We applied for the SBA loan through Lendistry and they are requiring 2019 Schedule C documentation to proceed? These are business loans and most businesses have not even completed their 2019 taxes yet. Most vendors are closed preventing us from obtaining all documentation to finish our 2019 taxes. Due to this, the IRS has extended, by many months, additional time to file our 2019 taxes. We are following the severe restrictions from our Federal, State, County and Local government agencies due to the Covid-19 virus with their Stay-At-Home orders in place to protect each other to keep everyone safe. Why is Lendistry demanding everyone submits 2019 Schedule C's when 2018, 2017 and 2016... and beyond are readily available? Everyone understands this, but not Lendistry? read more

The system had problems for the first round with heavy online access. My first application kept crashing when I was trying to complete document uploads. I started a 2nd application with my home email address and everything was smooth. Chrome was the successful browser. Customer service was polite and clear about each round. I was not expecting to receive this grant. I will end this review with a "thank you" for the received grant. I am a veteran of Desert Storm and this grant was extremely helpful with employee salaries. Travel related customers failed during the Pandemic. These folks were really terrific in handling an avalanche of grant applications. I had SEVERAL who spoke with me and helped guide me through some fairly complex steps once my application was being considered. This took a while. I would have rated a 5 star, except that communication -- at the beginning -- was a little difficult/in terms of reaching a real person. By the end of the process, this had all been ironed out and both the personal handling and the on-line provided a real ease of use that, frankly, surprised me (!) but said many good things about the company. We missed the window to apply through our bank (chase - though they re-opened applications later) and looked into several other lending services that had been recommend to us. Even amidst the information overload and constantly changing SBA guidelines - the lendistry application process was one of the more straightforward systems I had seen available. The portal for uploading documentation was well designed, and within a day or two of applying (and a quick e-mail asking for correction of a document) we were approved. The funds were deposited into our account quickly. Even though we're still waiting on forgiveness logistics to be ironed out by the gov, lendistry has kept us updated and their team is standing by to help us process the forgiveness documents once things are sorted out. It's the first time that I use this service. I applied for a PPP loan with a couple of large banks, including the one I bank with. Two weeks later NO response. I found Lendistry online and applied just to see what happened. Next day got an email from them by telling me that a representative would contact me shortly and I had to link my bank acct. I receive a personal email by an agent (BRIAN MARCUS), who showed me what exactly I needed it. He was really clear, professional, kind and extremely helpful. I applied for the SBA(7a) loan and after two months of going back-and-forth with documents, I was told today that I got denied due to high obligation debt. I'm gonna tell you why this does not make sense to me at all. I made $168,000 last year on my tax return. The three debts that I have are as follows: $906 a month for a business loan, only $93 a month for another and the other loan, which I will not have to start paying until September of this year is $293 a month. Their monthly payment on the loan I was approved for was going to be about $798 a month which obviously from the income that I make I can definitely afford to pay this back. This is very disappointing and upsets me because this is not acceptable. I make a sufficient amount of income a year to pay this loan back. I also had to pay them $1500 for the letter of intent which to me seems absurd but that's besides the point. I need answers because I can afford to pay this loan back and I wanna know why I was denied because this is not right. It was a waste of time for two months going back-and-forth and I could've been told all of this prior. I also hope to see my money back. I will also be speaking to a lawyer, if I don't hear back from anyone. I know that I have a right to fight this case because like I mention I can afford to pay this loan back and I have the proof in my tax returns that I am able to so I'm not sure what is going on. I also reached out to the person five times within the last week and a half who I was working with and all of a sudden he stopped replying to me, but before when he needed documents he needed them in a rush. This person's name is Ishtiaq. The first persons name is May who I worked with who works with you with the preapproval process. In a way, I feel like I got scammed and I am hoping that this is not a scam because no one seems to reach out to you and all of a sudden there was this silence. It's rare I take time to write such a lengthy review, especially because I already feel my time has been massively wasted. I hope this info helps future customers know what they're getting into, and helps Lendistry improve their processes. As a business owner, while negative reviews are often painful, it's critical for us to receive them from customers in order to know where we are faltering and where we can improve. So, I hope Lendistry takes this in stride and for what it's worth to them. Caveats: we have a very unique and complex business structure, and I know it is not easy for lenders to get a grasp of what we do as such. We tried hard to make it easy on them documentation-wise, and provided everything they asked for. We were also applying for SBA financing (at Lendistry's recommendation, mind you), which we know is more challenging than typical financing. This also wasn't our first rodeo, and we were fully cognizant that a deal might not materialize with them as much as we might hope. I am trying to take all of this into consideration with this review and be as unbiased as possible. Pros: 1) Lendistry, more so than any other lender we have worked with to date, really took the time to understand our business, its challenges/risks, and worked hard (at least at first) to put a deal together, especially considering it involved the SBA. We were impressed with their understanding of our business and could tell they spent some serious time exploring us. 2) Their front-end biz-dev folks are very nice people, and we appreciated all of their follow up, communication, and early efforts working with us. They repeatedly told us they liked our business, thought it had potential, and wanted to do a deal with us, despite the challenges. This is what ultimately led to their demise with this deal (and perhaps others) as we see it. Their front-end sales people kept telling us "we wouldn't have spent this much time analyzing your business if we didn't think there was a deal there". They led us to believe we were going to make something happen, and we worked hard and put countless hours into it as a result (and we know they did too). Cons: 1) We spent 6-weeks doing a ton of paperwork, hassling shareholders and investors for signatures, answering questions, providing documentation, etc., thinking again there was something there. We would not have spent as much time and energy pursuing all of this if they weren't leading us on as such. I'm not sure why they put so much effort into it if there were strong concerns about our business fundamentals. 2) At the end, despite EVERYONE's hard work over the month and a half we were working together, one 45-minute call with the underwriter killed the deal. We still aren't fully clear why said underwriter's issues weren't brought to light sooner. Basically, we feel like we wasted a lot of time because it seems they don't have their s**t together and weren't communicating with one another. 3) The underwriter made several very incorrect assumptions about what we were trying to do with the funds. We had answered these questions several times with their various front-end folks throughout the process (and it was never a major issue), and clearly the underwriter was in the dark and did not what was going on by the time she got involved. Again, bad communication as far as we can tell. 4) After the deal was killed, we went back to Lendistry's sales team to see if they would give us a 2nd look/chance. They agreed to do so under the predication we would remove the 1st negative review, which we did. However, they really didn't do much 2nd-looking, and basically just said there's nothing else we can do for you. Now, we understand that front and back offices need to have their separation, so the underwriters can be as unbiased as possible. But, Lendistry's failure, in our perspective, is they were so disconnected and out of touch with their back-office team, that the front-end office was ultimately selling everyone on a deal that wasn't possible from the start. So, to you dear consumer and to Lendistry, if you want to be efficient and successful, then we suggest your offices collaborate more and communicate better to ensure you're not wasting people's time, and leaving a bad taste in their mouth. We wish we hadn't wasted all that time with you, and you had done a better job saying no to us from the start. That is what hard-working business owners want most from vendors: clear communication and respect for one another's time. We will definitely be more selective in the use of our time going forward, because it is our biggest asset as business owners. I hope Lendistry does the same for their sake. read more

We will be filing a formal government agency complaint and contacting legal assistance to see what we may do about the disparate treatment received from the agent we worked with. I am a SBA PPP loan borrower from Lendistry. Their service is really bad. Their agents will never provide you with their direct number. They only give you a general number where the operator will not connect to you to your agent. So, the only way you can get in touch with them is via email. My experience with them is that they will not respond back for days up to even a week after multiple emails. When you call the general number you have to wait for at least 15 minutes up to an hour just to talk to an operator. The operator has no answer to your specific questions and can't connect you to your agent. They also do not have a complaint department. If you deal with Lendistry you are at their mercy for when they want to talk to you because you have no way to contact them. If I could give them a zero start rating I would but the lower I can go is a one star rating. read more

It's great to help small businesses, but I don't agree the way they check our tax return and their decision how much we would receive. Some of us do need more support because we got so much loss in our business even that didn't show on the tax return. I supposed to get 25K but they approved 5k only. That's unfair. read more

I've read some of the other reviews, and I don't believe that the award recipients understand how this type of system works. Lendistry is an agent - it's their job to administrate the grant process; they don't define the process. They have rules and guidelines to follow and their job is to help applicants get the paperwork and documents submitted correctly. In that respect, Lendistry did a great job. The two associates that I worked with were both helpful, respectful, and responsive. I thought that the communication from Lendistry was sufficient. They sent an informational email each time a funding round closed and gave information about when the next round would open, and included instructions about what to do to be considered for a grant. I was not awarded a grant until the sixth round, so patience was key! But once I was awarded, I received the funds in less than a week even though I was told it could take up to a month. Applied for a CA Relief Grant for my small business and wish I had never started down this path of frustration. What a complete disaster! The application platform has crashed repeatedly, you can't upload the required documents, their auto-reply email instructs you to "take a deep breath and be patient". They promise their support staff will contact you to help ( never have) and it's virtually impossible to contact anybody. Do yourself a favor...run away from anything associated with Lendistry. Staff was professional and friendly and I finally received a grant after a long wait. However, I was never able to talk to anyone despite calling numerous times. I tried every region from northern to southern California but they kept hanging up the phone saying no one is available! I must have called at least 20 times during various hours. I own a Salon/Spa in California, so my business has been hit much harder than restaurants, who seem to be getting all the attention. Lendistry is just the middle man for the Ca Grant. Notice none of the people you speak to are in California LOL no seriously not funny. I applied for the Ca Grant on January 4th at 4 am. I was waitlisted 6 times! Being overlooked by companies that should never had been in front of me. (Non-Profits) FYI no offense to any of these businesses it's just that they were not shut down completely for 10 months. I got an e mail that I have been "Selected" read on...... You must understand that Lendistry is just the middle man, "Pimp" I like to call them. They are the kind of company that gets paid a fee for underwriting the grants., Every time I called Lendistry (I Called About 15 Times, And Was On Hold About An Hour And A Half Each Time) They don't have the software, tech people, and their site would fail and fail and fail. The portal? What a disaster. I would upload the same thing where I was instructed to, over and over, I would call and it would be in the wrong place or not at all. It took 2 1/2 weeks for them to "Accept" a 2019 tax return, really? Well It is June and I'm still waiting. The woman that I spoke to today said that it could possibly take another 6 months?
