Recently, my aunt paid for a preseason maintenance call (6/2/26) for her AC unit like she has for the past 14 years. After changing her filters they told her the unit was fine. This visit was very quick and it was an easy $260 in their pockets. One week later she turns on the unit and the upstairs isn't working. Well guess what, another service call and techs that don't know left from right and don't have all the tools they need to test the system, they need to contact their boss and leave. BUT not before taking her credit card payment for the service call, so another $150. When I called to have this explained to me, the office manager Jeff over talks me and hangs up when I asked if he thought that was good business practice. Bottom line, DO NOT USE THEM unless you want poor service, techs that act like it's the first time they have seen an AC unit before and a company that is rude. There are plenty of reputable companies in this area now besides them. Wish I could give NO STARS!!!

Aquidneck Services wax on the preferred provider list and they are local for us. The need assessment was done quickly as was the quote. We chose our plan and arranged all the rebate/financial and within a month had the equipment installed. What a change! Should have done it long ago. Thanks to Eddie and Simon for helping with the process (and answering a lot of questions!) and to Tim and Jonah who installed the mini-splits and took the time to ensure the correct placement for max coolness (and also answered lot of questions!) Tim had to determine best placement of outside hoses for the bedroom unit and then make it work. All work looks fantastic! They also offer annual maintenance. We are very pleased with the service.

After calling, Katie explained this to me, and explained that she would contact me back once a slot filled open. They explained what they would be doing and went out and bought the tools they needed and repaired the pipe in a few hours. I also had some other unrelated piping issues and the tech was eager to take a look at it for me and attempted to help remedy the situation, and also said he would have his boss provide me with a quote. DuPuis Oil installed my boiler 3 years ago. They sent a technician to clean it upon my request. The…read moretechnician did not do the job correctly. 6 months later (August 12th, 2025) my house filled soot and carbon monoxide. DuPuis send a different technician who said the previous technician did not clean the boiler correctly and he showed me why he said that. He also documented it. DuPuis never billed me for the service on August 12th. On October 27th my boiler didn't start. I called DuPuis and the service manager told me that they won't support my boiler anymore unless I buy their oil. I told them I would find someone else. 3 days later, which was 80 days from the corrective service they did on August 12th, I get a bill. My first bill for this service with net 20 terms. On November 5th they send me a statement that included two months of a late fee, for a bill I didn't even have during that time. The late charges are fraudulent. They did shoddy work on my boiler and after it polluted my house and almost killed me, they want me to pay for them to re-clean and properly adjust my boiler because I wouldn't let them extort me into buying their overpriced oil. On August 12th I would have paid the bill had they presented me an invoice as per usual, but assumed they didn't because their poor work necessitated the August 12 service call. If they were going to bill me with terms of Net 20 for the work they did on August 12th, they should have billed me on August 12th, not 80 days afterwords because I refused to be extorted. For them to charge me late fees for two months I wasn't billed is criminal. They should be audited to see what other unethical business practices they employ.

The phone was answered by the third ring by a man who obviously was multitasking like crazy! Turns out the phone was answered by Alex himself while he was in the middle of doing another job!! He was straightforward, telling me he is extremely busy but could come 6/1/22 between 8-10:00AM, just 10 days away. I said ok. He came right on time June 1st, texting me before he left with his ETA. I expected him to come, look and then tell me what was wrong setting up some time off in the far future to come back and repair. Nope. He said he carries lots of parts in his truck and usually can fix units right then and there. Let me say he is a smart & driven young man. I learned more about AC units from him in the short time he was here than from any other AC person. He is really big into educating you about your system which I totally appreciated . He told me maintenance is a big thing, suggesting that an occasional rinsing of the fins with a hose helps the unit run more efficiently. In the end he replaced my thermostat, cleaned the unit & added a hard start to the compressor all for less than $400.00. He did say that my unit is nearing the end of its life span, but said see how it runs this summer and if it's ok no hurry to replace. He is a respectful honest person who's not there to take advantage of you. He's really big into education & maintenance. It's obvious he really enjoys what he does. I highly recommend him!
