I didn't get a chance to get any glasses from them! I made an appointment on line. They called me to confirm. They didn't inform me that I had a $40 co-pay. Oh yeah did I forget to mention this is my first time EVER having an appointment here? I got contacts. When I went to pick them up the man handed them to me and said " The doctor wants you to try them out before he orders them "! He didn't tell me anything about them! Then I called to let them know that I needed to have my prescription in my reading lens because it's blurry. And then I said that my distance eye needed to be stronger too. She told me that my contacts were for distance and my glasses were for reading. I said I didn't get any glasses. She said but you have an order for glasses and they are for reading! I said my contacts are mono vision. She said oh yeah I see that now that I opened and read further into your chart. I called and talked to the OFFICE MANAGER. I was complaining about how his staff treated me how they didn't do their job. And for some reason he offered me my $40 back. Cancelled my up coming appointment to see the doctor about my contacts and I am not allowed to return to that office! All because his employees DIDN'T DO THEIR JOB. It's my fault! read more

Went to Broadview Eye Center less than a year ago for an exam and new glasses. Three visits and two sets of lenses later they still wasn't right. I went to this LensCrafters location had an eye exam and purchased new glasses hoping it would be like the prior experience. So today 1/27/23 I picked up my new glasses and needless to say I won't have to go back because they did it right the first time. I'm far from home for the holidays and my eyeglass frame basically fell apart. Tried to put it together somehow until I fly home in less than a week. It was a no go! i went to LensCrafter, Belden Village, Canton, OH for some temporary solution. A nice rep greeted me at the door, said it is very difficult to find a frame that would exactly fit my lenses but she would take them back to the lab to see if she could find some solution. 15-20 min. later, she came back with the lens already transferred into other frames, which had been donated to the store. Basically gave them to me free!! What a relief! So kind! read more

You need to be very careful about getting an eye exam there. The optometrists have made the arbitrary decision to force an unnecessary retinal scan on ALL patients. According to the Mayo Clinic, such a procedure is only called for special cases. When I indicated that I didn't want the procedure, they simply canceled my appointment. It appears that raking in extra cash is more important that the patient. So sad. read more

I have purchsed classes from Lenscrafters several times. I always manage to find the frames you can't get in an hour. This time the selection was much smaller and the service left much to be desired. I walked into the store and saw sales people everywhere but no one said anything. So I wandered around. I was surprised by how small the selection of women's glasses is now. It is down to a small corner of the store and all frames were over $150. The majority of the store is sunglasses now. I was really disappointed in the selection, which all looked the same. I didn't find anything I liked and ended up walking out of the store after about 15 minutes never being able to flag down someone to help me. Now I'm off somewhere else to find some new glasses. read more

I have been to the Belden Village store two times to attempt to purchase glasses. Jeannette C. review is exactly the same thing that happened to me. I was the only one in the store. There were three employees. A woman named Carrie said hello. I asked if I could have some help picking a frame and was told to look around I would find something. An elderly couple came in and all three hurried over to assist them. I left the store and I'm quite sure no one cared. My second attempt was today. I found it funny that I was approached by the infamous Terri. Apparently, five years later her attitude has not changed. I told her I need to order a pair of glasses she said she didn't understand. I said I want to get a new pair of glasses and want to get the same frames so I need to order glasses. She said we cant put new lenses in old frames. I again said I need to order a complete pair of glasses. She said we don't have your frames. Again I said I know the frames need to be ordered. She again said I don't know what you are asking for. This woman was so completely rude I will never go into this store again. They all apparently need to do some customer service training. And honestly I have no idea why this women still has a job read more

Chelsea was absolutely wonderful at the Belden Village location. She was incredibly helpful and took her time making sure my daughter and I both found glasses. Chelsea went above and beyond and I will definitely be back. They also have a great selection of glasses. read more

I cannot comment on LensCrafters as a whole as this was my first experience, but this store left much to be desired. I found a great pair of glasses, and I have always used high index lenses for my high prescription. I ended up being convinced by the optician that the polycarbonate was a better choice for what I was getting. When I went to pick up the glasses, the lenses were at least twice as thick as my previous glasses that were of a very close prescription. They looked like a joke. In addition, the wide edges of the lenses were not polished. I should also add that when the optician had me take out my contacts (and later put them back in) to try the glasses, he did not offer me any way to wash my hands. A "certified optician" should know better. They did offer to polish the lenses, which they did for free. When I picked them up, they were polished nicely but the edges were beveled. If I moved my eyes even the slightest from dead center, my vision got blurry. The reason I did not give this place 1 star is because 1) they did give me a 30% AAA discount, and 2) they gave me a full refund (this is a company policy). I doubt I will ever use LensCrafters again. read more

Absolutely awful service. Unfriendly, tall receptionist guy was the least of the problem. For some reason lots of places hire unfriendly receptionists so that did not bother me so much. Got my eye exam by the male doctor. He walked in and I began to TRY to talk to him. I enjoy small talk with doctors, it's the only way to make it not awkward. Usually doctors are nice enough that you don't have to try. He made no effort. Asked me zero questions. Answered mine with one word answers. I gave up after several try's to be friendly and besides "1 or 2, 2 or 3," sat there in total silence. Awkward for me and it is VERY difficult to make me feel awkward. Then he told me he liked some other shit brand of contacts and I wanted to get out of there because I was frankly very upset with the vibes in there, so I said "okay". These contacts dry out after 4 hours. I miss my air optics but I'm not going back to this place to get them. Don't go here. There are good LensCrafters, the best is in Robinson PA. This is the worst. read more

This review is for the optometrist who's in the same building as LensCrafters yet doesn't have a Yelp account. I had been going to this optometrist for years and never had a problem. Liked them in fact. All up until my last visit. I'm on Buckeye insurance and for those that don't know it's Ohio's medicaid which is synonymous with limited resources. I had to pay out of pocket for a checkup because I had an eye blood shot and very sensitive etc. I was ok with paying out of pocket. Where the problem happened was the doctor prescribed me a medication not covered by Buckeye. I had to pay out of pocket for the medication under the pretense that I was going to get reimbursed down the road. That never happened because it was after I payed for the medication I learned that it was not the one covered by Buckeye. After talking extensively with the pharmacy and with Buckeye the problem is simply the doctor should have prescribed a different medication yet did not. So I went back in to get a refund to which all I got was blame shifting. I explained the situation very clearly to the gentlemen behind the desk and yet he still insisted that it wasn't their fault. Well actually it was and I'm out $55. Told him to remove me from his database as I'll never be back. There's a ton of optometrists in the area with high 4 star ratings. One of them being in walking distance from LensCrafters. Wish I would have looked at Yelp ratings before I went here for the first time... their ratings overall are garbage and rightfully so. read more

I'm from out of state and was in a panic about not being able to fix my glasses myself, so I went into the Belden Village store and two incredibly kind and friendly apprentices (I'm sorry I don't remember their names) took care of everything. The people in Dr. Schmidt's office in Lenscrafters are possibly the kindest people I've ever met. Even my son who is very considerate himself said he was impressed at how very nice everyone was. The appointment was so efficient, he had his prescription in his hand a half an hour after we arrived. (We did not buy glasses on the sales floor as our insurance was not accepted and while we waited we heard them tell several other customers their's was not accepted either.) read more

I came in to the Belden Village location yesterday. I was the only customer in the store. 2 employees saw me, one greeted me. Neither asked me if I needed assistance. 10 minutes later, still not approached by staff and an older WHITE customer came in, who they immediately assisted. I approached the female associate Terri, who was pretending to be busy, but basically not doing her job which is to help customers. When confronted, she made all kinds of excuses and would not give me the name of the manager. I called the corporate office and voiced my concerns: do you need to be white to get service?? The customer service rep profusely apologized and made a report. I did get a phone call from the male staff member in the store--again more excuses, etc. Then, got another phone call form the lab manager who said the actual manager was on a leave. He wanted to know how he could make things right. I told him there was no way I would spend a dollar in that store, but wanted to make sure they do not ever treat a customer who is African-American, Hispanic, Muslim etc. like I was treated. If the manager is reading this, or any person who is in administration at LensCrafters--your employees are damaging your store credibility. They clearly need retraining or you need to be more selective about who you hire. If you are a person of color or are a friend of a person of color--GO ELSEWHERE. There is no place in our society for this type of behavior. read more

Went here for a complete eye exam since my prescription expired. Dr. Roth was the eye doctor. I found her to be very thorough and she has a great bedside manner. She was very frank and I appreciated that, especially when I asked her about the possibility of getting lasik. From start to finish the appointment lasted 45 minutes. read more

Wasn't happy with my last visit. I asked that my new glasses have the same type of lenses, bifocals,transition glasses. When the order came in, the bifocals were off, they had to send them back. The second time, I checked to see if the bifocals were as ordered, and they were, went outside wearing my old glasses, when I got home I put the new ones on, drive to the store and I noticed that they were not transition lenses. When my wife spoke with the rep, she was told that it wasn't on the order. As if I understood what the order meant,assuming that they know best; they said they will call us back to see what they can do for us; it's been a week now. I am tired of dealing with them, and their lack of professionalism. Keeping the glasses, even though I'm unhappy. Will never go there again. read more

They have a nice selection of frames and the lady that was helping the first day was informative and knowledgeable. The downside is that they went from an 1 hour turn around time to get your glasses to weeks. Originally, I was told it would be ready the same time 1 week later. I went in to check on the glasses and they told me they were now delayed in the making of them and would be ready a few days later. They also that that do to me coming in on a Sunday that the company that makes the glasses doesn't get the order until Monday or Tuesday, so they wouldn't typically be ready in actually a week if ordered on a Sunday. This would have been nice to know as well. A few days later I called to see if the glasses were ready and they now say that they are delayed again do to the number of glasses being produced this time of year. They said they would be again ready until the end of the week. I would be less upset if they had informed me of this when I bought my glasses originally rather than telling me over and over that they are being delayed. I'm lucky that my old pair of glasses aren't broken and I have at least something to wear in the mean time. I am not happy with the way this company decided to outsource their lenses read more

Several things are terrible: The employees are dressed beyond unprofessional. How do I know who is an employee and who is a shopper? There is a girl working wearing old black tights and a Browns jersey. Are you kidding me? Where did professionalism go to the toilet? Then the WAIT! We had SCHEDULED our appoinent yet we wait amongst many people. There are not enough chairs for people to sit. The front desk is inept to say the least. I'm very disappointed in the service here and will not be coming back. Ps: I understand they are in the middle of a remodel but this place is beyond dirty and gross. read more

I have been going to this location for about ten years and truly find it to be one the best staffed establishments I go to. Everyone I have dealt with there is friendly, helpful and accomadating. I purchased glasses last week and was dissapointed to learn I couldn't recieve them that day, and that they would need to be shipped (I live in CO now) but when I called a few minutes ago the woman who answered the phone KNEW WHO I WAS and remembered my name after only seeing her one time! This is the only time I have ever not had the glasses in under an hour, but the service there is so good, I highly recommend this place :) read more
