I stopped in on a recent trip to the Gatlinburg area, because I was hoping to find more Pfaltzgraff…read moreitems. Unfortunately, they did not have many Pfaltzgraff items to choose from, and the ones there were extremely overpriced. I don't mean like $2-$5 over, I'm talking 2-3 times what the item is truly valued at, and these weren't rare pieces at all. Not only that, but the entire inside of the place was on the dim side and dirty or dusty. The worst was gathering about $200+ of sub-par merchandise and getting up to the register where a "new" employee was, to have her tell us that their credit card system was down and we'd need to pay cash, even though they have a sign on their front door indicating they take credit and debit cards. It just seemed VERY sketchy and like she pulled a switch bait on us because she didn't mention that issue when we first walked in, and didn't warn any other customers either. She claimed she didn't know how to fix it since she was new, and couldn't get a hold of her boss to fix it, so she took my name and number down to let me know when it would be working again because she wasn't sure how long it would be down for. Funny thing is- she called and texted me within 5 minutes of me leaving the store to tell me she got in touch with her boss who fixed the issue and that I could go pick everything up any time. It felt super sketchy, I didn't like the dishonesty, and I wasn't able to go back anyhow to pick up my items before leaving town again. I don't recommend people spend their hard earned money here, especially if you're looking for "rare" Pfaltzgraff items because you just won't find them here, and they certainly won't be in good condition nor worth their asking price if you do find them here.

They are the most perfect, double-walled, thick plastic tumblers and mugs for enjoying your drink at whatever temp your heart desires. I grew up with these for trips to the lake and sipping on drinks that stayed cold seemingly forever. We use them daily for cocktails, ice water, and iced coffee. They are dishwasher-friendly and durable enough for kids, too. This location had so many differing sizes and designs of tumblers and handled mugs, including a bunch of options with kid characters. Lids of all kinds and colors with the openings for both sipping or a straw(which they also sell their version here). I recommend the lid with the sip opening because you can use it with a straw or sip through it. I always appreciate options. If you want one that fits in your car cup holder, definitely opt for the smaller, 16 oz. version. Many may say that these cups are pricey, but with how durable they are and how much you will inevitably use them...SO worth it. The workers here gave us several 20% off coupons, too, which can be used in-store or online. Cheers!

However, I LOVE being able to come into this amazing-smelling shop, look at, feel, and smell all of the locally-sourced products from local vendors and distributors. There is nothing like customizing your own home and skin care products, which are made with natural ingredients that are not only good for you but good for the planet. You can bring in your own clean, empty containers (just have them weighed at the counter before adding a product). Or they have a variety of neutral containers for you to choose from in-shop that have already been weighed. Pick your product and scent, fill 'er up, and then bring it to the counter to be weighed. I purchased hand soap and one of their containers and it was approximately $15. Most of that cost was a 1-time purchase of the bottle, which I will reuse next time. They have makeup, jewelry, kid products, cooking tools, reused/branded clothing, a sustainability library, teas, granolas, laundry/dish/hand soaps, shampoo, and the coolest toothpaste tablets (whatttt?!).
