I took my mother and my aunt here as a late mothers day gift because both of them are very hard working woman and I felt they deserved it. I chose the deep tissue oil massage for an hour, which is $48 each for them. Pros: Both my mom and aunt said they had a good time and the massage was well done Con: I felt the customer service was rude. I walked into the spa at 2:55 and my mom and aunt were escorted into the massage rooms. As soon as I paid, the woman at the desk immediately told me my mom would have to pay the tip to the women massaging them. I instantly thought "ummm how do I know they'll even get a satisfying massage" but i didnt think anything of it. My mom called me at 3:50 to tell me she had a good time. They basically had a 50 minute massage because by the time they changed and everything it was passed 3. I was upset because my mom and aunt deserved to enjoy the full hour. When I called to let them know they were very rude and basically were yelling at me. Honestly, even though the massage was good the customer service was terrible and I won't be coming back here or bringing them back. DO. NOT. GET. A. FACIAL. HERE. I decided to treat my friend and I to facials at this spa, which was the worst mistake of my life (no exaggeration). Mind you, I work at a luxury spa in fashion island and have had estheticians perform superb facials on me. I decided to give this place a try. The esthetician I had was doing great in the beginning until the extraction process began. This spa uses diabetes LANCETS to extract blackheads and whiteheads which is ILLEGAL in the state of California. As my face was bleeding, my esthetician continued to scrape over it with the blackhead removing tool and ended up scarring my face (which was almost 100% clear prior to having this facial). I now have scars on 4-5 different areas on my face that did not exist prior (I will try to take photos and insert them). Please do not go to this spa if you want to protect the quality of your face. My friend had a similar experience and these people need to be shut down for illegal practices. My friend and I saw the diabetes lancets on the shelf and felt ourselves being stabbed and pricked on our faces with those needles. I plan on calling the state board about this facility and having the service of facials revoked from their menu. read more

I tried Lemon tree Spa for the first time yesterday. I had the Deep tissue massage in one of their rooms. The massage itself was good. Maggie, my masseuse, was very friendly. They even offer tea after the service. Plus the environment is clean. However, I did not appreciate the noise level that the other staff were making outside our little room. I could hear people laughing and chatting on top of the serene music background! I could hear staff walking back and forth outside our room. I could hear machines turning off and on, and whatever else sound machines make. This was the unpleasant part of the massage experience. The noise made the place less serene. read more

The staff was friendly and the price can't be beat. But the actual massage was meh. This was my first shiatsu massage so I don't have any to compare it to except for other types of massages(I.e. thai, deep tissue, hot stones). For the body, there were few strokes of the hand for the neck and arms. But for the back, it was all elbows and forearms with a lot of pressure. I don't know if I got a bad massage or if I don' t like type of massage. I'm on the fence with one. read more

Came on a Wednesday to have the package (Facial + oil massage) done. The owner (a lady) started the facial first but she was probably short-staffed that day and kept calling staff to come in to the store and picking up phone calls while she was working on my face. She kept coming in and out and stopping here and there I just didn't felt like I could really relax during the entire experience. I thought the facial was just ok because it just the usual with no surprises. I was expecting some upper shoulder/face massages or a eyebrow trim but none of that happened. I had better facials where all of those are included in the facial service and it cost less. Facial was a 2-star. The body oil massage I had after the facial felt like heaven compared to the mediocre facial. The therapist was excellent and the level of pressure she used was perfect. I felt very peaceful and relaxed and even fell asleep a few times during the session. I give that experience a 5-star. Average experience at Lemon Tree Spa: 3-star. Recommendation: Get facial elsewhere, maybe a Korean salon or something. Do get the oil body massage here. read more

I have been going here for years. I love the fact that they are really inexpensive. The massages are fabulous and worth every penny. I usually get the hour massage/foot rub for the hour and you keep your clothes on. It is on special price for 20.00 until Nov., then it goes up to the regular price of 30.00. It may not be quiet because the therapists like to talk in CHINESE amongst themselves a little, but that doesn't bother me because the massage is so damn good. They do have a deep tissue massage with oil where you take your clothes off. Not the feeling of much privacy since a curtain separates you from the main hall. But that doesn't bother me either because...#1 the price and again the massage is too damn good to pass up. I am a massage junkie and believe me a little enviornmental noise will not deter me from a fabu rub. You won't miss your money after their done. read more

Jenny is amazing! She really takes the time to address my areas of concern and pain. She is in constant communication making sure you are happy with her work. She is also knowledgeable and understands the anatomy of the body. This has been a plus since I had neck pain and she suggested a variety of treatments to stretch and relieve my neck. Heard of this cute little spa from friends and how a foot massage was $20 for an hour, I had to check it out for myself. Walked in with one of my girlfriends and they got on the phone right away to get another masseuse to accommodate us. Within 10 minutes we were seated with our feet soaking. My massage was one of the best massages I've ever had with the perfect amount of pressure. She literally touched every part of my body from head to toe front to back. Not to mention the sofa chair I was in was so comfy! After we were giving a yummy warm tea and a bill that was $20 I couldn't believe I've never been there before. This place looks initially promising so I tried their foot massage but I left disappointed. I've been around to know what's the 'real thing' is. Got the guy who looked like a seasoned pro, but I was mistaken. His pressure point skills were off, or nonexistent--seemed like he was just going through the pressing motions; same even with the back/leg/head massage, such a let-down; It felt weird it also included the armpit area! My friend who was booked with the other masseuse felt unsatisfied about hers as well. For small shops like these, I usually give good tips for individual services, especially when they give a worthy effort, but alas. Be prepared for the awkward moment when the ubiquitous attendant stands closely for his 'required' tip (as so prominently posted) when you pay the cashier. DO NOT COME HERE !! We initially went in for a 1 hr-$20 foot massage but since they didn't have time he offered a 45 min for $18. We agreed. He started the massage around 7:52pm and ended it at 8:30pm (only 38 min) since he had an apt coming. So despite the 45 min being cut short he argued that it was 45min. Whatever. We paid. But only tipped him $2. I tipped my lady $6 because I got the full hour. So, as my friend paid the lady that took our money ran into the room to let the man know that he was only tipped $2 and he came out and demanded a $5 min !! I said of course, we're tipping her $6... I'm guessing he misunderstood and thought that I said he would get his tip because he went back into the room with his customer. And as we're leaving I see this man following us to our car ! This man is upset because we didn't tip for his poor service and I explained that the sign says $5 minimum tip for $20 massage but she didn't get the 1 hr/$20 min massage. And besides, tips are optional! So he told us never to come back! Keep in mind that I had tipped my lady $6 (30% of my service) because she was actually good! But he was so focused on finishing and getting to his next apt that he did a poor and rushed job. I still cannot believe he followed us to the car!!! Did I mention I'm 8 1/2 month pregnant? My husband and I have been coming here for years. You can never go wrong with $20 foot massages with extra head and back massages. It's a hit or miss though, depending on who you get as a masseuse. Sometimes their massages are really hard but sometimes they're on point. We notice they use their elbows a lot but then again, it's deep tissue massage. Overall, we enjoy coming here and always look forward to the after massage tea! They are all so friendly too so it makes is easy to come back! Don't have time and money for a full body, luxurious massage. What I do need is body maintenance for working 12-hour shifts, on my feet, pulling and holding up patients. I went in only to get an hour foot massage, only to be surprised by starting from the head to toes...this was a heavenly surprise to my aching body. This was the absolute worse facial that I've received in my entire experience of getting facials. I didn't catch the lady's name that did the facial but she also serves as the receptionist. She left a total of four times during my facial and each time she left she was gone for like five minutes. So I spent twenty minutes just laying there waiting for her to come back. The head shoulders and neck massage was laughable at best. It was just like putting lotion on in the morning and then she left only to come back and rinse everything off and tell me that I was done. I decided to come here, because the prices were reasonable and I was in need of a facial but couldn't shell out $180. Its small and clean. As my facial started, everything was done properly, cleansing of my face, opening my pores etc. The women was extraction my blackheads, and decide to answer the phone in the middle of my facial. Not only did she stay on the phone for the remaining of my facial, as she was speaking she was spitting all over my face, and touching my face while touching the phone all at the same time. This is extremely unprofessional. It's really common sense of the do's and don'ts while performing a facial. After all of that she ended my facial about 15 minutes early. I decide not to say a word, gave her a low tip, and posted my experience, I don't recommend this facility and wont go back. read more

This was my first time and the experience was horrible. There were patrons who just completed their massages and decided to stick around and were extremely loud. We are in the room where it's supposed to be quiet and the owner was equally loud. On top of that, when I mentioned to the staff about the noise, they told me it's supposed to be quiet and giggled. I love coming here for the oil massage and the foot massage. The prices here are very reasonable. The foot massage is only $20 for one hour and the oil massage is $48 for one hour. The massages here are of good quality. At first I used to get the foot massage once a week but now I get the oil massage to help with my back pain. The interior is clean and cozy and it smells good. I love that they give you hot winter lemon tea after your massage as a refreshment. The service here is good. I am assisted right away and the wait time is limited when I make an appointment. The pressure for the massage is perfect and they can change the amount of pressure for the massage if you request. Every time I leave after my massage I just feel so refreshed. I have tried other fancier places that offer massages and they just overcharge and the quality of service is not as good. This place is definitely a must try. Overall, spacious and clean inside, good customer service, good prices, and short wait time. I will definitely continue coming here for my massages! read more

Sometimes the little hole in the wall spots avail great service at a very reasonable rate, so I went inside without hesitation in hopes of a great outcome! Walking in, I was greeted by Maggie (sweet lady). I sat down rolled up my jeans and got ready for the first part of the combo treatment. The gentleman that was working on me had the worst case of sweaty hands ever.. eweeeeee!! It's going downhill from here folks!! About 10 minutes into the treatment this man was pressing so hard on my skull, I had to tell him to STOP! I don't know if that was the cause of my headache or it was the fact that I was totally uncomfortable with his sweaty hands or it was the annoyingly loud conversation that went on between 3 employees the ENTIRE time I was there or the weird food smell that was coming out of the back room! Perfection is not necessarily expected when you are paying $35 for an hour treatment but this was ridiculous!
