At 2 minutes to 4 after driving 30 min to get my dog washed at the same place I've been coming for 2 years the person who has assisted me before says "sorry last wash is before 4 and we close at 5". Even after explaining that I just drove over 30 min to bring her to Lemos to get a bath he said no. So I want to thank Lemos for saving me over $100 today. I took Bandit to the brand new Lemos Feed and Pet Supply today to try out the new self serve dog baths. Bandit isn't a fan of baths so I didn't know how it would go. Turns out it went great. Just walk in and tell the staff you're there for the bath. They provide everything! From shampoo to a waterproof collar, towel and even an apron. The water is warm and there are different settings. Staff is incredibly helpful. Bandit was an instant fan and didn't even mind the blow dryer. Lemos will be our go to for bath day from now on. We have been long time customers of Lemos, we know how much the owners do in the community and how much they give back and wouldn't think of shopping elsewhere. Bandit loves the food, I love the service and the prices are essentially the same as the big box stores but with much better service. read more

Our Santa Maria store moved to a new building & expanded their stock & added a Self dog wash. The facility is clean, & state of the art equipment. Self-dog wash on Sunday an absolute mess! Initially, waited one hour (told half hour) for a few dogs ahead of mine. Girl who checked me out left and another blunder verifying my payment. Tub a mess, had to keep bothering cashier for soap, towels and I didn't even get the apron and wound up soaked. My SPOO cold because dryer blew cold air. Bad experience for $15! read more

Came in today to wash my German Shepard, and while I usually go to Petco, I decided to try out Lemos. My dog Luna fit very comfortable in the bin. Your provided with towels, your choice of soap, an apron, the wash, and the dryer. However, unlike Petco, you don't get a brush to brush away your doggo as you wash them. The steps to get into the wash bin aren't as easy for a dog to get into as the Petco one, however they do just fine. Excellent water pressure with different varieties of spray action. I'm unsure whether or not the soap comes out of the shower head, like at Petco, since I brought my own. Overall a great experience with helpful staff (: read more

Although our regular Lemos store is Arroyo Grande (a great store and fabulous service) I went to the new Lemos store in Santa Maria as they have a self serve dog wash. Great service and a great dog wash setup. A choice of soap, an apron, nice ramp for dog entry, adequate water hose and nozzle towel and dryer! An assistant to clean up immediately!! I don't do reviews, but I needed to say thank you to the staff that was in Lemos this afternoon. I took in my husky for the first time for the self service wash station. In typical husky form, he started over talking and whining because he didn't want to get up. One of the workers saw my husband and I struggling and brought over some treats to help lure our husky inside. All of the workers were attentive, informative, and had great customer service. I went in to lemons to give my tripod a bath. I have a hearing problem, and Liz said good morning i thought she was talking to someone else I'm sorry what did you say. In a really rude tone "I said good morning". I'm like all happy I say good morning back and said sorry. But I didn't tell her because I thought she was going to be all rude again. So I just went up to the register and then Liz came up again and was like what do you want. I'm like can I get a dog wash. Then asked for my number gave it to her. She didn't ask what kind of shampoo or anything she chose for me so rude. She threw the towel on top of the washing station didn't say anything else. I love the Dog washes everyone else in there was nice especially the guy that puts away all the feed away. I understand that Mr Lemos personally hires each employee, no idea if that's true but I have always found each one exceptional. I usually visit the SM store, but often go to Atascadero and Paso, same great employees there too. That's important because they can explain the products in a knowledgeable way, friendly, courteous and helpful. I love my dogs and want the best and safest food and products for them. After not finding what I wanted at Petsmart, I decided to give Lemos a try. Easy parking and I found what I needed immediately. it isn't the largest store, but they had a lot of dog harnesses and leads in stock. And their prices are far better! Finally, the young man that waited on me knew his inventory very well and even helped me try harnesses on my little dog. Very, very personalized service and I felt so welcome. Those big stores can be pretty impersonal. I understand that Lemos is locally owned and I am all about keeping local businesses in business.
