12/13/13: I stopped by to get my tire pressure checked. The guy told me that I had a nail in my tire that wasn't bad & for me to keep an eye on it. It didn't need patching or anything according to him & they were too busy to take the nail out. So, I went home & woke up the next day to a completely flat tire. I ended up ordering a brand new set of tires from them online. The next day when my tires arrived, I had my vehicle towed there and the tires replaced. The cost of the tires was good compared to other tire places in the area, so I went with them. They sent me a message letting me know when I could pick my vehicle up. Because I purchased my tires online, Mike told me that I'd have to show my ID when I came to get my vehicle. When I got there, the guy at the register simply gave me my key and an envelope with my receipt for my tires. No ID was ever requested. I wasn't that happy with this entire experience because I feel that the nail in my tire should've been handled the first day but because they were busy, they told me that I was good to leave with it. I was going to get my tires from Acura but had to get these due to my flat tire and not being able to wait days to replace them. I recommend this place if you're looking for reasonably priced tires. I love this place and they do great work and stand by it. Why 4 instead of 5 Stars? My wife needed some repairs and they accurately assessed her tires all four of them as needing to be replaced. I was at work and not with her, later after I was looking at the bill because it seemed a little high I found that they tagged on the warranty. I said, honey why did you pay over $100 for the warranty and she had no idea that she paid for it . Unfortunately, I think they probably just slipped it in and expected a female Not to doublecheck Although I give this place a great review Check the invoice before you pull out your credit card. I bought a full set of tires from Yahoo discount tire in Knightdale. I was happy that I could get free tire rotations and etc. I have recommended them to several people. I also enjoyed the pull up free service to get a air check on my tires. This is where the problem began. I had utilized the free check air service in the last few years, but recently (I actually have gone 3 times at different days and times) in the last month or so the free air check has not happened. They also moved the service to in front of the entrance door.. I have sat in my car waiting all 3 times for 8-10 minutes and no one even bothered to acknowledge me. Today I attempted to call them while I was sitting in my car and no one answered the phone. I am not sure what is going on,but it appears that good customer service is no longer happening there. read more

I arrived about 10 mins before app and was greeted promptly at the door. Sales rep told me it would probably take about an hour but after 45 mins my service was complete. I was very satisfied with the entire process. I had a great experience visiting Discount Tire on one Thursday night. One gentleman named Travis helped me with my needs that night without offering any unnecessary services. He was very professional and explained different perks I will have with Discount Tire by doing business with them in a non-aggressive way. Thanks! I also love how fast the service was for installing new tires. I arrived about an hr before the store closed and was out within one hour. One thing I love about Discount Tire is that they own their tires until the end of tires' lives. The two new tires and my two used tires (I bought their insurance for $16 per tire, total of $32, for my used tires) have life time insurance so that if something happens to any one of them, Discount Tire will fix them for no cost. If they cannot fix it, they will replace the tire with a brand new one. I love that they will take care of my tires until I am ready for new sets! I loved this particular location's service so I plan to visit this location from now on. But Discount Tire has lots of other locations in case you need to check out your tires when you are away from home! read more

Discount Tire of Knightdale is great for consumers. Not blaming them for the awful increase in tire prices of 2022. But I hope their Corporate Office will negotiate cheaper tire prices in the upcoming 2023 now that gas prices are down. I have used Discount Tire of Knightdale for at least the last 6 or 7 years for over 7 vehicles. They have always been reasonably priced (till no one and nothing has been since early 2022) and excellent customer service. With appointment quick or as walk in always been willing to fit me in. Naturally a bit of a wait at very busy times. Love they only do tires, some rims, and natural tire accessories such as TPS. No Alignments, brakes... Always get the road warranty. Never any argument as to why a tire needs repair or replacement. And mine have always still been covered under warranty. My only cost being the road certificate fee to cover the new tire if it needed replacing. One last thing, once your car goes in the bay area rest assured it will be out shortly. Not pulled in and left to sit. Lol okay two things, you can use any Discount Tire to honor your warranty. read more

This Discount tire used to be the best, most reasonable and organized shop in the area. However, it has slipped consistently and I'm not going to continue using them although I've purchased five sets of tires from them over the past eight years. Main reasons: 1. They didn't stand behind the last set I purchased for my truck. 2. They have started illogical pressure sales over my last 5 rotation visits on various cars. 3. Their speed and work logistics are less than half of what it once was. 4. When you make an appointment for rotate and balance, you still wait almost 45 minutes before they even start. read more

You simply wont find anyone better. I've been a discount tire customer for years now and have purchased countless sets of tires and had many interactions with many different locations. While this review is for the Knightdale store specifically they've all been fantastic. So just to show you the level of quality and commitment they've got I was in Ashville buying a car that I needed to drive home that day. Its a 5 hour drive to where I live the tires on the car where awful. I went and got tires there and told them I didn't want these tires and wanted the proper tires ordered. The Knightdale store ordered the tires and had the available the next day when I got back to Raleigh. They instantly no question asked swapped them for the tires id ordered and honored their satisfaction guarantee. The issue I've had today was with my wife's Suzuki Kizashi. If you've owned a Kizashi you absolutely know that the tpms sensors on this car are a nightmare. No one at the store could figure this out. It was frustrated and my temper was high however JC went and especially looked into figuring the issue out himself. Within minutes of him taking charge the issue was resolved. Discount tire may not always have the resolution right away and that's perfectly acceptable. What they will do however is bend over backwards for customer satisfaction. They always go above and beyond to figure out and resolve the problem. I'm a customer for life and wont ever realistically consider going anywhere else regardless of price. read more

My first time ever coming here in the summer were because I had screws in my tire. They told me upfront that if the item was removable and repairable on my tire it would be free of charge. That ended up being the case for me! They have always been upfront and honest with me, and this is not the type of place to cheat you out of your money. I also like what you are paying for upfront before they service your car, especially during trying times like we are all facing. This location of Discount Tire made me a fan. I went there with a nail in my tire, they fixed if for free, which I didn't expect. The manager said, "We do that because we want you to remember us when you need tires." I DID. I have bought all of my tires for personal and business cars there for about ten years now. I also bring my new cars there immediately and get road hazard warranties on all of the tires for about $115 total. All it takes is one irreparable flat and you've made money on the deal. This is consistently the shortest wait for service of all the Discount Tire locations in this part of North Carolina. Their prices are reasonable, their service is prompt and friendly, and their recommendations for what tire to buy are excellent. read more

Brought my vehicle here for a free rotation/balance that you get if you purchase your tires with them, and they nicked and/or scratched ALL of my rims! I washed my car a few days later and saw all nicks and scratches. They literally damaged every rim. Will never return to this location and will record videos/take photos in the parking lot when I drop my car off to any other location from now on. These rims aren't exactly cheap to replace/repaint! Would highly NOT recommend. There are too many locations for you to take a chance with this one. The damage that they did is beyond careless. read more

Yeah, this place rules. The best part about this place is now pretty apparent to me: they ONLY do tires. Before, I dinged them for not doing alignments, but this is actually a good thing--because they can get you in and out quicker. The other best part about this place is that because they don't perform any other services, the sales people do not try to upsale you other services that you may not need or want. They have no incentive whatsoever to pad your bill, lie to your face, over-exaggerate your needs, or pressure you into ridiculous add-on's. You cannot walk into this place wanting tires, and leave with new brakes, suspension, exhaust et cetera because ol' Joe Blow said yours were shot. The sales staff are VERY helpful and will do everything they can to give you the lowest price. They have been honest with me, they have advised me with options to save me money, they've talked me out of unnecessary expenditures. The guys in the back were really awesome and accommodated my needs even when I had special requests. Price-wise, they can't be beat. Literally. They match anyone's price. If they don't have the tire you need/want, they can sometimes provide you a comparable product for the same price. Bottom line is, they will bend over backwards to provide you the best product and the best service, at the best price--as long as you are making reasonable requests. I don't think I've ever paid a dime at discount tire. My husband has, as he bought a new set of tires here. But I've only come in for the errant nail or two that gets stuck. This could be a huge pain, but at discount tire its been relatively hassle free. I make an appointment, show up, and usually in less than an hour my tire is patched at no charge. The service is excellent and I never feel talked down to (ladies who have dealt with mechanics, you know what I'm talking about). When it does come time for me to spend money on a new set of tires, it's very likely that I'll do so here. read more

This was the first tire shop I frequented when I bought my first car. It seems like it was better 8 years ago; three years ago, however, it was a headache trying to work with them. I recommend the Discount Tire location on Six Forks Road in Raleigh, instead. The first offense was when I had set up an appointment to get my tires rotated for 5:30, well over a week in advance. When I arrived at 5:25, they informed me that they would be "willing to fit me in," if I had about 15 minutes to wait. I was frustrated, since I had scheduled an appointment with them, but I had some free time and agreed to wait, anyway. Time passed, 6:15 rolled around, and I was the only one left in the lobby, save for the salesman. I ended up asking for my keys back and refused to reschedule with them. The final straw was when I returned about three months later after scheduling another appointment for tire rotation. I had scheduled, again, for a 5:30 appointment. When I pulled up for the appointment at 5:25, the salesman I spoke to complained that I "should've been here at 3:30." I was confused and pointed out that I had scheduled for 5:30, like the (attempted) previous time. They assured me that I was mistaken and that I had scheduled for 3:30 (I checked the automated confirmation email I received for my appointment, and, sure enough, I picked 5:30; I don't know where they were getting 3:30). Despite this, however, they seemed annoyed with me and refused to rotate them because my tires weren't "worn enough," despite waiting 7,000 miles to get them rotated, as recommended. So, needless to say, I've stopped going to this location. Edit (November 2016): The Six Forks Rd location in Raleigh is still awesome. I visited them for a tire rotation a few days ago, and they acknowledged my appointment and got me out of there within an hour. I do not miss the one in Knightdale. read more

Absolutely phenomenal service from the Discount Tire team members in Knightdale!! I knew I had a nail in my tire so I went in to get it patched (which they did in a VERY timely manner AND did it for free) but they also looked out for my safety and made sure I was aware that my tire tread depth was low and likely would not be able pass state inspection. I honestly didn't realize it was that low so I was happy they checked it upon my arrival. During the repair it was also pointed out to me that one of my sidewalls had an air bubble in it as well, which I also had no idea about prior to showing up! Even though you don't like hearing you need new tires, I was glad that they were up front about it and honest from the beginning. I will be returning soon once my tires are in stock! This place is awesome! I made an appointment online to replace two damaged front tires. No one tried to up-sell me on anything and they were very helpful and courteous the entire time I was there. At 8:30 AM on a Monday it was not exactly busy but my entire experience was not more than 25 minutes. They told me I had one bad valve stem and they wanted to make sure I was ok with them changing it and I was. At the end I ended up having four bad ones and they were generous to give me a sweet deal with the replacement of my valve stems and sensor and my installation! I purchased 4 tires. Left the parking lot and the tire ! Light came on. I called and they told me to come back and they would reset the light. I came back then then told me 2 of the sensors were not working. It would cost $120 to replace both broken sensors. I find it very odd that my sensors were working fine when i pulled in the parking lot with the old tires. I purchase new tires and they give my car back with two broken sensors. I can understand one sensor suddenly not working, but 2 at once?? We've had work done here before without a problem. The only plus is that the guys working here, in general, seem like hard working fellas. I will try my luck somewhere else next time. read more

This is my second trip here and I love these guys. They are super friendly and knowledgeable and don't mind taking the time to explain everything or go over options without being condescending. They close at 6 but when I got off work today I noticed my tire was low...by the time I got here at 6:30 they were still more than happy to get me in and check things out. The tires here are a great value and if you get the insurance plan it's even better. I have no problem paying for the insurance plan to make it easier to get my tires plugged or replaced if needed. I seriously recommend coming here to get your tires replaced or plugged. The waiting area is spacious and has tons of magazines. My one and only complaint is no free WiFi, but that's what I get for having a short attention span. :) read more

I had a nail in the sidewall of my tire. I made an appointment for 1:30 PM. Arrived, walked in, Chris Moody approached. He looked me up in the computer and asked if we could go outside to look at the tire. It needed to be replaced. He checked the other three tires and showed me that ALL of them had very little tread left. We went inside, picked out a set of tires (I had put the exact same set on my Subaru a week earlier. For about $30 MORE per tire!). I approved the sale. It was 1:45 PM. I went to a nearby restaurant to eat lunch. At 2:10 PM, I received a call: "The car was ready!" That was great service! A nice facility. A sales person who treated me fairly and honestly. Great experience! read more
