I was working in Angels Camp during the storm and looked up this place on Yelp. I wanted a good breakfast. One like I'm used to on Sunday mornings after church with my Boyfriend. I was not at home and couldn't be home so chicken fried steak it is! I called and the phone rang and rang. I not knowing this place took the orders of my coworkers that we're also in town. Drive downtown and walked in to place our order. The cook wasn't happy being time change day. And most of us ordered speciality items. I felt bad but darn it wanted that chicken fried steak. Worse experience I've had. This is my first time visiting. Walking in no "welcome" or "will be right with you" after 15 mins of standing there. Just completely ignored. He wanted us to sit on a 4 chairs table and we told him we insist sitting the 2 chair table. We left the other table for a bigger family to sit which was the one behind us. It's a small place. So we wait for our server patiently. The one who sat us down. Then he just starts bringing the other table drinks and order and just completely ignored us. Really can't say anything about their food or service or anything else because we didn't get to experience anything, but they should change the hours posted on their sign. It says they're open until 2 and we drove here from Mokelumne Hill, arriving at 1:00 to find them closed already. Went for breakfast. Veggie omelet was fresh veggies and fluffy eggs. I just wish it had cheese melted inside instead of a little amount melted on top. Service was fine. Clean. bathroom was right by the kitchen and very awkward to use:( I would go back and ask for the cheese. it looks really great if you are a meat eater. For Being Super Busy today, we had good service. As I write this review. They are the only Breakfast place down town. We were told it might take a bit to get our food as we were seated . That was fine for us . Hubby and Son watched Football and drank coffee . We really liked their photos on the walls of Yosemite. Our food was piping hot and tasty ! Son ordered Loaded French Toast. Hubby had Corned Beef Hash. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with Country Gravy . We all really enjoyed our meals . I loved this place! Went to Calaveras county over the long weekend for some hiking among the Big Trees and since we were late to the show, we could only find accomodations in Angels Camp. Fair. Woprked out great cuz we headed to like the only place listed for breakfast in the area - Angels Creek Restaurant! Seems like a 2 man show - cook in the back, and dude in the front taking orders, clearing tables, and accomodating whoever comes in. Moving customers to different tables to accomodate others walking in - perfectly fine if you haven't started eating yet (qand we hadn't.) Made it feel more like family. And though they didn't have the orned beef hash either day (bummer!) we thoroughly enjoyed their biscuits and gravy, omelettes, COFFEE, waffles, and everything in between. Coffee refills were quick to come and the man was ON TOP OF EVERYTHING! I wish this place was closer to home, I'd love to give him our business every weekend. You should come here for yummy breakfast and lower key area than Murphys and north. This place was great! YUM! My mouth is watering rn for breakfast at 6pm on a Friday. Visited recently for a quick breakfast and was really pleased with the food and service. I had a custom order of eggs, hashbrowns, and a side of biscuit with sausage gravy. Everything was perfectly cooked and so tasty! We also tried the pancake with sausage and bacon, all very good. Coffee was a little on the light side, but the food the star. We won't go back. The the miners omelette, which has bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, bell peppers, and onions. Unfortunately, there was no cheese inside the omelette, and not much meat. They barely sprinkled some cheese on the outside, which is not how you make an omelette. I know. I make amazing omelettes! The other thing was, that the bell peppers were raw, not sautéed first like everybody else does. The hashbrowns were not crispy. Extremely disappointed in the service I received this Sunday morning. I came to take my grandmother out for her birthday . Kayla was our server. First red flag she was very rude in her response when my 9 year old daughter asked if they had straws. when she returned, she said that they were completely out of straws. when my food came, I still had not got coffee that I ordered from her twice. I had also asked her for extra plate when I ordered because me and my grandmother were splitting what we ordered. That also did not come. When I asked her for it for the third time she snapped at me and said she brought the extra plate with the eggs on it. Mind you this is maybe a 5 inch plate that was completely consumed by the eggs. I guess she wanted me to put on my food on that plate and eat off of it? The biscuits and gravy were cold and asked to have them heated up by the time that came back. We still hadn't got our toast. I told her I know she was busy and if our toast was coming, her response was "What toast"? I told her she was the one that took my order and asked us what kind of toast we wanted. She got extremely argumentative with me and responded with. She was a little busy at the moment. She is going to get it when she could because I was asking her for 1 million things. It's very upsetting to be treated this way when I was only asking for what we ordered that she FORGOT several times . I had let a lot of time go by to wait to ask again. It seems like she forgot, almost everything we ordered and was mad at me because I had asked for it. Ridiculous. I was in shock. And she didn't seem to be treating anybody else this way. The restaurant is very small, only six tables . I completely understand that servers get busy and I always take that into mind before asking for something especially if I can clearly see that someone is busy. But getting treated like absolute trash as a paying customer because of their own mistakes is just beyond me! Her behavior was out of line. The complaint could have been longer there was a lot more unacceptable behavior from this young lady representing the establishment. The food was just fine. 7/10 I seen she over charged me. Smh it was not even worth the argument for me that I knew would be coming because again a mistake she made. I paid the full amount. I gave her a $15 tip on a $53 tab and hoped it would change her attitude towards people . But I will never return to eat here . read more

Therefore the wait is longer than you are accustomed to at bigger restaurants. Tried another cute cafe for brunch today, and was overall content with everything. Service was pretty good and the hostess was very sweet and attentive. You don't need to wear a mask and can sit comfortably inside as well. Reviewing the meal, the vegetarian omelette tasted pretty good but could've used a little more stuffing. However, the hash browns were good. The chicken-fried steak with biscuits and gravy was decent, and the French dip sandwich was fine (served with mediocre potato salad). The loaded french toast I personally ordered was probably the prettiest and tastiest thing served out of everything. Only complaint would be about the choices of tea; they only serve three kinds of black tea, so the choices were disappointing there. Nevertheless, everyone was well-fed and satisfied. I was recommended to come here with my husband by our timeshare staff. We came with high expectations and unfortunately were let down. As we arrived there were a few tables available. The one waiter gave us two menus that looked like they were not wiped down. It had grease all over it. Then we started seeing all the flies that were trying to attack our coffee then food. It was really difficult to eat in peace with all these pests flying around us trying to catch a bite. It made feel us gross & disgusted because then you start wondering what does the kitchen look like? Are flies there too?
