The soup tasted really flavorful 8/10. The mushrooms and onions were a bit large though. The inside was a bit too warm though, hotter than the outside. Good location close to campus. I was really craving some good Phõ in Corvallis. This place came up and I looked over the reviews and thought why not try it out. They have you walk up and order you meal at the counter and pay for it, and they bring out the meal to you. I had #26 which was a beef, and meatball phõ. This was a disappointing experience. The food was lacking in flavor and bland. The chicken was scarce throughout our two dishes. The pad Thai well, I can say I have not experienced opening up a container and wondering what color it actually is. Other reviews have it from pinkish color in nature; I can say ours was a 70's (non-OSU) funky orange shag carpet color and appearance. Flavors were not prominent and mostly bland. Drunken noodles were the winner here and was the only food we didn't toss the remains into the garbage. The web site is outdated, if you have an order ready be prepared to be told that's an old menu - not available anymore but also their prices have increased. There is great potential here for their location and base menu to expand on the flavor profile. read more

The lemongrass chicken vermicelli was not what I expected. At most Vietnamese restaurants you get some grilled lemongrass chicken on a bed of vermicelli, fresh veggies like lettuce, cucumbers, carrots and bean sprouts, topped with peanuts and cilantro and a side of fish sauce. It's delicious and simple and somehow they've decided to mess that up. I should have read the entree details more carefully because their version of lemongrass chicken vermicelli is stir fried chicken with onions and celery in a sauce with WAY too much turmeric and a hint of lemongrass that's also somehow still bland all on top of a bed of vermicelli noodles and lettuce. It's weird, bland and just doesn't work. At least the potstickers were good. read more

I'm a supporter of local businesses and really don't think doing bad reviews unless I'm super upset. We got spicy Panang chicken and chicken green curry with rice. For $13 each, I got 3 small pieces of chicken and 3 thin strips of broccoli and my husband's dish had scarce ingredients in few mouthful and were gone before he counted them. Both were water down soup and not curry. Not to mention, we were both still hungry when done eating and felt ripped off. We'd definitely not be back and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

We got the beef and meatball pho, which my gf said was good, except for the meatball which was "just disgusting" and pad see ew, which I took three bites of before realizing that it was insanely bland but still managed to have a weirdly sweet taste which was just plain bad. Like negative flavor or something. Did they mess up the sauce? Is there sauce? Seasoning? What happened here? My gf agreed and I tossed it. Unbelievably bad. It's clear they haven't even looked up a Thai recipe before. They gave me Panang curry that didn't even have coconut milk in it. The base was water, and it tasted as flavorless as it sounds. I have never ever had curry this bad. Not even at Thai Express, which is also awful. The pad see ew was terrible. It was 90% bland and completely flavorless noodles. It had about 2 pieces of chicken in it. It was also lacking in vegetables. I'm guessing as a way of upping profit at the expense of ever having a customer order from them again. It's clear this place is going for a Vietnamese/Thai fusion. I usually come here due to convenience from OSU. You do have to spend over $8 to use your card. I come here for the pho, pad thai and boba tea. Servers are nice, but pretty slow. I've been in Corvallis three years now and remember trying this place when I first moved here and didn't like it (don't remember what I ordered). Decided to try this place again and ordered their drunken noodles with shrimp, and it was very yummy! Exactly was I was hoping to get and what I'm used to back in the Bay Area. Even better, they have actual wide rice noodles (the fresh ones). Other Asian restaurants in Corvallis don't have it, so big plus for Lemongrass Noodle House! I'll definitely be back to try the rest of their Thai stir fried noodles, and maybe even their Vietnamese dishes because their pho broth smelled SO good when I walked inside. read more

I enjoy their but pho, however I decided to try the vermicelli. Usually traditional vermicelli at $10 would include many veggies; carrots, celery, cabbage, cilantro, etc. This vermicelli was farrrrrrr from that. It was consisted of over cooked vermicelli noodles, pre packaged marinated pork and a minimal amount of veggies. I will never purchase vermicelli from this restaurant ever again. Especially not for the price of $10, definitely $2. I hate to make harsh reviews, but I'm extremely disappointed. Dinner was an overall disappointment. We had lemongrass vermicelli with tofu, pad thai with not much chicken, and two four seasons rolls. Nothing was seasoned well, and the shrimp in one of the four seasons rolls was virtually non-existent. Both rolls were primarily shredded lettuce. We're sorry to have to review this way, but the food was truly unacceptable. We hope the restaurant can correct the deficiencies and wish them well. read more

This new restaurant on Monroe has been under construction for a very long time (since Spring 2010). I live close, so I pass by it everyday. It finally opened Nov 1st. I was under the impression that it was either Thai or Vietnamese food. I went in with my coworker. I had the Pho Bo Vien (meatballs in Pho), and she had the Drunken Noodles. Here are my honest opinions regarding: Pho: DISASTER. When the waitress served me the bowl, I was waiting for the usual tray of basil leaves, lemongrass, bean sprouts, green pepper slices. I have had pho at numerous locations, never have I not gotten any "condiments". I proceeded to ask for basil & bean sprouts, what I got was a tea-saucer-sized plate with an equivalent amount of approx. 5 small basil leaves and some sprouts. I wanted to share my Pho with my coworker, but was reluctant because it was not a good representation (taste or presentation-wise) of what Pho is. Drunken Noodles: MEDIOCRE. I had a taste, the flavoring was quite bland. I am not one to complain about tastefully-done seasoning, but the taste was as "flat" as the noodles that came with it. More importantly, my coworker was disappointed, mentioning she needed salt (see below discussion). We've eaten at nearby Thai food restaurants, and love our pad thai... the drunken noodles attempted to be like pad thai, but miserably failed. Ouch. Atmosphere: It's new, so it was clean. The only concern I had was how they've included granite-top counters and tables, when really, they should've paid more attention to the menu. The decor is minimal (which I don't mind), and on each table is a small vase with flowers. Nothing else (no salt/pepper shaker, sugar packets, soy sauce, hot sauce, etc). It's been years since I've last eaten at a Vietnamese restaurant in Corvallis, being the first time I had such a horrible experience (place closed down a year or two ago). However, Lemon Grass Noodle House just opened and the food is decently good in comparison to most places in the city and this place trumps a location in Eugene. Kinks still need to be worked out in their service as it took about 16:30 min for our table to receive all the meals after placing the order. And though our campus is rather Americanized, I feel that the pho condiments should (specifically sauces) be placed on the table when it's ordered (though we requested for some hoisin sauce, it never came). Had ordered #16, the BBQ pork in vermicelli noodles; and to my surprise it tasted good, but it's hard to screw this dish up. However, do note that the portions are rather small and you'll be leaving hungry. Understandable that service is slow and food prep may take it's time as this is the start of their learning curve. Hopefully a few weeks from now the wait won't take 1/4 an hour, maybe an increase in portion size (or change of price), and meals served the way it should be (a bit more traditional w/ sauces or bean sprouts on the side instead of inside the bowl already). Try it if you haven't had a non-home cooked decent Vietnamese dish in Corvallis or even if you had never tried a dish before. The place is rather nice overall... I have this undying love for pho and bubble tea and I feel this place never fails to make me happy. Anytime I get a craving for pho, I always try to convince my boyfriend and friend to take me there. The pho is delicious, and the bubble tea is perfect, not too sweet. It's also nice that when you order a spicy dish, you can decide exactly how spicy you want it. The service is also really good, the owner is really nice and I never feel I have to wait too long for anything I ask. The only thing that bugs me is that everytime I come here, I have to ask for napkins and chopsticks. But that's the only thing. read more

The first time we went I enjoyed the food. I love the selection. I was only looking at one side and didn't know there was a whole slew of other dishes on the back. The chicken satay was delicious. The egg rolls were a bit greasy and tasted from a frozen box. The staff was friendly. The second time I tried a yellow curry with mushrooms, potatoes, and other goodies. I tried a different appetizer which came out five minutes later than my girlfriends! Then, to my sadness, there wasn't ONE potato in my curry. Ahh. Potato curry without potatoes?? I didn't complain, but I knew I wanted to write a review so another innocent hungry gal doesn't miss her potatoes again. If you can add one potato... The Pho was good. The broth is divine. The setting is a little cramped and the air conditioning doesn't work very well. Dress down for this establishment. Shorts and a tank. Overall, good food, but it's not consistent. I heard they owned the little place over by the old Blockbuster at one point and it was also inconsistent with hours and food. Hopefully they'll make a few good changes. read more

So my fiance and I are new to town and we both love pho so when we drove past this place we mentally noted it and checked it out as soon as we could. Like I said we both came for the pho so that was all we ordered, plus some spring rolls, so that is all I can rate at this point. The spring rolls came and were decoratively cut and arranged, but were not sealed at the ends which was interesting, made them a little more difficult to eat. The pho was disappointing to say the least. The broth was thin and missed the distinct velvety mouthfeel that pho is known for. I wonder if they don't use oxtail in their broth. Another important thing that was missing was the classic assortment of vegetation to add in to your soup. Bean sprouts, thai basil, cilantro, lime wedges, fresh peppers, etc. I asked the waitress about it and she said that was already in there but if I wanted more she would bring some extra, but never did. The flavor was ok but just not all that great. Service was fine, just one waitress but it was a small place so not too bad. It seems like they are trying to be a little upscale, but when I went to the bathroom I had to walk past piles of empty boxes and various junk, then the bathroom door was propped open with a traffic cone, a little weird.
