have an honor system. We never had any problems with our vehicle and the warranty recently expired so any work done would have been documented and there was none. So they are claiming that my Cadillac Escalade came from the factory like this. I truly find it hard to believe that with the way all this went down the technician was not responsible for cross threading and braking the bolts especially because they kept referring to this as a very tight area to work in, hence why the transmission had to be dropped just to get in to fix these bolts. Needless to say I am very disappointed in the service and will not be taking my vehicle back there or do any business at all there in the future. read more

In my car quest, Leith Autopark East was dealership #7 that I visited. I called on Thursday, February 24th to check their hours and make sure they were ready for me to come out and check out a certified red 2009 Vibe I'd been watching for about a week. I could barely understand or hear the man on the phone, but I gave him my name, number, told him when I'd be headed over, and specifically which car I wanted to see. As my research had progressed, I was nearing the conclusion that this may be the car for me. I was even going to leave a dinner early to check it out because I felt so sure about it. Matt, my "car buying husband" met up with me and rode with me out to Wendell. We arrived at 7:35 having followed all sorts of weird turns that Matt's GPS took us on, but with 25 minutes to spare before closing time. The guy who had supposedly talked to me on the phone or was related to the Vibe wasn't available and no one else would help me so we had to wait for him. I was confused and frustrated at this especially because the red Vibe was nowhere in sight. Then it pulled up and shortly after that Gregg Jacobs walked in. He informed me that he'd just sold the red Vibe that I had come there so sure I would buy. What?!? Did I NOT just tell them barely an hour ago that I was coming to look at it and give them my NAME and NUMBER?!? I was floored. My jaw was on the floor and I couldn't believe that this guy would sell the car right out from under me when they knew I was coming to see it. I saw the lady who was buying it just outside transferring all her stuff to the red Vibe. Just how much creepier could car dealers get?!? He pointed out a white 2010 Vibe that was sitting up front which I could look at. This one was way above what I'd calculated in terms of the 2009 Vibe so I hesitated, but figured I'd still give it a test drive. Seemed cool. When we got back he told us it was actually a thousand more than what he'd told us before. He then proceeded to drive us around the lot pointing out other cars. My response, "price is too high," "too big," "too small," "mpg is worse off than I have now," "don't like that brand," etc. Clearly he's not listening just like Capital Ford didn't listen and trying to make quota. We talked about my trade-in value. He said he'd get back to me at lunch time the next day to see if they could come down and pay off my car. Every time I would walk away to look at the Vibe or get information out of my car Matt would tell him how we'd been "looking for months," "heard great things about them," "loved that car," "really wanted to bring him business," and so on and so on... Matt's the master at playing with them since they're so good at playing with US. Meanwhile as we were leaving an hour later we saw the lady driving away in her new red Vibe... Well lunch time the next day came and went...and I'd found another Vibe I liked even better somewhere else. I called to inquire about it and checked in with Gregg. He said he'd have to talk to his manager and would call me back in an hour. An hour came and went and no call. Called him back. Said he'd call me in 5 minutes. In 5 minutes he still hadn't called me so I got on the phone to see about the other Vibe I found elsewhere. Finally Gregg called me back and was pushing for me to come in that night. I told him I needed to know the NUMBERS before I come out there again because last time I did that he sold a car out from under me and I'll not have my time (or gas money) wasted again. He couldn't give me any numbers so he passed me to his manager who said he could PROBABLY pay my car off and lower the price some, but still not to my absolute target price. I said, I'd think about it. A few hours later Gregg called me to ask if I was coming in. I told him, "well I'm sorry but I have tickets to the symphony and Matt and I just can't make it" which was true, but...He asked about Saturday. "I'm sorry, but Matt has to work tomorrow and we have to make this decision together." Little does he know that Matt's actually married to my best friend Christie and we're going to another dealership the next day instead. I can play his game just like he played me. I told him I'd be in touch with him on Monday. Well the next day I bought a car and when Gregg called on Monday ("it's time to close out the month with good sales!") I told him I"d found a better deal elsewhere. That same white 2010 Vibe is now posted for a thousand dollars less online...stick with your numbers and offers Gregg and maybe you'll do Leith Autopark some business. read more

I have been working with this Dealership forever. I remember when Leith Ford was down the street before AutoPark. I love the way they have the different manufacturers divided with sales & service. However, the reason for my very low grading is due to my recent visit. I trusted my repair with them rather than a regular mechanic I use in Knightdale. I thought they could get to it faster and do it according to the Manufacturer. I was wrong, the vehicle still has problems. I will probably be returning again due to these issues. However last time my blood pressure went through the roof and I had to leave immediately before blowing a fuse. I highly recommend finding a local mechanic that you can get to know. One that you can speak to directly and get a honest diagnosis, etc. I believe this Dealership has some great people that work their tails off everyday, however some days people can drop the ball. Heck, I've done it, but not twice with the same Customer and send them on their way when you know the vehicle isn't right. If a Customer of mine complains that they hear a noise, smell an odor, we check it thoroughly and do not return it b/c we simply give up. read more

Took our brand new Acadia Denali in to look at a tiny dimple in the leather. Ryan immediately said they'd replace the whole upper chair leather piece but also that they'd Simoniz both headrests (which we had done before taking delivery and subsequently had replaced aftermarket with ones that have DVD players). They went above and beyond and never even took time to think about it. I'm really impressed with the level of customer satisfaction they strive for, and meet exceedingly, as dealers are notorious for horrible service. If I could give no stars I would. I purchased a used BMW from Leith Buick and GMC of Wendell in mid February. Less than a month later my car has to be towed due to all the oil leaking from the car because of a cracked oil filter housing. Leith performed an oil change on the car prior to selling it to me. I have reached out to my salesman, Victor Perez, who has taken no responsibility, the GM Doug Durham. They passed me off to another manager who I've been working with off of and on. After I replaced the oil filer housing at my own expense, the car still had residual issues. Once their GM got involved they requested to see the vehicle. They arranged to have it towed back to their dealership where it sat for days before anyone touched it. Communication is basically nonexistent with this dealership. I had to take off my job and drove 52 miles each way on 4 separate occasions just to be able to speak to someone. After weeks of back and forth and waiting on a proper diagnosis I finally had my car towed to the BMW dealership in Durham for them to run a proper diagnostic and determine that the car jumped timing due to have no oil-a direct result of the botched oil changed that performed. I have made 2 car payments on a car that I have yet to drive because of an error that this dealership's service department made. Leith is refusing to cover the discounted cost of the repair, $2300. I've been without my car for almost 2 months. These men are crooks plain and simple. I wouldn't buy a match box car from them! read more

If I could give them a Zero I would. We broke down in NC and had to spent over a week trying to get my car fixed. Every day it was a different issue, couldn't find the part or needed another part. After 1 week, they sent us home with a part still not working and told us to take it to our local dealership which we did. Much to our surprise, they put one part on backwards which cause everything else they did to go bad. Now they won't pay for the damage that their service department cause and everything done the first time should have been covered under my warranty which they refused to look up. terrible terrible. i have had two terrible experiences with this dealer . after the first service i was hesitant about returning but i did and i explained that to them. i spent 2000 dollars on my ac last year and the unit only blows hot air now. was told by romeo that the vehicle should have been bought back after a few weeks driving to get rechecked and i did unfortunately the lady i spoke to when i arrived didnt know anything about this. the previous week i had spoke to a manager that stated everything would be arranged as he would be on vacation that week. also when i went to pick up the vehicle it would not start found out they had left interior light on which resulted in a completely dead battery. but they were happy to sell me a new battery with free installation , o wow what a deal. also my trip odometer was not operational and spare parts were left under hood. can't wait to have them service one of my other 3 vehicles. read more

Drove over 50 minutes one way to look at a vehicle that was advertised on the internet. Nice salesman, very helpful and personable. Got the "deal" back and the price of the vehicle had jumped by more than $2,200 over the price listed on the internet. and the trade in price offered for my current vehicle was over $2,400 less than the average trade in price from KBB and Edmunds. When I puled up the internet info on my phone the salesman went back to the manager. The manager came out and when I questioned him on the price of the vehicle he informed me that they have a very complex computer system and it takes a while for prices to be updated? Interesting. Perhaps they need to invest in a new computer system that would give them quicker information. The price on the vehicle was quickly dropped to the advertised price. Basically was told that if I could get a higher price on trade in from Carmax then that is where I should go. I would not deal with this dealership if they gave me a car. Over three hours of my time that was wasted and I still have questions on why the price of the vehicle was not as advertised.. read more
