This is out of the way but worth it. They have bar seating as well as tables and booths. A little dark but the bathrooms are bright and clean. There are also banquet rooms for large parties. Food is always good when I come. There are different specials on different nights. We play favorites for when we come. This evening was lamb chops on special. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. They give you bread with bruschetta, butter, and an olive tapenade which is delicious. The drinks a really good as well. The chicken parm was okay and came with pasta or veg if your choice. You also get a salad and soup so the prices for your meal are very good. I believe the lamb was on Tuesday and Friday and maybe Saturday has trout which I have had and is delicious. I've given this place three chances and I'm throwing in the towel. I don't understand how an Italian place could have such bland food. Prego would be an improvement on their pasta sauce. We went on a Wednesday evening and the only good part of the experience was our lovely server. I had the chicken piccata dinner. The pasta fagioli was so strange- beans and pasta but tasted like navy bean soup. The Caesar salad was made of mixed greens, no romaine, with 50 croutons and a cup of dusty Parmesan cheese on it. The dressing had no bite to it. It's like they've never seen a recipe for either item. Maybe it's from a different part of Italy where they didn't get the memo. Chicken breasts were very good and portion was ample, but again.... So bland for a piccata. I so want to love this place. We need it in the area. The atmosphere is definitely old school. Music is cool but too loud. I had hoped my first two times were an anomaly but it's looking pretty consistently bad. Please please change up your recipes and bring some flavor! read more

Ample parking in spacious private parking lot. Upon entering the place has loads of charm, character and old world Italy feel to it. Check out the wall art. We came as a party of 10 on a weekday and were placed in a small area with a large round table which was perfect for our large group. Our waitress was quick to bring our waters and take our drink orders. We ordered 3 chicken romanos (yummy!) with potatoes and pasta, burger and fries, shrimp linguine, white clam pasta and eggplant Parmesan. All was served quick, hot and fresh. I came here for a birthday dinner for my wife's aunt. There were eight of us in the party. We were seated comfortably and a large table. We ordered our meals, and it was very interesting. They included soup and salad, and your choice of potato mostaccioli or vegetables I ordered chicken Lemon and it was served on a large plate. Chicken breast medallions served in a lemon cream sauce with white wine and garlic. It will serve and the chicken was tender. Mostaccioli was delicious. Served with the red sauce. The salad I ordered dressing it was mixed greens with cherry tomatoes, and small slices of cucumber Dressing seemed homemade. It was delicious perfectly accompanied the salad. The weight staff was excellent. Our waitress was an excellent waitress. He was very attentive and he got everything to us and fulfilled all of our needs. This is the second time I've eaten here and this is some really good food, Italian dish was very good the first time. Just went there for lunch yesterday with my brother and he said let's get the calamari and combo sandwhich. Man the calamari was fabulous, lightly breaded and tasty. We moved out to this area several years ago and Scrementis was the first restaurant we tried. Since then it has always been our go to top pick. The portions are always large, the quality is fantastic and everyone is so good at their job from busboys to the owner! Awesome drinks and if it's a leisurely weekend meal we love starting off the evening with a cocktail at the bar. Mike enjoys the Italian food especially the sausage and peppers. Good food but the place needs dusting. I was sitting next to the window blinds and they were filthy. The ceiling corners have cobwebs which were also there the last time I visited about a year ago. I'd suggest the cleaning crew use bright headlamps while dusting. read more

Dined there tonight, we were a table of 5. Totally enjoyed our experience. Our meals were great, four of us had the Twin Lobster Tail Special, our 5th had their Italian Pulled Pork Special. The meals and specials are truly a great value. They serve soup and salad with the meals and an olive bruschetta bread. Portions are generous. In addition, the sides along with the entree are great and I chose one of their pastas instead of potato. Server Karen waited on our table. We had been there before and she remembered us! She provided wonderful service and overall pleasant demeanor (both times we were there). Their bus staff were also attentive and helpful. From the fall decorations to the Italian art on the wall creates a pleasant experience. The linen napkins are a nice touch, too. I had never been here before but tried it out with a couple of friends last Friday night. We got seats at the bar which was too crowded at the time. Started with some wine and cocktails. First course was the calamari which was excellent. I also ordered the special salad which was beet that night and it was also excellent. We ordered a few small plates for dinner. Had the shrimp scampi which was good. The meatballs and gnocchi which was ok and the giblets which were different but good. Overall it's a great place to have a dinner. Our Church group was turned away from another restaurant- they were not prepared for us. Not sure what happened with our e reservation but we were directed to Scrementi's only 15 minutes away. What went well - in short everything. A separate room was set for us - full table linens etc. just as if they expected us all along. We were all provided with soup, Italian salad, fresh warm bread, bruschetta, olive tapenade, drinks of our choice which they kept refilled ( lemonade, tea, etc) and our choice of entrees with a side pasta, choice of potatoes or a side vegetables. They were clearly experienced in handling groups. Everything was kept full The servers were quick and pleasant and efficient. Very accommodating. The restaurant itself was very beautiful and well maintained. Nicely decorated for the holiday season. While not expecting a group of 20+ on short notice they handled us with ease. When the entrees were delivered the volumed lowered as conversation stopped to enjoy the meal. There were zero complaints, everything was wonderful. As we packed our leftovers - as the portions were so filling you would not leave unsatisfied. Went with our little group tonight at eight people there and everybody ordered something different. Sherwin had ribs. Barbara had eggplant Parmesan. Dennis had chicken Parmesan. Marianne had a steak. I had pasta Dolo with salmon on it. Everybody had something different. We had a great waitress and Karen and everybody loves their food, they give you soup and salad with your main course and the table has ground olives and tomatoes to put on the Italian bread they serve. First time going to this place. I should've checked other reviews about reservations first' OMG!! Very Very rude hostess! Older ladies asked us if we had reservations and no we did not. I asked if we needed one and both also made a face and said yes, if not we needed to wait an hour for 5. I guess if you don't have a reservation the hostess will scold you and sit you in the coldest seat available. Have been numerous times... tonight was definitely different. Regular hostess was not seating. The new hostess was loud, overbearing and obnoxious. She rudely asked for my name on the reservation, when I told her I didn't have one she sighed loudly and rolled her eyes. I asked: if it's better to make a reservation and she just nodded her head through pursed lips. This is a old fashioned Italian place...newer building though. They do catering and banquets, restaurant and bar. It's clean, decor is good, plenty of staff. The hostess told me they had been in this building for 14 years, and it was probably new when it opened, but I know it was in another location forever. The staff was friendly. We got there on a Sunday after the Bears (late) game, so maybe 7pm. THE FOOD: We (party of 4) ordered calamari app, and they brought out some bread with do it yourself fixins for Bruchetta. A small bowl of garlic tomatoes and a small bowl of olive mix. Both were ok. I ordered the Angel Hair pasta with meatball, and I asked for an extra italian sausage. Split pea soup, and salad. The salad was sparse, but good. The pea soup was just ok. Sometimes the first time I'm at an Italian restaurant, I order pasta and meatballs with the theory that, if you can't make a decent spaghetti and meatballs, you're not gonna be good at Italian dishes. I wish I could say it was fantastic, but..... There was no meatball, only sausage. The Angel Hair was overcooked, and not drained well, the sauce was red soup..no flavor, no nothing. The sausage tasted like it had been cooked earlier, heated up, and mixed in to the pasta. Horrible. No meatball. How does that happen on a pasta and meatball dish? I dont know if it was because it was late on a Sunday night, and the kitchen was coasting, or if they just have an older clientel, loyal customer base who is ok with substandard dishes. My dining companions were satisfied with their (bland looking) chicken alfredo, lemon chicken, and eggplant pasta. They didnt look appetizing to me, but... they said they were "ok". But they are (don't tell them) older clientel who live in the area (I don't). The mens room was clean and looks good, but the floor was kind of slippery (greasy) as if they mopped it with the same water as the kichen. Parking lot is decent sized. read more

I came in from Lawrence, MI. and had our anniversary dinner on June 15th. If you are in doubt about where to have your event, I can assure you that this is the right place. Everything looked beautiful, the wait staff was kind and efficient. The food was served hot and delicious. I was able to enjoy the evening without having to do a thing.
