Just happened to find Olivia by chance driving by. Best luck ever. I have a Maine Coon with VERY long hair (in my defense, I didn't know his hair would be as long as it is). Brushing him daily doesn't keep up with the mats. Finding a groomer to do a cat is not easy. The few in SLO county that will are very busy, rushed and noisy. Not the best environment for a cat. Not Olivia's Paw Spa. There is no other way to describe Olivia except 'sweetheart'. She has such a calming energy about her. And her shoppe reflects that. And she made sure to schedule him at a time that would be the most quiet. Rufus looks so good with his new haircut. He's only 10 months old and he looks like a kitten again (all 16 lbs. of him!) I will definitely bring him in regularly. I couldn't recommend Olivia's Paw Spa more highly. read more

I am Wayne N. and have two Scottie dogs that are giving Olivia a 9 out of ten rating. Ten being totally a god-like groomer; which no one is. We, Angus and Beatrice, the Scotties, are allowing our human to take us, once a month, for a bath and hair cut. Olivia treats us great, the waiting crates are roomy, and we are not here for four hours like the last place; only two and a half. It takes so long because she works out my mats without stressing me out; I'm a wheaten Scotty. Beatrice has the typical Scotty hair coat and looks beautiful/sexy after Olivia grooms her. I am a handsome dude and strut more manly after Olivia cuts my hair. So bring your furry companion, dog or, yuck, cat to her for the most party time/excellent grooming on the central coast. read more

I have been using OLIVIA to groom my pets for years. She now has her own dog salon in NIPOMO very easy to find, easy parking. Olivia LOVES DOGS and has a passion for what she does. Grooming dogs is NOT an easy task, yet Olivia is a pro and does a fabulous job. I trust her with my German Shepard, my Austrailian Shepard, my two Shih Tzu's, and my bulldogs. She also grooms my hair dressers cat, and my hair dresser says she does an amazing job. Its great to support small businesses and Olivia does a super job. Forget the "petsmart" type grooming salons, go to an independent operator that loves what she does. OLIVIAS PAW SPA is my go to place for all my dogs. read more

I've had dogs most of my life, it's very hard to find not only a good groomer with skill but also one that's personable and truly, authentically loves your doggie kids. Olivia is all of the above and more. I saw her place while driving by, decided to give her a call because my previous groomer just wasn't a good fit. When i picked up my babies today, they were on the floor with Olivia hanging out and giving her kisses. Usually they are so upset and scared (at previous groomers) Dogs know, they are smart. We love Olivia and appreciate so much how she takes the time to listen to us. We've had so many groomers in the past insist on making our dog, Vinny, look like a high society circus dog and that does not represent his personality or ours!! She is careful and kind and we are so very happy for her in her new venture in Nipomo! It added about 30 minutes to our drive to get Vinny groomed, but she is worth every drop of gasoline! I have taken my dogs here 3 times this year. I love that this is a small salon and she blocks off a large block of time for just my dogs. 2 of my dogs have some anxiety and they are all able to see each other and 2 can cage together if needed. She remembers me and my dogs by name. Every single time my dogs look fabulous, have never had razor burn and this just makes me even more pleased. Olivia is wonderful and we highly recommend her. We have 2 Westies and she does such a good job with them. They are always happy to see Olivia and so we know they have a positive experience while they are being groomed. She does an excellent job with the Westie cut...better than other groomers we have seen in the past. Olivia listens to us and charges a fair price. We love Olivia's. A friend recommended her and we tried her paw spa and have never gone anywhere else. Each dog's grooming needs are individually met while working with the dog's level of tolerance. (My younger dog doesn't like his feet touched and she has to take it slow with him). She's very loving with the dogs and they get so excited when they see her. Hands down, this is the best groomer in the area. The interior of the salon is super cute. Olivia was so wonderful to work with. She was soooo patient and understanding with my nervous dog.
