I had terrible experience with this place. I was buying from this shop because they were closer to me despite the arrogant owner and not so friendly staff. If any one seen any one of them smile please correct me. Last time I purchased a plain bagel with cream cheese, bagel had a baby roach in it. I realized after biting half of it off. The management refuses to hire a fry cook deli person. So the cashier's have to cook the food. It can literally take 25 minutes to buy half a dozen bagels. Also the advertised hours start at 6am. Having lived in Pelham Manor for over 25 years, I can say that Lenny's has been a very welcome addition to the Four Corners shopping area and neighborhood as a whole; especially with the recent loss of the wonderful Four Corners Bakery nextdoor. My family and I frequently enjoy walking around the block to Lenny's for bagels, iced coffee and pastries, their great assortment of specialty lunch sandwiches and paninis, and now for their new salad bar - it's become a staple in town and a regular part of the daily morning routines for many. Over the last few years since opening this second location of the established Rye Brook bagelry, I've been constantly impressed with their consistent efforts to meet the desires of their new customer base, adjusting and tweak their offerings to cater to the needs of the Pelham Manor community. Their staff is attentive, efficient, and friendly, and on a recent stop in on a hot summers day they even brought out a bowl of water for my dog! We've been going to Lenny's for months every weekend and always had some trouble getting service because they get packed and tend to get your order wrong when busy. However, today for some reason there was a new manager there who decided he would refuse to write down our order and threw us out when we asked to order our entire order at once instead of piece meal. He became belligerent when taking our order, threatened to call the police and berated us for merely trying to place our order. It was the wildest experience I've ever had at a restaurant or shop. There's a heavyset lady with red hair who is extremely rude. I wish I knew her name but they don't wear name tags. Anyways, she was extremely polite to the elderly lady in front of me but when it became my turn she was just nasty. I was picking up and order and she kept telling me my name isn't in the system. Used to order Lenny's Bagels through uber eats now they are on doordash seemless and Grubhub. Boy am I excited. I ordered from them in August and have never looked back. They make the best egg sandwiches and with my family it's become a ritual. We order like 40 to fifty dollars worth of breakfast every Sunday. It's always fresh and delicious. Never a delay and always cooked to perfection. If you order on a Sunday be prepared to wait up to an hour for delivery. For this being in the town that I live in it may obviously be a little different than if I was a person that came here while on vacation or visiting a family member or a friend. This is because there can be very long lines sometimes, which can be on the weekends mostly. The service is decent, they don't take that long, whether if it's long lines or not really busy at all. The wait time can change a little cause of how busy it is or not, but for how busy it is they would probably be on the quicker wait time side than the overall. Their food is amazing! The bagels are great, there drink options have a good variety, and there other sides/treats are also good. For example, Pound cakes, different types of muffins, special bagel types, and rainbow cakes. Lenny's Bagels is a great place to go to, it is great for people who are coming to visit family or friends, or if you're on vacation. Just went in last Thursday early afternoon and got a dozen bagels - then got another 6 more for free because they have a special weekday deal where you get 6 more free when you buy a dozen. The bagels are delicious!! Far and away the best bagels I've found outside of the city. I am giving this 4 rather than 5 stars just because they still aren't quite as good as Essa Bagel in the city -but really really close. So happy to finally have a source of good bagels close to home. Ok, so when Lenny's first opened hey were great. We couldn't get enough of them. Now after the past few months the service and food has been terrible. The wraps have become so chintzy! Went in today and there was more wrap then food inside. They got my bagel order wrong once again and the staff was quite rude and rushed me. If you are taking my money I should get what I order and not with an attitude included. It's a shame because we really did like this place. We will be taking our business elsewhere for a while and hopefully they can fix there problems so that we can give them another chance. Oh, also one more thing please take some of the crap off the counter so you can make eye contact with your customers and have a place to put their orders once filled. We had a painful experience here yesterday. There were 2 people in line before us, one was already paying for his order but we waited 15 minutes just to put our order in with only 1 order in front of us. Once we finally were able to put in our order, the guy taking it ran away before I could even finish telling him what we wanted. He put my egg on the griddle and then disappeared and I watched as my egg burned and another employee finally took it off and put it to the side, asking the other employees if they knew who the egg was for. The guy that took my order finally appeared from the back of the deli and finished my sandwich, asking me again what I wanted because he didn't write it down, and never asked if my boyfriend wanted to order anything (he did want to but ended up not because we had been waiting for 30 minutes). The place was not busy whatsoever. I sat down immediately to eat and I was very disappointed because the eggs were cold, the cheese hadn't melted, and the sausage pattie was really small. The bagel was yummy! But not enough to make it a good sandwich. I've worked at a deli as a cashier and a cook and this place definitely does not know what they're doing as far as their ordering/cooking/paying system goes. There should be one person always able to take orders and put them in, even if the customer waits a bit for their order, at least they can relax and sit or stand to the side to make a smoother and less chaotic process.
