Eat here. Sit here. Enjoy it. I'm not from here but going to this cafe made me feel included. This place was the epitome of a local cafe. This place was why I got yelp. The owner was the loveliest person I've seen in a while, someone who listens to others knows all the locals and just seems to care. You feel the amount of love people have towards this place. And the food... was so amazing. Everything about this place was perfect and I'm not sure when I'll ever go to another cafe like it. I can't wait to visit this place again.

The service was excellent and small town vibes. Loved the scone and cinnamon roll. Coffee was delicious as well. They had various classic coffee and seasonal flavors to pick from. Including smoothies, bagel sandwiches, and breakfast burritos.

    A warm, AMAZING, historic space!

Actual REAL espresso from an ACTUAL calibrated espresso machine does NOT exist in the Sierras, but it exists here AMAZINGLY!!! I asked, and the owner ships in Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting(since 1978) beans WEEKLY...DAMN IMPRESSIVE. The pastries are TRULY SF/Berkeley quality, and the owner says she taught herself how to bake. She just had her FIVE year business anniversary in the VERY quiet downtown of Angels Camp! It's an IMPRESSIVE place run by an impressive lady. Do NOT expect Starbucks sugar drinks, low quality bitter espresso, or Starbucks super speedy service; this is a European-style coffee shop...with a soul and a little slower service. DUH.

What a nice little cafe stop while heading towards Calaveras Big Trees State Park. I was initially drawn to this place by all of the scone photos. Scone flavors are on rotation and I ended up having the cranberry orange scone (flavor was recommended by the lady at the counter as I was too indecisive lol). Pretty decent scone. Fruit taste wasn't too overbearing. Fairly tender. Kinda wished that the scone was heated even just lightly though as it was quite cold. I also had a small hot mocha. I liked that the mocha didn't have an overwhelming amount of milk like most of the mochas that I've had. Good taste blend of coffee & chocolate. Cool mug that it was served in. A little too lukewarm for my liking temperature-wise though. Friendly staff here. Overall 4-ish stars rounded up. Recommend checking this spot out if you're looking for some cozy cafe vibes in the area!

Pastries are plate-licking good! Coffee is on point. All the locals come here for their coffee Nice place to sit down and enjoy a cuppa.

This literally looked like a little cafe out of a movie set! So cute and staff looked genuinely engaged with all the customers. I got an iced honey latte and it was so delicious. Not too sweet which is great in my books

Iced chai made with oat milk

Stopped in today and decor was cute and it had a nice vibe for a coffee house. I ordered an iced chai tea made with oat milk and some avocado toast. $12.75 for both, which to me seems pretty reasonable. The avocado on the bread was substantial! Usually it's barely anything and I also appreciated the gal asking me if I would like anything else on my toast such as tomato, or sprouts (I assume for no extra cost) which is nice! I noticed they hand whisked the chai spices together before adding to the drink... everything looked very clean and the wait time was only about 7 mins which wasn't too bad. They had 4 other people in the building who had just placed an order as well... I will definitely make this a go-to spot from now on! The only drawback is parking is a little tricky sometimes since it's on the Main Street through downtown Angels Camp - you have to parallel park or park in the city parking across the street... *if you are vegan / strict vegetarian, this place is great because most their food said "vegan" or could be made vegan.... I'm vegetarian and always appreciate finding a place that notes this and has more than just one option.

Stopped in Angels Camp and was delighted to see this darling cafe right downtown! Seems like this is a popular spot- there was a line to the door when we arrived but it moved quickly (and gave us time to decide what pastries to get!). Super funky ambiance- lots of vintage decor and a few tables inside, along with trinkets for sale. Definitely a wide variety of baked goods to choose from, we went for the scones! The orange cranberry was delicious, although we wished the blackberry ginger had a stronger ginger flavor. We ordered iced lattes, and they had a good amount of syrups to choose from. I'm so sad this cafe isn't closer to where I live, otherwise I'd be here all the time!

Even though it was late on a Tuesday the patio was still busy. We got a nice table outside because it was a beautiful day and we had our GSD with us. Shared the beet salad and the chicken burrito and also a kids hamburger with fries for the pup ( fries were for us). PROTIP: We took the option to split each dish by the kitchen and although it cost a couple bucks more, you get a little more of everything! Beet salad was solid with perfect allocations of all ingredients. I would say it was a bit heavy on the dressing but I like minimal dressing and my partner said it was perfect so there you go. The burrito was "wet" and delicious! Lots of flavor fresh ingredients and very saucy. Only thing it lacked was a little heat. Ask for tapatio if you like a little spice. The hamburger by the way, was larger than a normal hamburger you get on the kiddie menu. And the fries were piping hot and fresh. Our dog loved the burger as he should and we downed all the fries. Highly recommend and will be back!

The staff is great about checking in as they're cleaning the tables nearby. Their Blue Cran Apple salad is the best around - loaded with sooo many toppings. I almost wish the portion stayed the same (huge) but in a bigger bowl so it's easier to toss. I may ask about that next time. Always get the side of bread, too! My mom got the veggie sandwich and pesto Mac as part of their $11 1/2 sandwich and a side deal. They have 5-6 different sides to choose from - fruit, Mac salad, salad salad, and more - and a wide range of tri tip, turkey, chicken, and veggie sandwiches plus other delicious cafe-fare. I've never had a bad choice here. After lunch, my mom insisted that we needed dessert. She had a hard time choosing just one, but went with the turtle cheesecake. If they had bread pudding this visit, that would have been my number one choice! Nothing compares to their bread pudding! But the turtle cheesecake was great, not overly sweet and the caramel was delicious. They also have a unique craft soda and drink selection. I'm a huge fan of craft root beer and love trying different ones! You really can't go wrong here. My only complaint is that while sitting on the porch is lovely, there usually seems to be bees buzzing around the side closest to the corner bar. I haven't sat on the other side of the porch, we usually just power through it, but have seen others move away from those tables as a result.

Their self-checkout has issues more often than not. And the people who are supposed to be monitoring the self-checkout are either not present or can't figure out how to make a checkout work. I rarely shop at this store anymore. The last time I shopped there the self-checkout froze on me and they attendant told me they would be back in a few minutes. That was several months ago. I have not shopped from that event until today. I encountered the same exact problem. If so check out froze up. I turned around and look at the attendant. She gave me a thumbs up. I attempted to keep scanning items and it was still for us up. I turned around to get the attendance attention. She was gone. My suggestion if you live in the area.
