Everything is overpriced. Take certain people to the name brand frames only. Stay woke and buyer beware.

The receptionist and other staff as well as the ophthalmologist were excellent. For the exam we were in and out within 30 mins of the appointment time. Her new glasses were ready within 7 days (this was even over the Thanksgiving holiday). Great service and very reasonable cost. Don't be off put by the exterior

It is advisable to have an appointment before going in. You can just call or walk in and make an appointment. The old lady with whom I made my appointment was very polite and professional. At first they ask you to take a quick and very simple eye exam and then they ask you to wait until it's time for the eye doctor to see you in his office. The optometrist who examined my eyes was very professional. One can tell he has been doing this for a long time. The doctor complimented me on not wearing my contact lenses during sleep. I can't keep my eyes closed for a long time when I wear contacts, much less sleep with them, but judging by his comments there are indeed people who sleep with their contacts on. I must admit I was a little embarassed when I couldn't name the brand of contacts I had been using up to then, but the doctor didn't make a big deal about it. He then proceeded to name the different brands of contacts they sell, some of their applications and uses, and their affordability. It looks like this business is family and locally owned, but I could be wrong. The atmosphere inside this place is very peaceful and relaxing. They also advertise glasses starting at $69.00 (buy one pair, get one free) outside the building. When I purchased my contact lenses, they gave me a free trial pair. They didn't have my contact lenses in stock, but the young man who brought me the contact lenses for trial said it would take about 3 or 4 days for my order to be ready and the pair they gave me lasts for about a month, which is the kind of duration for contact lenses I am used to. They also gave me a free sixty milliliter disinfecting solution for my free contacts. This was my first time there and the experience was more than satisfactory. Their services and products are inexpensive compared to other places of this kind in Columbus. I highly recommend this business to everybody.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience warrants it…read more I am a Registered Nurse with over 10 years of experience, and I chose North Columbus Eye Center for LASIK after a reassuring consultation with Dr. Ceravolo. I have significant procedural anxiety and made that very clear ahead of time. Unfortunately, the experience during the procedure itself was completely different. While my eye was held open under the laser, Dr. Ceravolo made multiple comments that indicated confusion, including statements like, "Did I press the wrong button?" and "What did I just do?" As a patient, hearing that in the middle of a procedure involving my eye was extremely distressing. When I asked if everything was okay, I was met with an aggressive "it will be if you would just hold your eye open and look at the laser". From that point forward, his demeanor became increasingly frustrated and aggressive, with repeated sharp instructions directed at me despite my clear anxiety and efforts to comply. Following the procedure, he performed a very brief exam, and left without any reassurance or communication. I left feeling distressed and at fault. At my follow-up appointment the tech immediately acknowledged awareness of my case and apologized for Dr. Ceravolo's behavior, indicating that it had been discussed among staff and that this conduct was not out of character. Additionally, while waiting in the exam room, I overheard Dr. Ceravolo having a personal conversation about coworkers DIRECTLY outside my door. The remarks included staff speaking negatively about coworkers, references to a hostile work dynamic, Dr Ceravolo saying the other doctor in his office "doesn't want to go to jail and can't afford divorce" and a statement about someone "going full Russian" on another individual. Additionally, there was a lapse in my post-operative care instructions. This experience was not only distressing but fell significantly below the standard of care and professionalism expected in a surgical setting. I have never encountered this level of unprofessional conduct from a provider. I emailed them and received a message stating that "Dr Ceravolo is very professional and if you'd like to speak with him he's more than willing". If this review helps even ONE person go to West Georgia Eye instead of North Columbus Eye I've done my job.

At that point it took 10 minutes before I was checked in. I went back for the eye exam promptly after that. The employees were all friendly and professional. The exam was completed in about 15 minutes. That employee told me to look at glass frames. I was told again by Lolita Deck to sit down and wait. I told her again I prefer to stand. I am an older male almost 67 years old. Sitting down puts a strain on my hip. She sat at the front area complaining about how employees acted while she was on vacation. After 1 hour of standing and waiting patiently the second customer came out from their eye exam. I ask the second employee that had been sitting with Lolita Deck for about 30 minutes, how much longer do I have to wait to make my choice of glass frames. That employee acted surprised that No one had helped me. She started to help me. While trying to help me she checked in 5 more customers. Gave 3 more customers their new glasses when they came in the store. Now 1 more hour later I am still in Visionworks trying to get my glass frames and final bill. During the last hour Lolita disappears from the front helping with customers. Lolita Deck business card says general manager. If this is the best Visionworks can hire for general manager it's a sad reflection on Visionworks. I will pickup this pair of glasses when ready. I will schedule my appointment next year. If Lolita Deck is still the general manager, then you have lost a customer for life. Lolita Deck store # 489 D is a sad excuse for an employee.
