A unique menu and great service. I took my team in for dinner and we had a great time.

Oh........ this restaurant is not worth visiting at this time. Their kitchen needs to polish up their act. This was the worst hamburger I've ever had. It looked like it was plastic, when I cut it in half the inside was smooth. That's not right! And it tasted horrible. Fries were cold. My husband ordered a ribeye that was so paper thin It was just ridiculous to look at and it tasted like leather. The server Lexi was super sweet and kudos to her excellent service. Lastly, We had to exit out the back because there was someone by the front door throwing up (inside the restaurant!!) -- the manager should have escorted this person outside immediately. This was a lunch spot for me while in town because the burgers on the menu sounded good. The place has that hodgepodge feel decorated with barn finds. My server was friendly. We ordered a couple burgers and frys. I ordered the lemonade house burger which is basically a bacon cheeseburger that comes with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato and you put your add ons and build it which I had raw onions, ketchup and Mayo. When my burger came it had no onions so they brought me some raw onions, 1st fail. Then I noticed mustard all in my cheeseburger and they made me another one, 2nd fail. Third time was a charm and they cooked it as pink as they would. The burger was good with fresh hand formed beef that was juicy but it looked kinda small just a bit bigger than a fast food value burger. The toppings were fresh. The frys were hot crisp cooked to order and they brought me a 2nd fresh order because they couldn't make my burger correctly. Overall it was a a good lunch that took 3 attempts to get my burger correct but the food was fresh and I don't understand how they could mess up a burger 2 times and get it right on the 3rd try. We went to Poplar Bluff for a day trip, something to do. I do not like to eat at chains if I can avoid them, so when this restaurant showed up in search it was a welcome sight. We arrived to be promptly, and kindly greeted. Once seated the server brought a fresh, hot pretzel with queso. The menu is large enough to have plenty of choices but small enough so as not to overwhelm. The noise level is average, and the place is clean while we're there. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, hot, and fresh. The meatloaf was really good--a welcome change for me. We stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon on a road trip. Great service. The food was good and came in very large portions. I had the dumpster fries and it was large enough to share. We tried three different lemonades. The sugar free peach Huckleberry Old fashioned lemonade. The sugar free peach was my favorite. It is very very sweet though. The place is decorated really well, but the best thing of all the LEMONADE!! I know shocker, but it truly is! I had the strawberry, pineapple and my husband had the pomegranate and both were excellent! Food is your typical wraps and tacos. We did have "dumpster fries" which was a new take on fries with shrimp, beef and chicken topping. Each one is separated so you can pick which one you like. The food is overall really good and not nearly as greasy as many other restaurants in the area. Burgers are great, lemonade is great, salads are my personal favorite here. They changed the recipe for their sirloin wrap from cubed beef to like steakum style which made us a little sad but everything else is phenomenal. First off, the staff was friendly and nice, and the restaurant was fully compliant with social distancing requirements as tables were placed 6 feet apart. We ordered the Maui Tacos (with fries), the Mushroom & Swiss Burger (with homemade chips), and also a Strawberry Lemonade. Our most enjoyable meal of the whole move. Very nice. I loved the decor and the feel of the place. Staff was very welcoming. I had the island burger and my boyfriend had the Dumas Walker burger. We both thought the burgers were pretty good, very creative and still tasted great. I'm going to have to try to re-create a few of those. What I would go back for (once a week if I could) are the Original Trash Can fries. Those were amazing!! As for the Lemonade itself, I had the Apple Breeze and it was delicious! My daughters and I had a great experience here! We were greatly warmly as soon as we walked in. We got a flight of lemonade which is so fun and my 6 year old loved trying a few different ones. Our server was super friendly and attentive and great about making suggestions and even brought us a pretzel and cheese dip on the house! The food all came out super fast which was a huge plus. The kids chicken tenders were big and super crispy, the house made chips were great--crisp and well seasoned. It was taco Tuesday so I got the Maui tacos. They weren't the best thing ever but still good. I would have gotten a burger if it wasn't Taco Tuesday. A friend took us out for supper there last night. It was his first time at LHG being he's from out of town. It was my first time being in the new location. Personally I liked the decor of their previous location. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. It was ok considering Poplar Bluff isn't known for its selection of restaurants and cuisine. The service wasn't great. No refills on our drinks, check brought before we were finished, guess we weren't supposed to order dessert. Silly me for thinking the side salad should come before the meal instead of everything all at once! The straw that broke the camel's back was the $3.00 fee for using a credit card, as if their pricing isn't already high enough! We won't be back anytime soon! read more

So I will start with the positive! We got the farmers market tacos and they were absolutely delicious. We were disappointed with the portion size. There wasn't much to them but what there was tasted great. However, the service I would give one star. We waited quite a while for a server. When she came, we asked her if there were any vegetarian options other than the tacos and mushroom burger. She seemed unsure and did not offer to ask someone more knowledgeable or find out more. We had waited for a while already so I went ahead and just ordered. And the tacos were great. A different girl brought our food and we did not see a server other than those two times, to order and when our food was dropped. My boyfriends drink sat empty for most of the meal though he had set it on the edge of the table. Many young girls were walking around and chatting but no one ever came close enough to fill our drinks or see if we needed anything else. Finally a girl came and dropped our check. We had no idea who to pay. We had been done for a while and all she said was "Here's your check have a good day." I'm glad we didn't wait around for anyone to come back because after further investigation, we found out that you pay elsewhere than at your table. The food was delicious and I'm sure we will come back but your servers could really use better training. Or at least, try to care about taking care of customers. read more
