It is an older warehouse but as long as the price is good who cares. I' m all about saving a dollar (more to spend on my trip). The store is Nothing fancy just like the name says they are a Surplus Warehouse . Every item in there is Overstock , sometimes you will see display models or even damaged boxes. Even thou it is a warehouse Everything is clean and organized but they have so much product that it does take a long time to browse around. I think they only have 1 of each item in stock . I usually view their items on kijiji before I go there and you will find some amazing deals and the best part is that everything already includes the Tax. YOu can easily price compare all their products online because everything is current and all brand names. I bought my Kids a 12V ride on Quad for $189 and the same one at my local wally world was $ 299 plus tax. I even got a full 1 year warranty . My most recent purchase there was a Leather Sofa Set since my cats had destroyed our other one. They sold the exact same set at costco for $3400 + tax and I bought it Brand New from them for $1700, free delivery and no Tax. What more can you ask for. I have seen many an array of product at this place like baby furniture, bedding , luggage , lots of toys, car accessories, Tv's, Lots of furniture lamps and lights etc..... anything and everything. This place is quite the Jem if you have kids or just want a great deal and you want to save lots of money I would recommend you check them out. One thing to note is that they have strange business hours. They are only open 4 days a week from 12 to 6 and they a little hard to find as you are not expecting to see a store in an industrial area like that. Almost everything there is made in China & most of their chain stores are based there as well. My in-law always seems to buy my family souvenirs from this brand whenever he goes to China. I was surprised that they've expanded to Canada so I had to pay it a visit. The store itself is small, but there is just enough room to manoeuvre a regular stroller but the aisles are tight & not in straight rows like most dollar stores. Pricing is not cheap like a dollar store, but affordable for what they offer. I would say item quality is superior than dollar store for many things. Items are also packaged very nicely & uniformly, look stylish/trendy/classy, some are also unique, and kid friendly, so it seems like your getting a good deal. I've never really had complaints about the stuff I've received from there or from what I bought. The staff are pretty friendly too & although there is very limited parking in the front, there's also parking stalls available at the back of the building too. I'd definitely come back to find some new things that 'I didn't know I needed in my life until I got there' type stuff.

I didn't check the prices on the electronics but most prices were reasonable. The store is brightly lit and well organized. It's fun to check out the different items. I bought my boyfriend a red bow tie when I came here. This is a great place to find some inexpensive gifts!

Sure, there's something to be said for consistency across the malls of Canada (where can't I find a Spring or an Aldo?), but it's such an awesome surprise to find something like this in a mall like that. The clothes here are gorgeous, with unique details and careful construction. The price is right, too. Even if I'm not in the market for a new garment, I can usually find a gorgeous new bag or jewelry piece. Dainty necklaces, feather earrings, you know the type. Lots of Matt and Nat stocked in here, too. Last time I was in, they were having a sale - bonus! Sales clerk was super friendly and explained the price reductions to me. I honestly make trips to Southgate just to go to Groove Stone. I love that a local business like this is able to make it in a commercially saturated mall. It's so refreshing to see such a unique place here. First off, I'm a sucker for anything Matt & Nat and Groove Stone has an unbeatable selection. It can be tough to find high quality vegan accessories, but at least now I know where to look. I also love how they support Canadian artists and designers. On my last visit I snagged some amazing earrings from Flight Path designs and some really unique pieces that my friends and family are going to love to receive this Christmas. Not only is the merchandise amazing, the staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly. They're always quick to offer suggestions and go out of their way to search for untouched pieces in the backroom so you don't have to buy the floor model. My only complaint with Groove Stone is that they keep taking my money from me! It's impossible for me to walk out empty-handed.

Magpie's is a store on main street in Leduc that sells local and handmade items. It's located in…read morethe same building as The Leduc Coffee Shop (coffee shop is to the left when you walk in and Magpie's is on the right). Magpie's is great because it's a store that features unique items. Everything here from local (Leduc, Beaumont ad Edmonton area) artisans and producers. There's a huge variety of gifts here, kitchen stuff, jewellery, art, bath products, and greeting cards. They also have a nice selection of kids toys as well. I always enjoy popping into Magpie's to see what's new because the vendors change every once in a while (maybe every few months). It's one of the stores where if you see something you like you'll want to buy it, because you can't be sure it'll be there next time. But the one thing that always stands out to me is the staff. Everything I've come in the person working is very friendly and helpful. One time I came in and talked to the lady working about needing to find a thank you card for a friend I was going to visit in Vancouver. Came in a few weeks later to look for something else and the same lady remembered me and asked how my trip to Vancouver was. Super friendly staff, really cool unique products that support local artisans and craftspeople is always a win. If you're in Leduc make sure to stop into Magpie's.

Shades of grey is located just around the Jasper/124 St. bend, near Matahari, Yo Mamma and a handful of other trendy shops and eateries. If you like to wear more unique brands, this store carries lines from New York and L.A., including Line & Dot, Anlo and Yumi Kim. The quality is fantastic - luscious, cozy, elegant fabrics and designs - sexy & sophisticated, inspired by more than a hint of Paris, and most of the pricing is reasonable, although there are a few higher-end price tags about the store. The next time I need a little retail therapy, I'm there - no shades of grey about it.

This is one of my favourite Reitman's in the city. It's a big store with sections for petites,…read moreplus, and shoes. They also sell accessories like socks, and jewelry. I shop at Reitman's a few times a year to pick up a blazer, work tops, or pants and find the decent quality for the price. Many of their pants are pull up ones with no zipper or buttons. I usually shop this store during their Boxing Day sales. They often have sales for 50% off last ticketed price so I can walk out with a handful of clothes for me or gifts for not much money. There are many change rooms and a sales associate who works in that area so I have rarely had to wait for a room. When it's time to pay, I have never found the line up too long and they are quick and efficient to ring up my purchases. Will shop here again the near future!

This location is huge! It's got a full section for each of average, petite and above average sizes. They've got decent prices and sales. They have a decent range of casual to business casual clothing. I ended up buying a shirt I found on the clearance rack. What impressed me most was at the checkout. They had a display of nylon pouches that were bags all folded up available in four different colors. I thought that was awesome! I love bringing my own bags when I can but just had grocery bags that fold, but don't stay folded too well. This was the solution I was seeking. Now I can just pop my new, reusable bag in my purse and pull it out whenever I feel I need a bag for my purchases. They sell for around $3.

The food court was clean and they have Starbucks, Tim Hortons and McDonalds for coffee options in this mall. Unfortunately there are a lot of independent mish mash stores that seem very empty selling low quality clothing. I have lived by Londonderry Mall my entire life. I've watched it go through many changes and ups &…read moredowns. Before the mall was renovated in 1992, it was very dark and gloomy, but now it's very bright and more modern-looking. The makeover didn't really benefit this mall that much. In fact, in became pretty lame. When Wal-Mart moved here, this brought in tons of traffic, and I would say it's what kept this mall alive. After Wal-Mart left, many great stores closed down, including the GAP. (I still can't forgive them for taking it away from me!) This mall was stagnant for quite some time, but over the past five years, this mall has been slowly improving once again. Some of the best stores are HMV, Sport Chek, Dollarama, Game City, Le Chateau, Payless. Winners, Army & Navy, Coles, Spasation, Shoppers Drug Mart, Purdy's, Save-on-Foods, and The Great Room Company. The Bay is here too, but it's probably the worst one (minimal selection) in the entire city. Oh, and I almost forgot--there's a Library here as well! The mall's food court is the best, since it has big screen TVs, a water wall, and all the fast-food favourites. There's Taco Time, New York Fries, Edo, Booster Juice, Arby's, Orange Julius, Opa!, A&W, and lots more. McDonald's and Second Cup are also in the mall. The customer service area, located in the centre of the mall, is a great place to come for a rest. There's many flat-screen TVs and large comfy chairs and couches. Londonderry Mall has always had a reputation of bringing in many famous people--usually it's something for the kids or a band for the teenagers. When I was a kid, and before the mall was renovated, I saw Richard Simmons! Woohoo. Lucky me. Five years ago, I would have given this mall a two-star rating for sure. Maybe now I am giving it four instead of three, since it's my neighbourhood mall (I'm probably slightly biased), but it has improved considerably. Londonderry Mall is no Kingsway, but it's still pretty awesome.
