Went in to buy a new driver. After talking with the staff, they suggested getting fitted for a new shaft instead. The experience was awesome and I am so happy with the new shaft and the fact that they didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. The new shaft is easier to keep in play and I have gone back several times since to purchase wedges, balls, and gloves with cash I saved. If you want to improve your game, go see them for a fitting. After making the mistake of buying a custom fitted set of irons from another shop in town, I made my way to Nick at Lenny's. He took the time to adjust the loft/lie on the set I bought elsewhere, and made a recommendation on a driver. The numbers (launch angle, carry distance, deviation from center) were better than the recommendation from the other shop and over $300 less for the shaft/driver head set up. It was the rare experience where you know they understand customer service and when you take great care of people the come back...and I did! I've since replaced my fairway wood, hybrid, driving iron and wedges. I've also shared my great experience with my golf buddies who have all been in to see Nick and the great team at Lenny's. Tried going there to support small business several times. They were rude and seemed annoyed on the phone - okay, maybe they are busy. So we go in person, we needed to buy something as well as rent. The guy seemed irritated that we wanted to buy something and snapped at me that they are primarily a rental shop and walked off to the back. No idea what I did wrong. He didn't even respond to my husband on his request. Covid measures: Mask is required but people were congregating, the shop is pretty small, there is no clear signage. I would not recommend this shop. read more

A true diamond in the rough! A pal of mine took me to Lenny's for lunch today just to drop in and see what they had in stock. The store is really split 50-50 with new vs. used stuff, but boy what bargains are to be found in this little gem. As it is the end of the year they are starting to get a good number of folks trading in their clubs from this year for new sets. This is the perfect time to score a solid deal as I walked away with a barely used King Cobra S9 sand wedge for $30. The staff at Lenny's is great and are very willing to help you find the right gear for your game. The hitting area is rather small, but being able to walk up and hit anything you want without being locked in a cage and searching for a sales person as in most golf stores is refreshing. Skip and his staff this afternoon were great. I've also been told that Lenny's specializes in winter sports as well including skiing and snowboarding. I'm not a cold weather sport person, but good luck with that. With a great location just south of Havana on Parker Road this is my new favorite golf shop. read more

I've had the opposite experience of other folks here. I purchased my first set of golf clubs in like 15 years here, and had great service. Fitting, ordering -- and they cut down the clubs and adjusted the lie angles for me. Also reminded me to come back after a few rounds so they could check on the lie angle to make sure it was where it needed to be. They were super, super helpful. Recently had to get a new 8 iron, and brought it in to adjust like my old clubs, and they did the work in 10 minutes and only charged me $7 for it. Super friendly, did great work, and I'll definitely be shopping here again. read more

I have shopped here a few times. I think the staff are great, they listened to what I wanted and fitted me and helped me get into a set of clubs that are good for me. They gave me the best prices ever. Later I went back to get a second fitting after using my clubs a few times and sure enough, same great experience. I even told them I didn't like the way I was hitting my driver and someone worked with me to get the right swing for my driver. Not once was he trying to get me to buy a new driver or anything else. I would highly recommend this shop to friends. I read some other reviews and have never had this problem, nor have my friends that are more experienced golfers than me. This is a review of the two times my boyfriend and I have gone to Lenny's. The first time was great and I would've given them 5 stars for their customer service and great prices. We'd been looking for a ski jacket for myself and ski goggles for my boyfriend and when we went in to this small, unassuming shop, we were helped immediately by the owner and we found exactly what we needed. No pushy sales and he actually listened to us and brought out gear matching our requirements. This time, however, it was like a 180. My boyfriend went in (based on our first experience) to have his bindings adjusted. The owner made snarky remarks about my boyfriend's older skis and seemed more pushy about making a sale rather than helping his customer. And when we picked up his skis later, the store clerks were rude and also made condescending comments about his older skis and boots. Sorry that we can't all afford brand new gear, but you really shouldn't make customers feel bad about what they do own, especially when they're bringing your small shop business. Every sale counts, you know. And maybe, if we'd had another good experience this time, we would've gone back when he could afford new skis. Not sure what happened to their customer service in the week between our visits, but the workers here need to step it up and keep things consistent if they want customers to return. read more

Bought a set of Callaway Rogue clubs last spring, so less than two seasons of use and my driver snapped in two...took it back to Lenny's and they replaced the shaft and hosel...NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Up until today it was the only place I shoped for my golf stuff Was Lenny's. went to the golf expo but could not find parking. So so decided I would just go out to the shop. They have always treated me right. Not this time. Stood there for about 10 minutes before I started timing my stay. Three employees totally ignored my request for help. Finally after 21 more minutes a short little dude with a beard came up to me and in a very like I'm bothering him tone and asked do you need something??? Really. For the last 4 years I have dropped more than $4000 dollars in that place. Was going to drop another $1000 today. I said well about 30 minutes ago I needed help. Rather than say so sorry for the delay. He says. Do you have an appointment????? I just walked out as he repeatedly told me I needed an appointment. I sponsor and associated with more than 6 to 8 charity golf tournaments every summer and I have always promoted Lennys. Well no more I guess I'll take my business to PGA golf store even though I don't like not supporting the local guys. I understand that's only a 1000 golfers that have my ear. and not a lot of pull. But I will tell them not to go there and it will not probably not hurt their business at all but I will make it a point after the way I was treated to make sure I do everything to steer people away from Lennys. read more

These guys are outstanding. They have fantastic customer service and are true professionals. I worked with John to get my clubs fit, and he transformed my golf game in a matter of a few weeks. I had been spraying shots all over the course and couldn't figure out why. He fit me with a new set of irons that were a great deal and are the perfect club for me. It also turns out, in addition to needing new clubs, there were a few things wrong with my swing. He helped me clear up in about 10 minutes and was a night and day improvement for me when I golfed later that day. And when someone else in the shop fit my woods incorrectly, he was kind enough to fit them properly, and even replaced two of them. Everything I mentioned above he did free of charge. I'm gonna be shouting his name (and this shop) from the rooftops for a long time, and I'm grateful that a shop like this exists. Everyone should check these guys out. read more

A year ago, at the suggestion of friends, I decided to take up golf. They also said Lenny's was the best place to get started. I went in by myself and explained to the two salesmen my situation and that I was willing to spend whatever was necessary to put myself in the best situation to learn to golf well as soon as possible. I was expecting to spend about $1500.00 or more. They refused to let me do that! They explained that the more expensive sets would actually be much harder to learn with and that I would be much better served and happier with a set they selected for me. They also had the right shoes for my extremely wide feet. I ended up spending less than $600.00 and I could not be happier. I now have a respectable golf game and at their suggestion I used the money on lessons with a PGA pro they referred me to, and I get lots of compliments on my game. I am having much fun with what can be a very frustrating game, all thanks to Lenny's advice and direction. read more

First let me say there was some staff that was super helpful. However, my husband and I brought our snowboards to be tuned and it was terrible. I honestly don't think they did anything expect splash wax on it. There were chunks all over both boards. I've never had such a bad tuning job. When I called and asked for them to be redone or our money back a staff member told me if I left with the boards it was my problem. We were incredibly sad because we buy all our golf equipment there and now we have to find a new place. read more

Went in to have my golf club grips replaced. The guy from Lenny's didn't ask any questions or measure my grip, just gave me a standard. I asked the guys replacing the grips to make sure of the size. Even after asking they put the wrong size grips on my clubs. Playing with them yesterday it was obvious they were too small. Went back to Lenny's and all I received was an argument. I'll never see the inside of Lenny's again. It's a shame because when Lenny was there and running things I had no problems. Do yourself a favor and use someone else for your club fittings and purchases. They don't care and don't ask questions to know the difference. read more

Jon at Lenny's listened to me when I came in and told him my situation. I've played golf for at least ten years, but have always had an issue with my short game. He was very helpful and patient during my fitting for new clubs. I would recommend him to anyone thinking about getting a new set. As he told me " buying any set of clubs is like buying a new pair of ski boots 5 sizes too big". It will not help your game. This place has good priced ski rentals and decent quality skis. Main issue is the whole place is 15 years behind the times, feels like a 'good ole boys' club. If your not a middle aged male or a regular you don't exactly get a warm welcome. I understand it's more of a hole in the wall place and I like to support local businesses like this but they just don't offer the basic retail experience of being welcoming in a professional manner. read more

I went in for a club fitting (my first time ever buying a full set + fittings) and the staff was great. I started the fitting and before they even let me swing a club, they looked at my swing and actually helped me with / Improved my swing with a couple different drills. Then once I had my swing the way it needed to be, we began the actual fitting. They were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and the prices are great as well. The only place I will ever go for new clubs or equipment as long as I'm in Colorado. And saying something because I live over an hour away. read more

Holy moley. I had a fitting elsewhere, but they didn't carry PXG. Went to Mike to hit PXG irons, and he was great. The fitting was comprehensive, covering a couple extra things. I ended up buying a different set from Mike. He threw in some extras to cover the cost of custom grips not provided by TaylorMade, and will stand behind and adjust each club after I get them and play them. All for the standard big box cost. You cannot beat that anywhere. If you try, you end up paying triple at a place like Club Champion. Amazing. Great peeps! read more

The service at this establishment is outstanding. They treat their customers as if they care. This is the only place you should go for rentals or tuning. I always go here first for equipment, they don't always have the biggest inventory but they have enough to offer a couple of options. Their prices are much better than the resort owned mega stores. Love the deals you can get on used clubs and the ability to hit shots into the net with a bunch of clubs you are considering adding to your bag. While there has been some mixed reviews about their experience here at Lennys renting skis. And given that I'm a very impatient person anyway I was planning to tip the attendant ahead of time just so we could get some needed attention as we are novices and just moved to Colorado. However right off the bat the young guy who usually works the front helped us with our boots and they fit amazingly don't know his name but he skis at Loveland mostly. Then we went over to the ski fitting and the tall guy about 6'3" helped us out was very friendly and informative and we feel great about the experience. In fact coming back from that great experience at Lennys we are very excited about the ski season and hope we get a lot of snow. And yes I did tip them at the end and so should you because it was a great experience and this is where you should rent skis. I'll do a follow up on how the skis work but that probably has to do with operator expertise. read more

I rented skis from here Lenny's my whole first season. Since, I've purchase my own. Every time I have a friend in town we rent from here. The prices are great and the customer service is even better. They have been flexible several times with my friends and I, in terms of staying open a little later because we couldn't get there in time to turning in our skis a little later and not charging us for a full day. Great club-fitting shop. Definitely ask for Mike - he listens to what you're looking for, watches you swing, suggests some potential good fits, finds your right lie, right shaft stiffness and right length, and doesn't pressure you to buy. I ended up with a customized Taylor Made Burner set thanks to him. If you care to improve your game, 1. get some good lessons, and 2. get a set of clubs customized to your swing. Lenny's doesn't upcharge for customized sets - "we don't send anyone away from this place without a set of clubs that fit their swing." Never worked with THE Lenny, but the other young golf shop guys don't appear to be nearly as good as Mike. read more

We needed skis for the Friday before President's Weekend. Lenny's was able to fit my four kids quickly and we were in our way. We had an amazing day of skiing, in part due to my kids being very comfortable in their boots. Drove over an hour out of my way to Lenny's in search of a new set of irons, a sand wedge and putter after taking a decade off of golf. I was on a budget and only found out about the place from reading positive reviews online. I can attest that the positive reviews are legit - going to Lenny's was a great decision! Charlie got me fit well, I walked away feeling good about what I paid, and I actually walked out of the shop with clubs in hand that same day. I ended up getting a good deal on a set of irons that were models from a couple years prior (but still new), and bought a used putter and wedge. Tomorrow I will go back to check in with Charlie and see where I'm at - potentially making some adjustments to my set and/or filling in some yardage gaps - after golfing for a couple months with my new clubs.
