We made the decision to replace the central air unit and had Valley come out and give us a quote on the work. Their quote was very competitive and we wanted to have them replace our unit based upon the excellent service we had received in the past. Our job took two days to complete and the work crew sent out to our house was excellent. They laid down tarps to protect our floors from any debris (we had all of our duct work replaced). In addition we have a small dog who was very curious about their work and really thought they came to visit with her - they were very nice to her and gave her attention. The crew worked very efficiently and answered any of our questions and review details with us along the way. Our new WIFI thermostat had not come in so they installed a digital thermometer and then came back and replaced it with the WIFI unit as soon as it came in. They made the experience pleasurable and we would highly recommend them for both installation and service. It's a pleasure to do business with Valley!

I called R.B.Queern to come out to my house to tune-up my central AC system. My experience with…read morethem was both positive and negative. The PROS: The technicians were professional and friendly. During the 2 hours they worked, they were efficient and did not waste time. Because they charge by the hour ($165 per hour), this is important. The techs found an error in how the AC unit was installed, and they were able to fix it that day. Their fix prevented a big problem of water leaking into my ceiling. Also, when I reviewed the work order, I do not think I was over-charged for the parts they needed to fix my unit; the prices I was charged for the PVC parts seemed reasonable. The CONS: I was never told when I booked the appointment (as a new client) that they charge the travel time from when the tech leaves the previous job and drives to my house. As a result, I was charged $82.50 (30 min) for the tech to drive to my house from the previous job. This is an excessive charge. I understand that gasoline costs money, but to charge $165 per hour for travel time is too much. If they charged something like $30 per hour for travel time, that would be reasonable, and I would be leaving a 5 star review.

He helped walk us through the RISE process for Weatherizing our home, and was super patient as we dealt with a lengthy delay in processing the 0% financing loan - which in the end, was the most frustrating part of it. Most either weren't familiar with my boiler or couldn't schedule a service call for days. When I called Rob, the owner of R. E. Coogan Heating Inc., he explained that they were busy but promised to stop by that evening to see what he could do. Rob arrived around 7 PM and spent over an hour troubleshooting the problem. Although he couldn't get the boiler running that night, he assured me he would contact the manufacturer the next day and continue looking for a solution. True to his word, he called me the following day with recommendations from the manufacturer and returned that evening to try them. It was clear that he was doing everything possible to repair the boiler and save us the expense of a replacement. Unfortunately, the boiler could not be repaired because the required parts were no longer available from the manufacturer. After exhausting every reasonable option to restore it, Rob helped us move forward with a replacement as quickly as possible. After four days without hot water, I expected we would have to wait at least another week for a new installation. Rob initially estimated that the work could begin Friday and be completed by Monday. However, he called on Wednesday to let me know he had rearranged his schedule and hoped to start earlier. At 3 PM on Thursday, Rob arrived with Henry and Nick to begin removing the old boiler. He then brought in additional crew members the next day and worked hard to complete the installation as quickly as possible. As promised, our new boiler was installed and our hot water was restored by Friday evening. What impressed me most was Rob's commitment to helping us. He went out of his way to accommodate our family, worked tirelessly to find the most cost-effective solution, and followed through on every promise he made. This past summer, we noticed a very bad smell in the house when the AC was running. We hadn't had our annual cleaning yet. We called them to see if we could book that, but once we describe the smell, they came out right away as they suspected the smell was mold. And, they were correct. We ended up having to replace our entire system; it was 15 years old. It was a very hot week and it was going to take several days before they could get the new system in and install it. They offered to loan us a wall unit while we waited for installation, but our windows couldn't support the weight. So what did they do? They went out and bought a portable floor unit just to lend to us! I was beyond touched that they were willing to do this for us. That was way above and beyond. First off the person who came was very friendly and professionally. Was done with the job but the he said the boss wanted more testing done even though he knew what was wrong. That cost me more money. Got the bill and nothing was itemized. I was a little out off buy that but let it go. Then the next day they send a different person without the part and wanted me to pay for the job like it was new. He looked at the part and went off t get it. I canceled service. The right way to do this is the person who first came should have ordered the part and whoever was going to finish should have picked up the part so u pay for the install not for someone to start the job from scratch.
