I've only ever had great service from Len's ApplIance Services. They first came out to repair my oven last year. it's a great older Viking that just needed some tlc. Today they came to change out my burners on my stove and service my Viking refrigerator. They arrived totally prepared, professional, gicing me a clear time they were coming. Thankfully PC Richards is a stand up company but Len's took months and ignored my calls, stalled and never returned my appliance they took to fix. Len's Appliance caused me to waste hours of my time calling and chasing them down. They lied to me repeatedly and never repaired my item but left me without an appliance for months. I was connected to this company through PC Richard & Son's repair service. They first scheduled me on 10/24/25 for a repair and confirmed that receipt of my building's required COI while on the phone on 10/21/25. However, I followed up the morning of the appointment day as I didn't receive their COI and didn't get a response. I received a text from the technician to ask if they could come between 12pm - 2pm and then I called the company to ask about the COI (as they wouldn't be allowed in the building without it), then they first denied receiving it and later told me their insurance wasn't high enough, that they needed a "blank form," and that they could try it. I didn't receive the completed forms until 3pm (noticed that it was after their technician's scheduled window). They rescheduled me to 11/5. They no-showed. I called today and they said they never rescheduled me. Now they scheduled me again to 11/12. I will be calling PC Richard & Son to provide this feedback but let's see if they show up. They're very disorganized and irresponsible and try to gaslight you every step of the way (e.g., denial first and come back to say something else). Be aware! read more

Very dissatisfied after three visits, multiples calls and texts, and a message from an owner who tells me to call back but not to leave a voicemail because he doesn't check them. They have no problem taking $1000 but they were incapable of fixing my ice maker. read more

After noticing a problem with our Viking oven, I called Len's, got through right away, and they scheduled a technician to come out the next business day. I received a call the day of and Alex, the technician was quick to diagnose a few key issues and has ordered parts. Avoid Lens Appliance, such a disappointing experience with them. Despite their assurances of a thorough repair, they failed to identify the full problem with my dryer machine. Instead, they only addressed a partial issue, resulting in a repair cost of over $700, after one and a half month, the issue happened again. The root cause of the problem was not fixed, meaning the replaced part could break again, potentially leading to even more expenses. In fact, the overall repair cost could end up being more than the price of a new machine. If the full extent of the issues had been identified from the start, I would never have agreed to the repair. I sent a feedback and asked them what we could do, first they mentioned they will ask their manager but ended up with no response. These guys are terrible. They first missed the appointment so had to reschedule and that took a while. Then they came and diagnosed the issue but still have not given me a sense of how to fix the issue. They came out to look at our appliance and i had to call back multiple times, to be put on hold, to listen to a confused admin staff, unable to give me an update or tell me how to fix the issue. Worked with Len's to diagnose some appliance issues in my condo. Pros: - James was able to fix some issues with our washer and suggest next steps with our dryer. - Diagnosis costs $$ but it applies towards overall repairs - Receptionist is great Cons: - The diagnoses were surface-level and the issues still persist - The repairman quickly suggested replacing the spark-module on our stove to fix our burners. I found some service manuals and videos online so I did that myself and it didn't help. Now I'm wondering, if I forked over the cost to have Len's come and do it, would that money have been a total waste? Beware of quick diagnoses - Receptionist is overworked and you'll be on hold for a while - You don't get a time window. You're supposed to get a call morning-of for when the tech will arrive. Our call didn't come until later in the day. If you can't be at home all day you are going to have a hard time coordinating the visit Overall takeaway is: if your issue is really obvious and you can spend the day waiting for the arrival then go for it but otherwise there are plenty of businesses that are more responsive and will spend more care in diagnosing your appliances. read more

Jimmy from Len's appliance was able to find the trouble and order the parts that I needed for repair. He came back with parts in a couple of days and changed out the board. He checked all the functions of my Viking stove to make sure the stove was working properly and even checked the temperatures to see if it was correct. This is a review not of their repair capability but of their appointment process, which makes it virtually impossible to schedule oneself to be available for their arrival unless you have zero to do for an entire day. A very very frustrating process. Not only do you not get told the arrival 'window' of 2 or 3 hours when you make the appointment, you are not even told what half of the day they are going to come. You are told you will get a call on the very day of the appointment and then only to give you the window. And when does that all-important call come? 8AM when most Manhattan dispatching gets done and I can maybe patch together my own day's schedule? Nope, when I called shortly after 9AM to find out what was up, I was told they didn't know when they were coming and the call wouldn't come until between 9:30 and 10:30!! So how can the repair crew ever show up for a 9AM first appointment if they don't even alert you until 10:30?? They can't and don't. "The crews don't go out until about 10:30... ." That's a job I want. This makes the old Time Warner appointments seem blissful in comparison. I am hopeful (and no reason to doubt) the quality of the repair itself will be the opposite of Len's appointment process. Will report back on that. _____ Repair review update: 12-2pm window. 2:10 we get a call from the tech that says he is 20 minutes away, and indeed he shows up 20 minutes later. Jose. Good man. Clear, explanatory, efficient. Did a very good job, was concerned with site protection and that we understood what each failed part in the fridge/freezer did and why it failed. I liked him a lot. The repair was excellent. So great repairs, lousy scheduling. I did suggest to the office after calling them at 1:55 only to learn that they had no idea where the tech was or when he would be arriving, that having the techs themselves -- while on the road and doing their repair work -- also serve as customer communicators and real-time schedulers while allowing the office staff to remain uninformed and unable to answer the clients schedule questions seems like a system designed to fail. All customer communication should be through the office: tech to office; office to customer; customer to office, so that one 'person' would be the source of real information and have the time to make and receive phone calls. Im so sad to write such a bad review about this business because there are a few genuinely nice people associated with this business, but from showing up 7 hours late for appointments, to the fact that one of their employees completely destroyed the floors in my rental apartment causing not only the floors to buckle up, but also a serious mold health hazard, I just had to share how terrible Len's Appliance is. Firstly - they just wont ever show up on time. They promise the repairman will call you in the morning, but he never does (I have had 3 separate appointments with them and not one has been on schedule even after waiting weeks for them to come.) They even rescheduled completely on one occasion after I had already waited for hours. oops - your time just isnt valuable to them. The repair man felt so bad that when I asked him to look at the water filtration system on the refrigerator he offered to fix it for free. I asked repeatedly "Are you sure it isnt leaking?" and I told him I had seen water damage in numerous other apartments in my building and someone had mentioned it might be the water filtration system, but he assured me it was not leaking. I was so happy that I tipped him $20 for turning on the water (this took less than a minute) but when I came home that night there was water all over the living room floors. After I shut the water off, I called them frantically, begging for the repair man to call me back because I was scared that somehow it was still leaking. THEY NEVER RETURNED MY CALL but my super was nice enough to check the water line for me to make sure I had turned it off properly. Weeks later when they finally come to assess the refrigerator it becomes apparent that there was a part leaking on the refrigerator. The appliance repair man never bothered to check the actual appliance when he turned in on even after I cautioned him that I was afraid of leaking issues. While he was testing the appliance he let more water flow into the floorboards. I asked - dont you think there should be a pan under there or something? Noooooo and within another few days now there was a new part of the floor buckling up. Are you kidding me? The guy made a video of the leak and sends it to me for my landlord without even wiping up the new water on the floor he created while turning the water back on. I called them to complain and it took 3 weeks for them to call me back just to tell me they wouldnt do anything. A decent company would have at least offered to replace the leaking part for free - right? My landlord has used them for various repairs in all of their units for years and they cant even offer a little consideration in return for all of the problems their laziness caused? Honestly - I wasnt even going to write a review because they have nice employees but why bother calling me after 3 weeks if you arent even going to offer sympathy or a small consideration?? This water created such an issue that I literally have to move out of my apartment while they make repairs to the floors costing all of us thousands of dollars. Fast, clean, efficient repair service. Arrived on time to repair a Viking burner. The repairman was friendly & prepared, had the correct part and installed it in under 10 minutes. He showed me why the burner failed to ignite & reassured me it was fixed. The problem was due to a broken ceramic piece that ignites the gas. The range is now safe to use, works like new. There comes a time in every appliance's life that things start breaking down and the end seems nigh. A decision is then made, should I try to revive this appliance or just buy a new one? If you decide you are all about revival, Len's is the place to call. We had a perfect refrigerator. Looked nice. Clean inside. Fit perfectly in the space. Sadly it just couldn't keep it's insides cold. My wife and I went back and forth deciding if a new fridge was the way to go. We measured, researched, and measured again. We then waited, hoping the fridge would start working better. When it became apparent that all hope was lost, and we couldn't find the perfect replacement, we reached out to Len's Appliance. Len's was able to troubleshoot the problem and find the elusive cause, a failing compressor. Luckily they had the part in stock and were able to schedule a time perfect for us. After the work, and the impressively thorough testing, our fridge was revived! Cooling down all its insides again to the perfect temperature. We really appreciate all of Len's hard work and time spent on their end working with our schedule. Friday AM they text to say they're sending a technician and "by the way it's $275 flat rate for mechanic to get there, and additional $275 for each hour." $550 with no guarantee the AC would be fixed? and based on reviews they don't always fix the problem the first time. scam. read more

As someone else noted they are very busy, so sometimes you have to keep calling but their customer service was always friendly and helpful. Shortly after I scheduled a washer repair, my dishwasher broke and instead of making make two appointments they sent a repairman (Antony) who could repair both, which he did quickly. Working with the team at Len's was a pleasant efficient experience. My issue was a "simple" one: The handle on my Bosch Microwave was loose. Being handy myself I could not figure out how to tighten it. No You-Tube instructions and nothing in the manual. Len's was recommend to me by another repair service. I called spoke with the pleasant Janet. An appointment was made and ON TIME Alex showed up. Well... the door had to be dismantled completely; no screws, the door is constructed with "plastic clips" difficult to access. Alex took his time and with his patience completed the process. Eek! Methinks not, is right. Our $4,000 Liebherr refrigerator has had it rough. Just over a year old and still under warranty, the freezer, the refrigerator, and even the ice maker have seen better days and yet, Len's Appliance can do no right. Contracted by Liebherr, they've made several house calls -- first, to fix the freezer. 2 days later, said fixed freezer stops working. Second, to fix the freezer and refrigerator. Tada, BOTH work until we noticed the ice maker was no longer making ice. Oh, and the freezer is now at 8 degrees. Much too high to actually freeze anything, ya think? We've been patient, understanding that Tuesdays are the only days the Len's technicians are able to make it over and even more patient waiting for parts, which arrived later than expected; but again, we were understanding and remained on good terms. Our patience is now strained because our technician who was suppose to make another house call today (Friday) lied to his manager at Len's Appliance, saying he was waiting outside our apartment and we weren't home. This is the SAME technician that called us early this morning telling us he would have to let us know later today what time he'd be able to make it. SHADY BUSINESS. The fact that today is Friday and not Tuesday, we realize an exception was made. After so many house calls, you'd think a company providing a service would be so accommodating... and we really thought they were. However, why lie? If you can't make it, what other choice do I have but to wait anyway. Liebherr needs to make better refrigerators and they also need better third party repair peoples. read more

All three of my major kitchen appliances went on the fritz the same week. Granted, all of them were built by their manufacturer and installed in 2009 but for all of them to collapse on me within seven days? So, I called Len's Appliance (my sister-in-law's referred them) and made an appointment. Anthony showed up this morning right on time and repaired the door of my microwave, found the source of the "knocking" at the back of my frig, and showed me the problem with my dishwasher door (door cables and springs stretched out by time and frequent use). I will be getting a quote on that repair. He was pleasant, professional, thorough, and neat. In fact, he helped me clean behind the frig before he moved it back into position and left. He gave me good advice on the distance the back of my frig should be from the wall that that overheating would not become a problem in the future. They sent Anthony, who is really nice and professional.Anthony diagnosed right away that my Liebherr fridge needs a replacement of a certain part and gave me a quote for both the part and the labor fee that will be charge for the 2nd visit, which is reasonable. Then I started to receive multiple calls from Lens from different people with different quotes! After communicating with them for over a week, they gave me a final quote that is more than 2 times of what Anthony originally said! With tips, replacement fee and labor fee, I had to pay almost 1000 dollars for a minor issue! read more

When they came to repair it, not only did they leave without fixing the washing machine (which I had paid for in advance) but also broke the venting that connected to my dryer! After weeks of back and forth, they finally came back to repair the washing machine (refusing to take responsibility for breaking my venting) and once again left without completing the work! I realized they are severely understaffed and consistently overpromise on their timelines. It has now been nearly 3 months since I first engaged Len's for this job. I've had to call them every day and each time only receive more excuses and more delays to the point where I am still haggling with the owner of the business, Elliot, for them to repair the washing machine, which I already paid exorbitant amounts for! Not knowing who to contact, I found Len's through a recommendation from a nearby appliance store. I've used Len's three times over the course of the past couple years, and I'd highly recommend them. I've called on them for three different things: dishwasher, dryer, clothes washer. Each time, the technician arrived as scheduled, diagnosed and repaired the problem on the spot--in under an hour each time, and even gave me some lessons on how to avoid problems in the future (and thus negate the need to call them in). With appliance repair, one thing I worry about is that the technician might over-diagnose, i.e. make me spend a lot of money on something that, in reality, doesn't require a whole lot of work. In the case of Len's, they had ample opportunity to do that. Yet, each time, they honestly assessed the problem as something they could fix easily--and not lie to me about a need for parts, repeat visits, etc. Fundamental, yes, but not to be taken for granted. Their standard fees are reasonable. They do have minimums, but not out of line, in my judgment. Also, they were up front about fees--letting me know the costs at the time I made the appointment. Their technicians are professional and friendly. Patient to explain the problem and teach me about proper care of the appliances; I appreciate that. And also respectful of my apartment--careful not to make messes, etc. I do have one complaint, but it's a complaint that applies to virtually ALL home services: Their scheduled visit times are too broad. I had my latest visit from Len's today. But I was told only that the technician would come some time today, but no specific time or even window. So, basically, I have to be home all day. It is worth it, though, knowing that at least they will show up and they will take care of the problem efficiently and without exorbitant costs. read more

The technicians are extremely knowledgable. They know exactly what the problem is with my Liebherr fridge with one glance. They even helped to call Liebherr to get a recall of the hinges. Too bad that my fridge is a bit older than Liebherr would recall. But they still tried their best to fix it for me without charging me extra (my original problem was with the sensor). They also helped me clean up the floor behind the fridge. My only complain is that the management office doesn't seem to know whether they could fit me into their schedule until the same day. read more

I would not wish this place on my worst enemy. We have a Miele fridge and the rolller mechanism that holds ice tray broke. Len's came in and by the end of the day charged us 960 for parts and labor and they had to come back three times. 90 days went by and their job fell apart. I called and they were rude and pompous and said they would come back but we would have to pay a 150 service fee. I then got into a very heated discussion with secretary and she was a total bitch. Lens appliances is a 4th rate outfit that obviously has many horrible reviews. They are thieves, liars, unprofessional and incompetent. Run away from these.folks as fast as you can. We needed help a few months ago, as well, and we had another great guy come by, too (his name escapes me, unfortunately). Their workers are on the ball and great people. 2014 Update: Editing my original review below and bringing them up from 1 to 3 stars. After a lot of working with a very patient Elyse at their office, I was able to get James and John (I made sure it was OK to use their names here because they were great) to come by on the day I was promised a service visit, even though they weren't scheduled to. They were nice guys who did a great job. I also talked w/the owner/manager who apologized for the oversight in not letting me know a tech wouldn't be able to make it on the scheduled day. He's got a great team, but this is not the first time this has happened with them so we'll split the difference at 3 stars. Original review: Awful. The techs themselves are very nice and helpful. But the management - in the 3-4 times I've dealt with them, they consistently don't let people know if techs aren't going to show. As we speak I've been on hold for a manager for about 2 hours. I've dealt with doctors and high level officials who are more available than this man. Your money would be far better spent elsewhere. read more
