    Enchilada pollo!
    Claire L.

After traveling around Europe for months and craving Mexican food for awhile, this place really hit the spot. I've had Mexican food a few other places while traveling and this was the best I've had by far. Although it was not as good as some Mexican food at home, it was MUCH better than the average mazatlan chain we have in Seattle. My boyfriend ordered the chili and it was delicious! It was very flavorful and a big portion. Definitely recommend getting that if you go here. I had the enchilada pollo which was pretty good as well. Again, a huge portion. The enchilada was different from what I'm used to, it had corn in it and some onions as well. Different, but still tasty! Did not come with rice and beans either, but with the size if the enchilada there is no way you could finish all of that food if it had. It was raining while we were there but there is a really big outdoor seating area that looked nice. Also, there is a smoking and non smoking section inside, which is quite rare in salzburg from what I've seen.

Without the phone battery, I was able to recall…read morethe approximate location and walked and walked and asked the young lady walking by for directions. Like a good old way. Thanks for your help and also suggestion "Don't drink too much beer!". It is definitely a tourist stop over but glad I did it and you should too. If you are coming from the side entrance, walk thru one of the double door with yellow sign. Also street sign above. Go down the huge stairs and you can hear and smell the fun. Make a left and at the end is where you pay for the beer, grab the stein, rinse and get it filled. All done within 30 feet radius. You can retrace back and grab all the meats and such. Cash only! Outdoor area is huge. Tree leaves started to come out Mid April. Interior beer halls with plenty of seats. 100's people drinking pints and pints of beer. Men's room, designed to take care of all this. Beer was ok, food was ok, experience was ok. Did meet one of the workers offered to take photos. Nicer one at it! All spoke good English so communication was good.

Inside its like a mini mall food court there are 10-12 different stands where you can choose cheese or sausage or pretzels. Service is quick but confusing to figure out, you will get it down fast. I bought a mug to take home. One of the best experiences I had in Austria.

The noise was awful as we were only a couple of feet apart. The other two tables of two next to us also were grimacing. In rooms this small I wonoder why not just make it all communal family style dining as couples have a miserable time. In the other room there was a party of twelve and then a few other smaller tables. Our food arrived in 5 minutes from ordering, so obviously out of pre-cooked batches. Pablo had the asparagus ravioli, a massive portion. I had pork, again a large portion. You will never starve in Austria! Food was A-OK. We ate and ran.

I've ate here during the Mercedes G-Class tour of Austria and I find the restaurant "employees & most locals" are so rude against anybody who are not Austrians or Germans. Especially if you are an American! Oddly they are not friendly to American visitors dining at their local hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Even the waiter asked me if I had money to pay for my dinner which was about $17 euros. Are you kidding me? They're lucky I didn't sued them. I'll just let it go in this review. I'll give a two star rating since I liked their food and it was delicious. The meal I ordered was prepared with perfection. I just don't appreciate the bad attitude and the poor judgments they have when Non-Austrians/Germans are visiting this place.
