Lenox Hill Laser Esthetic is a true gem. Last week I had the pleasure of meeting with Alvina for a sculpture treatment on my love handle area. I cannot honestly comment on the effectiveness of the treatment yet since it's only been 3 days but I truly feel like there will be improvement. I went with 6 panels on my sides for 25 minutes and the whole time Alvina was there talking me though, sharing stories and just being her amazing self pulling out all the bells and whistles trying to distract me from any discomfort talking about life, family, food as well as teaching me about other available treatments. The experience I had with Alvina was the most disorganized, most frustrating I've had with any esthetician. I came in with a friend to do a laser treatment procedure already purchased through a third party affiliate (not Groupon). She suggested I do another more aggressive treatment, which I was hesitant on. She noticed my hesitation yet continued to be very pushy in selling it, so much so I felt I had to walk out of her office because she was screaming at me and my friend, basically being extremely degrading and claiming we were wasting her time with asking more questions. My friend and I were mortified. Never before had we experienced such unaccommodating service for no reason. Since we paid and made the trip uptown, I walked back into the office and asked to do the procedure I paid for, she told me to then pay her an extra fee for service charges, which was not stated in the fine print nor had I ever had to pay for these charges at other salons nor had she mentioned them in our initial discussion. She subsequently started alternatively speaking to her secretary in a foreign language (trash talking me and my friend because she was making hand gestures at me) then raising her voice at me in English. In summary, I was so uncomfortable, I didn't trust her to do a good job so finally decided to just eat the charge and leave altogether. read more

Learned about this place through Groupon. First visit Alvina was more welcoming, nice but, VERY pushy which made it for a, not so relaxing time but, no problem. The Vi peel was good because there were some results. We had to come in for our second Vi peel & free microdermabrasion. Well she did not know how to either use the microdermabrasion machine or it was old because at the end of the free microdermabrasion we had cuts all over our faces, neck & hands where she passed the machine. When it came to our second Vi peel, she wasn't as welcoming, still very pushy & she applied very little to no product & the results were non existent, there were literally zero results which was weird because our first visit, results were good. This is Alvinas way of making you come back & I think it's totally unfair. Also, regardless of your appt if she has other clients which whom she is more familiar with, she'll have you wait & call them in first. She isn't a real esthetician as we did not notice any type of certifications or anything so, overall not the best experience & will never go back. Another thing she literally doesn't stop mentioning to write a great review for her... hence, the great reviews but, go in & I promise with a Groupon & your second visit, you'll feel like a second class citizen. read more

Ladies & gentlemen in order to see results we need "maintain" regiment. This treatment does wonders for everyone!!Alvina's expertise, suggested this program plus facial products to enhance improvement of my epidermis further. We added in Laser Genesis last month, March & April. This also further improves results++!! After 4 Vi peels and Vi Plus Peel-my favorite, Alvina's nurtured my skin to point where it's tighter, brighter & glows! Since my melisma is 90% gone, Alvina suggested doing peels every other month. No way! Vi peel every month. Benefits are astounding. I will not always peel but will help collagen production!?! Its a no brained folks. I get super* service at a modest price. The office is clean, impeccable, professional...list goes on. 110%+ believe in Alvina's technique & abilities. Obviously, results in everyone's skin varies. However if diligent & maintain regiment, results will come. I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere because Alvina is the expert. When you walk into the office its buzzing w people, phones ringing, & at times no place to sit. This is an excellent sign. Busy means Alvina knows her craft. Her technique & attitude pure gold! Purchased a Vi-Peel with microdermabrasion through Groupon. First visit was ok, results were visible on the skin though throughout the entire session Alvina kept mentioning how we were "lucky" that we were receiving a $500 service for $180... She recommended that we purchase another Vi peel & micro so we did. The second time around service was despicable. Alvin seemed to put absolutely no solution on to the skin and of course there were absolutely no results at all, on top of that after going in for the microdermabrasion she cut and scratched up our faces, hands and neck! It seemed as though we were attacked by cats! I usually do not write reviews but, the service was absolutely horrible. Upon doing research Alvina is not even a licensed esthetician which explains why she cut us up so badly when performing the microdermabrasion. Alvin is slick in giving you a decent service the 1st time around that makes you come back the second time only to waste time, money and leave disappointed. You're better going elsewhere and never looking to this place that isn't even a spa. read more
