Went in for a $40 pedicure. It came out with the $50 tab. They asked me twice. BEFORE AND DURING SERVICES!! They asked "What kind of service what I like." And I said the $40 one twice. And when it comes to pay they added $10 more. Look at the regulars reviews. Shows that they are doing this more often than usual! Got scammed in the end. Super disappointing! Hope this helps you! I requested an appointment and 1 hr before i called to move my appointment up to right then. They were so helpful and accommodating. I didnt know anyone specific but asked the guy at the front desk if he could recommend their best Gel X person because I thought I was getting engaged soon. He suggested Hannah! I don't live in OC anymore but I love this nail salon. I go whenever I'm visiting home. I go to Vivian for my gel builder manicures and she does great with my shape. I'm very picky about the shape and I rarely have to tell her to fix anything. I usually get almond shape nails. She often checks in with me to see if I like her work, which I appreciate. read more

As a guy finding a nail place that makes you feel comfortable is always a challenge but VIP Nails & Spa does an amazing job. The environment is so nice. Everyone is polite and patient as i try explain what i want and they are honest if they think something wont look good. This was my first time visiting this nail salon, and I was very disappointed. The manicure service was supposed to include a hand massage, but I never received one. The staff spent most of the appointment talking instead of focusing on the service. The quality of the work was poor, and the overall service was terrible. I definitely won't be coming back. It felt like I paid for services that I didn't receive. I would not recommend this salon. It felt like a rip-off. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I only wanted a soak off and pedicure. I left with a new acrylic overlay. I can't believe I paid 130 for this. The nails are so thick poorly filed and I'm not happy. This is why I stopped coming here. Don't force people to get more services. I can't even be left alone for a soak off. They drill and soak and drill and soak. That's so bad. Ive been growing my nails out for months and they just damaged them this way!!! Let the nails soak for 15min at least than use a tool to gently scrap the acrylic off. Stop using the drill. read more

Customer service when making appointment is lacking. Made my appointment to see my regular girl, was told to come in at 1. Showed up and was told she's not available all day, you will have to wait until someone is available. Then what's the point of making reservations with the person you want. They could have stated that when the appointment was made so I can decide if I still wanted to go. Been going to this place for the last 4-5 years. Liked the service my tech provides but this was not okay. The customer should be given the decision if they want to see a different tech, not the shop just so they can keep your money. I left and went to the new shop down the street. If I'm just going to get any tech, there's no difference trying a new shop. read more

First time to visit this place, little farther in our place however very friendly staffs and boy they are good. Mom had difficulty of finding a good pedicurist due of her ingrown and Mindy did it! I needed a pedicure badly My old gel polish looked liked they were about to be nail tips. I called in the morning and the receptionist told me to come right in. Right when I walked in, I was welcomed and seated right away. Kim did excellent and listened to everything I wanted and needed. I came in June 10th to get a full set with design. It was my first time there. Before my interactions with the nail technician. I didn't expect for the shop to be as dirty as it was because it is marketed on Yelp as "luxurious." The person that did my nails was Jenny. I don't know how I feel about her since she was criticizing my nail color choice. Originally I wanted a black set. When I told her I wanted black, she kept on insisting that I get white. Then I settled on this baby pink color. I wish I had the original inspiration photo from Pinterest saved. She messed up the marble, ombré, and shape. The marble was supposed to be encapsulated, not drawn on. The ombré in the inspirational photo was smooth, not bubbly as seen in the photo. Lastly, I wanted square not coffin. She charged me $100 for this set and I gave her an extra $10 tip. To my dismay, the acrylic wasn't applied properly. I've noticed some bubbles. The fresh set did not last at all. It is 2 weeks now and more nails are starting to lift. The first nail lifted off before the two weeks mark. Overpriced and disappointing quality. I am sticking to my usual salon that is actually clean and does high quality work. read more

Called on a Friday early afternoon to book a gel pedicure. I've never been here but it had good reviews. Lady who answered said they could take me right away. I told her I would be there in 5 minutes. It took my 3 minutes to get there and when I walked in every pedicure chair was full. She said it would be a 10 minute wait. I told her that I had just spoke with her on the phone. She said several people walked in while I was driving. LIES!!! She just wanted to get me in. I waited about the 10 minutes and then a chair opened. My pedicurist was great! My toes turned out perfect. Pros: My service was great and my toes look awesome. $35 gel pedicure Cons: Manager lady lied on phone. Place is a bit dirty inside, but so are most nail salons. Pro/Con: They put this packet of stuff that turns the water into this jelly stuff. Not sure how I felt about it. It was very thick which had me questioning what happens to it when they wash it down the drain? Hmm...I think this should've been an option as I think I would prefer to warm water. This is my 3rd time here and honestly I can say this is my favorite nail salon by far. The first set i got here were the nails i got engaged in so this place will always have a place in my heart hehe Trisha is truly such an amazing artist! She gets you in and out quick and the outcome is always so amazing compared to other salons that would take twice the time and leave you disappointed. With so many nail places around... no need to ever come back here. My daughter picks her nails so as a reward for not picking them, I said I would take her to get her nails done at a salon. What a horrible experience for her. I paid the full price of a complete manicure but they did not do much. They slapped on some nail polish and put some stickers on them (yelling the whole time about how small her nails are and that none of the stickers would fit). I could have done a much better job at home (and I have). Not the experience I was hoping for my daughter's first nail salon visit. Boo. read more

This is my new spot for my nails! I went to 3 other places prior to this and never really got what I wanted in terms of the shape of the French tip. I had Vivian as my tech and she took 2 hours to do French manicure with builder gel and chrome on top. It took awhile but came out perfect! They charge for using a card and venmo/zelle. But they have an ATM inside that has a low transaction fee so I went that route. Total came out to be $72 (including a 10% discount from social media) and then I tipped Vivian $20 read more

Came here last Tuesday morning.Idky my technician was in a rush when it was just one other person in. As she was taking out my napkin, she messed up and did this. I know she saw it but pretended to not see it. Then she was "done" and left me in the chair for 20 minute without checking up on me. As I got up, she rushed over and I told her I didn't like what she did and if she can fix it. I was waiting for her to come back to check up on me but she never did. She said to me "I didn't do that, you did. You moved. You touched it" nah lady, you did. I know you saw but you were lazy asf to fix it. How the heck you going to argue with me? Just fix the damn paint. She fixed it with an attitude and left the store. Why would you leave before me? Don't you want your tip that you don't deserve? I stilled tipped $5 and I usually do $8 on a basic pedicure. So damn rude and lazy. read more

Came in without an appointment/ as a walk in. I was in desperate need of a pedicure! It had been months since I've had one. They were busy and had one pedicure chair left open. I got lucky! Yay. I don't remember the ladies name that did my pedicure. She was alright. Pretty basic pedicure. I did the regular one with callous removal. I don't like all the scrubs and extra crap on my legs. I just want my feet looking good. The lady hurt my big toe and cut in too much. It happens. Not a huge deal. I did black gel for my pedicure. Hopefully it lasts awhile. Overall, decent pedicure. The person I had was wonderful. I forgot her name unfortunately. Sometimes I go to nail shops and they make a big deal about me being allergic to latex. At this point I don't know why they don't keep nitrile gloves. Some techs do and some don't. Another tech gave mine some nitrile gloves so that we could continue. She took her time and really gave quality top tier service. I've had places sneak on the latex when I'm not looking as if I wouldn't feel my skin start to get irritated. I will definitely be back here soon. They even text deals occasionally providing that extra touch of great customer service. read more

Honestly, this is the worst gel x set of nails I have ever gotten in my life. They didn't trim/cut my cuticles, and I kept asking them to fix the shape to less square and it was getting nowhere and none matched. And they charge extra 10 for French tip design and another 10 for the chrome glitter on top. Because it was busy the girl who did mine did everything super rushed. Like she didn't care, the bottom of the nails are atrocious some don't even match and I got a simple French tip! Never ever coming here again or recommending cuz 155 for this mess? No thanks. This has become my go to spot I love it here! They have my name and number saved. I am sold with the feeling of the jelly in the foot bath it elevates the experience. My nails have always been satisfying I've never been disappointed. There has been a time where I was unable to get a babysitter for my 10 month old and the ladies were so helpful and sweet with my baby boy. Haven't gotten my nails done in 9 months so I decided to finally get them done. After reading reviews, I decided to try VIP nails. I called to book an appointment, you can book one online as well. I was 15 minutes early to my appointment and they took me in right when I got there. I had Kathy and Rose, they were great and super friendly! When my toe got smudged when my sandal was put on, Kathy right away fixed the polish and I didn't even have to ask. Overall great experience and will definitely be coming back! :) read more

The nail technician I had was completely rude and needs to work on her customer service skills. I went over the design and colors I wanted multiple times before we started and made sure to get pricing on everything before we started, and even showed her a picture example of what I wanted. Close to the end of finishing up my nails she tells me she's going to charge me $15 more for the simple flowers I wanted, which I thought we agreed upon before starting which is why I wanted pricing in the beginning. She kept saying we didn't agree upon that from the beginning and I explained to her yes we did, that's why I showed you a picture and I wanted pricing from the beginning. I could tell she was trying to take advantage... so rediculous. I explained to her this is what I thought we agreed upon and she kept saying no it wasn't ... she kept saying she was right and I was wrong. I told her we had a miscommunication then because we both thought different things. I was surprised when she kept telling t me I was wrong as the customer and she was right loll... there goes your tip lady. The way she was talking to me as a customer was so rude and entitled. She was rushing me the whole time too. Having me look through all the colors while she was working on my hands and my hands weren't even free to look through them. It felt very uncomfortable feeling like I had to rush through everything or else she'd get upset. Horrible experience! Will definitely not be returning. Wonderful service!! My boyfriend and I came in after another one of our friends raved about their color changing polish. We got mani pedis and I ended up going with a really neat holographic acrylic nail! For both of us it was like $150 but it was worth it. They are very friendly and thorough and even stayed past closing to make sure it was a great job. They're doing really well keeping Up with the new trends as well. I have no complaints at all! They don't take appointments but was able to walk right in for a pedicure and pink and white fill. Both Tina and Trish did an outstanding job.
