I always have a positive experience at the 1014 Brooklyn Avenue location. The staff at the front desk are always polite. In addition, the sonogram tech (Kay) and mammogram tech (I can't remember her name) are amazing. They make you feel comfortable even when you are very nervous about the test. I had a very frustrating experience at Lenox Hill Radiology. I arrived at 2:10 PM and was told by the front desk staff that they could schedule my appointment for 3:20 PM. I specifically asked how long it would take because my mom had to leave for work by 4:20. The front desk assured me it would only be about 5 minutes after they called her, so we agreed to wait. At 3:20, I asked if it was our turn, and the woman inside told me there were still 5 people ahead of us. I went back to the front desk, and they just said there was nothing they could do. When I reminded them that my mom had to go to work and that we wouldn't have waited if they'd told us the truth, they didn't seem to care at all. This was extremely unprofessional and showed a total lack of respect for patients' time and needs. We won't be coming back. read more

The wait time here is horrendous! Although you have a scheduled appointment, expect to be waiting for at least an hour before you're called despite the type of scan you're there for. If you don't have an actual referral from your doctor, expect to have a bad experience because your appointment will be delayed. The facility is clean and the bathroom is not filthy. The radiation techs are pretty friendly overall. The images and reports are made available to you within days. In some cases, you're able to obtain your CD approximately 15-20 mins after the conclusion of your scan. read more

I've come to this location several times because it's conveniently 10 min from my home, however I always leave very frustrated. I always have an appointment before coming yet I have always waited between 3-5 hours before being seen. I've never experienced any of the workers being rude n any way but clearly the location is always overbooked or understaffed. I don't believe getting a simple X-ray should take as long as my going to the DMV. Each time I come here I lose an entire day of work. This facility is located in downtown Brooklyn 9 Bond Stree. These are the slowest people I have ever encountered to get an X-Ray you can't make an appointment it's first come first serv. I arrived at 9:50am it is now 12:10pm they finally registered me at 11:45am. The staff are unprofessional and could care less that people are just sitting around for hour. The X-Ray techs move at a snail's pace taking 1 person every 35 to 50 minutes this is insane don't come here. read more

Easily the worst experience I have had at a medical facility. This place is poorly run, has poor customer service, and has no respect for their patients' time. My fiancés MRI appointment was scheduled for 3:00pm on Jan 16. He was not seen until 5:20pm. We waited in the waiting area for 2.5 hrs without any notice from the receptionist, managers, or technician on the wait -- this is unacceptable. When we finally asked what the issue was, they informed us that they were backed up due to a morning technician's issue. If they knew they were going to be behind schedule, why didn't they inform their patients so we did not arrive on time and waste our entire afternoon in their facility? I will never return to this place and I highly recommend that no other person trusts this place with their health. The people of Brooklyn deserve SO MUCH BETTER than what this place can offer. read more

I have been to this branch of lenox hill maybe a dozen times and I am writing this review as I wait for a 12 o'clock appointment and it it is 12:45. There is the first massive complaint- no one, no patient certainly deserves to be treated this way and it is ALWAYs this way. For the first six or seven times of experiencing such disrespect for my time, I realized I had to bring my work to this waiting room because a fifteen minute exam will take at least an hour and a half in waiting. Consider your entire afternoon gone if you have an appointment here. That said, the facility is clean, and the staff is kind and knowledgeable and dedicated to your care. I guess things became painfully apparent for me when I visited a lenox hill in the east side in Manhattan- the difference was night and day. The place was physically pleasant and comfortable- it looked more like a hotel with designer chandeliers and velvet sofas and armchairs. My jaw dropped. I signed in and took a seat next to a lamp and coffee table where I was able to rest my drink and crack open my enormous book which I always bring to these appointments, anticipating a huge wait time. I was called in after six minutes!! The facility was not only clean but unlike the Brooklyn location, elegantly appointed. There were no post mammogram nipple stickers on the changing room doors as in Brooklyn. The whole feel was calm and elegant- no television set blaring daytime game shows. The place presumed your elegance, your intelligence and valued your time. So really, what makes me sad about the Brooklyn avenue branch is how it treats a clientele of vastly majority people of color. It is suspicious and heartbreaking. Again- the staff is professional and caring. They are clearly understaffed. It's now 12:55- I have still not been called for a simple DEXA scan. Also if you are driving here, parking is street only and atrocious. I had literally no choice but to park during streetcleaning - I expect a ticket and consider it part of the cost of a health visit in Brooklyn where there are no parking lots for health service providers. read more

When you first come in, no one is helpful. It's not clear where to go or who to speak to to check in and get help. This was my first time here and my first time getting a mammogram so I was already anxious. The lady at the first window was so rude and nasty. I was trying to ask her where to go and she told me I can go talk to someone else so rudely. When I got everything done it was quick. That's the only reason for the one star. The rundown from my second visit (and hopefully last visit for a while): 12:12pm - I walked in and signed up on the appointment-only clipboard for my 12:45pm appointment. 12:38pm - reception called me up to complete paperwork at window 4 12:53pm - I was called to the back x-ray rooms with several other patients, ask to put on one of those gowns [that never fit me] and sit in a waiting area with the others 1:27pm - I was called into an x-ray room so the technician could do her thing. 1:37pm - I left the x-ray room with a souvenir, mammogram pasties. I'm not sure what the hold up was during my first visit, especially since there weren't as many people on that day than on the day of this visit, but I'm happy to post this update. I mean, I'd like to think that my legs have helped me get around in life more than my breasts might have, so I would've preferred my first exam to have been as speedy as this one. But you can't have everything, I guess. And mammograms have to do with detecting cancer, so I do appreciate the mindfulness of those making sure me and the other women didn't have to wait for our mammograms like I did for my knee x-ray last week. Waited over 3 hours for my appointment. So many people inside at once it was bad. I was very uncomfortable. I'll never go back. All the people there with me were pissed off because of the long wait times. They clearly overbooked. Thankfully most people I saw wore their masks correctly, but it still felt weird. Even the wait time was longer than usual when you go to radiology, the service was really good. Everyone worked professional , place is clean. But my main reason for this review is one special person on the staff. Elsie Costa. She is a site manager at this location. She just was the one of the clerks who checked me in when I arrived. We just spoke a little and I asked her how much longer it will be, I needed to leave soon. After I was done, she saw me leaving and asked if I got the results of my test. When I told her that it will take 3 business days and I was worried, she just ran to the radiologist to ask if my results were ok. She new it was my birthday and with the weekend coming up, my results will take longer. She came back with thank god normal results and told me to celebrate my bday without worries. I just want to say, that that maid my day!!!! So I just want to say , that I wish that world would have more people like Elsie. It's a small gesture, but it's huge!!!!! I was overwhelmed. My appointment time was at 330pm. At 415pm I asked one of the ladies does it usually take this long, and she didn't even look at me and said well there's only one person dealing with appointments. It is now almost 530pm and I am still sitting here waiting to be seen and I had an appt for 330pm. What was the point. I don't know if other imaging offices are like this but this is absolutely ridiculous and I would never come back here. I actually forgot that this place took so long. like wow....just i came nice and quietly follow the instructions we they have post it all over the places so i did sign in which at 140pm so its 231pm i just got check in when i ask why wasnt i check in all this time they reply they didn't see the pad to sign in which was right there in front of them but each in everyone behind that desk know where they phones were cause they was all glue to the damn phones!!! i mean come on your at work people don't make appointments to see the doctor and come and lounges to fool around so if 4 of ur workers that are behind the desk are too busy on their phone when its not even busy in here something needs to change!!! read more

This company obviously does not care about the health of the people attempting to use their service. It's important to keep in mind that not everyone is there for the same service, so if you are there for a mamo and so are 10 others, you will have a longer wait. I can't speak for the quality of their imaging services, I'm sure it's fine. However, the first time I went in for an ultrasound the fax of my referral couldn't be received-- once it had gotten in, I was not called and had already walked home.
