I needed official doctor's lines filled out for work and a pain injection. My specific pain injection type was available. The doctor was gentle with the jab and he filled out my forms. Please note that this facility often has the official doctor's lines for MTA employees if you forget to bring your own. This is a good place. Grateful to have it in my neighborhood.

The desk staff was friendlier under Statcare the new staff are mostly fine but one employee after seeing my NYS Driver Licebse, walks away with it and refuse to give it back before she can confirm my appointment with my primart care physician. My treatment remains the same but one new employee and the new website under Nao Medical have been less than optimal. The old site had issues but this site will not allow me to pre-register; it does not provide appointment information but patients now suffer intolerable phone calls where caller follows a script and will not answer questions that are not on on the script they read from. I have since received bills for something I am not aware of. I have received no special treatment only what I have received in the past yet I am receiving bills. The most recent I believe is $836.00 which makes no sense. The old patient portal had difficulties but at least it was helpful this new system is all about billing period. I may likely have to take legal action against this fraudulent billing practice.

They stayed late to complete the care since they closed at 11pm, we left around 11:30pm. This was the only urgent care in our area open this late. The bad: We had an appointment at 9:45 but waited until 10:45 to see the doctor. There was only 1 doctor there, he was treating 1 patient when we arrived and there was 1 patient in front of us. The two nurses at the front desk were extremely unprofessional. When we arrived they still had 1:15 left for their shift and were already loudly complaining to each other how they couldn't wait to go home. The one nurse set up the station in the care room for the stitches and did not wear gloves or wash her hands before touching equipment. They left right at 11pm and left the doctor alone with us for the remainder of the care. The next day my partner needed to pick up antibiotics that they said would be ready. When he arrived he found out they cancelled the prescription without informing him. He called Chai care and they said they would send it to a different pharmacy, but they never did. They closed early for the day (summer Friday schedule) and never followed up before closing. My partner ended up having to do a telehealth appointment elsewhere to get a new prescription in time

The check-in process was quick, the wait time was reasonable, and the front desk staff was genuinely kind and attentive. NP Tammy was incredible she made me feel seen, heard, and cared for. Her bedside manner was so comforting, and the level of care felt just like seeing my regular PCP. Cons: * Wait times are hit or miss- either 20 min to 1.5 hr! * They don't allow cell phones, so bring magazines or e-books. * They are very strict on being a clinic that does NOT administer travel vaccines. So don't mention the word "travel" in the staff's presence or they will correct you immediately. I came back again to try and get a Hepatitis A vaccine shot for an upcoming trip to India, but got turned away because it was only for "high risk adults through age 59." He was repeatedly neglected by staff by not giving him the pain medication in a timely manner, left in a hot, poorly ventilated room with no working air conditioning on that 3rd floor, and denied basic requests like ice water to relieve himself from the heat for hours. Staff also left unused medical equipment (syringes and needles) on his eating table, creating a serious health hazard. At one point, he was locked in a room with an irate dementia patient after the nurse walked out, held the door closed and refused to open the door -- even as my father yelled and banged on the wall for help. Visitors, including his wheelchair bound family member, had to beg staff to take action. Overall, his care was marked by neglect, unsafe conditions, and a lack of respect or urgency from hospital staff. No patient -- especially a vulnerable one -- should be treated this way.
