Do not use this company as your insurance agent. I have lost thousands of dollars over the past 6 years and didn't realize it. As new homeowners, you would expect your agent to look out for you and get you the best deal. Not with this agency. Their lack of communication is astounding. I was kicked off of an insurance policy because of their lack of communication with the insurance company. I had knob and tube wiring when asked to have it removed we did it immediately. We sent over a letter certifying that it was removed with an electrician's license number. Lemire never forwarded this information on time and it resulted in us being kicked off. After switching my car auto with a different insurance agency company I found out Lemire still had under our policy that we still have knob and tube. This isn't even half of it. We are in a flood zone due to our home having a small stream behind it. Lemire got us a flood insurance policy costing us 4,000/year. We, as new homeowners didn't know flood was a competitive market. After finding this out I started looking into quotes myself. This is when I realized that Lemire for 6 years has been putting down that our home was not our primary address causing us to be surcharged 250/year. After looking into flood quotes myself I was able to get quoted 1,000/yr for flood without any discounts added yet. One of my friends said people on the cape do not even pay 4,000/yr in flood. Why on earth would an insurance agency go for such a ridiculous flood insurance policy amount? I'll tell you why. Commission. They care about no one but themselves. I was working with Meredith with getting the surcharges back for previous years and she went MIA with her away message just saying "she was out of the office". I started CCing Jim and he responded with the snarkiest reply stating they informed us she was on maternity leave and to stop emailing her. All I wanted was an update as it was 1 month after I heard anything. Jim was all but professional. This man does not care about his client's bottom line. Maybe it was my fault as a naïve first-time buyer. But you hire these people to have your best interest and they are far from it. After overpaying 5,000/yr in insurance cost a year I can finally say as of October 2021 I will be done with this company. (because you cant switch flood mid-year!) read more
