Came here for a late lunch with 9 family members after stopping at the Cemetery to pay respects to our aunt. When we walked in the place is pretty unassuming. We noticed the banquet room in the back was very nice but we had a small party so we sat at a large table up front. They brought the food out on plates, family style. I must say it didn't disappoint! The food was served hot and it was phenomenal. We got the roasted chicken which was juicy and flavorful. The pasta and sausage was the best I've ever had... there was something about the hearty sauce that made it phenomenal. And we also got the perch, which was very good. Were there weekend of 10/17the to hear Little Giants play. The wait staff was awesome, a bit tight for seating it the worked hard to accommodate guests. The music was great & good drinks. I've been going in Lencionis for a longtime. Drinks and service are always good. Little disappointed on 01/12/25 when we stopped for dinner and drinks, not up to usual standards. Went to the restaurant to test out food for possibly catering my bridal shower. Got there and had to get the bartenders attention to be served. Wasn't impressed with the food it tasted like it was definitely frozen beforehand. A gentleman who seemed like a regular kept heckling us from across the bar and bartender never said anything. Made our visit uncomfortable, and really upset nobody said anything to him. Especially considering we were new customers. I can call this place Glenwood Oaks reborn..It is owned by the former owners of the Oaks..Mostly known for their banquets the food is just as good as before..The bar is cozy enough but i came for the food..You have to try the ribs..I ordered a half a slab and the meat just falls off the bone..The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home.. read more

My family contacted Lencioni's with short notice after a family member passed away to have a dinner after the funeral. We had a buffet for 50 people and the food was incredible. Numerous people commented how good the food was. The staff was attentive and very accommodating. We would highly recommend Lencioni's and will definitely consider them in the future. Stopped in after work for an adult beverage while waiting for my ride home. The bar area is relatively small and fills up quick. I watched a waitress place a "Reserved " plaque on every table. Tonight was fish fry night, when my ride arrived we debated on staying for the fish fry. It all seemed ok so we gave it a shot. We placed our orders and headed to the soup and salad bar. The soup was a chicken dumpling and the iceberg lettuce was fresh complimented with random vegetables, potato salad, cottage cheese and canned chocolate pudding. The Walleye and Perch arrived. The Walleye was a large portion. By the time it had arrived, I was feeling rather blah after consuming the soup and salad. I managed to take a couple bites of my Walleye. It was light and crispy, had decent flavor but the soup or the salad had already soured my stomach. Clearly one of the two didn't agree with me. By the time I got home I had cramped up and was hurting. The rest of the night was challenging to say the least. Returning will be questionable. read more

We came to Lencioni's Pub & Banquets for the funeral luncheon of my grandmother. The staff was really on point. They took care of us and made sure that the trays of food were never empty, but also weren't constantly there. They recognized the type of gathering that it was, and I felt that they truly respected that. The banquet room was perfectly adequate for the size we needed, and you bet your bum we made use of the bar. It was pretty empty when we went, but I mean it's a bar in the middle of the afternoon. I'm sure it gets pretty crowded when you're there at night as a normal patron. We did our catering buffet style in the banquet room. I know we had sides, mashed potatoes and some sort of broccoli at the least. They were pretty good. But the reason to come here is the fried chicken. It's my favorite chicken, period. It's juicy, it's flavorful, it's crispy, it's everything you want in a piece of fried chicken. I definitely hope to come back to this establishment under happier circumstances. read more

I held a banquet at Lencioni's after the funeral of my husband. The owner and staff were all extremely helpful and attentive. The room was large and airy and the service was excellent. The food was really good and the buffet style service was well done with plenty left over. The cost was also very reasonable. Dinner was fine until the manager stepped in with a attitude with how the chicken was prepared. The chicken breast was missing a good portion of meat, the waitress went back to the kitchen to have another piece prepared. Instead of preparing a new chicken breast the manager brought it back to our table and lectured us on how this was a "dip" and normal. We didn't come to be lectured. Ruined our dinner, we asked for the check and left. We will not be returning. read more

Chicken! This bar is owned by the same guy that used to do catering at the VFW in Lansing. I have hosted a funeral luncheon here and everything was delicious. Service had always been friendly and attentive both banquet and bar. My favorite thing of course is their amazing juicy crispy chicken. Best I have ever had. And my husband, a Northside transplant, has decided it's the best in the world! Never a bad experience. The facility itself is well maintained and clean, smells fresh not like bar funk. We recently had Lencioni's cater our daughters wedding without pre tasting any food. I was a nervous wreck but after the first bite my nerves were put to rest. The food was amazing! I have had guests contact me over and over telling me they have NEVER had such good food at a wedding. The mushroom ravioli in alfredo sauce seemed to be a favorite, but the chicken piccata and pork and dressing were also given rave reviews. We worked with Jack who was more than accommodating! He has a wonderful personality and made sure everything was what we wanted. The staff who set up and served stayed on top of their jobs with continuous smiles on their faces. We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary here. We celebrated in the banquet room and filled it up with family and close friends. All the food was delicious, including the dishes that were selected for those that do not eat meat. Dave worked very diligently with us to ensure the best possible outcome. Everyone was friendly in the bar and in the hall. Some of our family found old friends in the bar area and they were invited to join us in the banquet room. Online menu looks very interesting but upon arrival server wasn't knowledgeable about what is available or if they even have a dessert. Service was good, food "well" as a veggie terian wasn't available to suit me...so sides is what I ordered and the mash potatoes were GREAT. But with an Italian name someone should been available to make something without meat in it....disappointing......Thank God, Phil Angotti was playing because I don't think I would return for food but for this type of music. Driving home from shopping in Indiana we decided to take the "long way", not the expressway. Drove right past the restaurant & remembered I had read a review and wanted to try it so we turned around and did just that. Awesome bartender, made us feel very comfortable, made great food recommendations & told us the history. They actually buy their meat from the butcher shop we just came from in Dyer. Lencioni catered my wedding and they were amazing! Their food is fantastic and all my guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We got egg roles, chicken skewers, meatballs, and cheese, fruit and veggie trays as appetizers. We did family style servings and got the chicken florentine, rigatoni and meatballs, and turkey and stuffing as the entrees and it was incredible, I wish I would have had leftovers!
