The absolute WORST experience a customer could EVER have at a store. The young lady had a VERY NASTY and RUDE attitude with me!! Even saying under her breath when ask for a detailed quote for what I'm paying "This is crazy!" I have excellent insurance and we were having some issues with the payment and I needed a detailed explanation as to what I was actually paying for so my wife and I can understand better and know what to and not to include as far as extra cost. The lady had nasty attitude with me and my wife on the phone and I nor my wife will NEVER come to this place again!! We purchased glasses here years before but NEVER AGAIN! They asked me if I wanted to purchase frames at this location, so I went next door purchased frames and lenses. Three and a half weeks later I am still waiting on my glasses. Had two prescriptions. One for single vision, one for computer (progressive lens). Talked to the worker extensively about SINGLE VISION and that I wanted a cute frame. They entered BOTH prescriptions as progressive lenses. It stated on the RX that one was single vision and one was progressive/workspace. Called and was told by the worker that both the prescriptions stated progressive. (after them not returning my call the first time) Called the optometrist next door. The person who returned my call stated "yes, one was for single vision. let me check what we can do". Another person comes on the line and gives me the runaround too. Note to self and others, just make sure and ask/check before you leave this store. read more

Singularly the worst experience I have ever had with a glasses retailer. 1. First visit bought glasses, Ray Ban frame. I was told they would be ready in a week. I went to the optometrist the next day and while on the phone with LensCrafters had my prescription faxed over. 2. The person on the phone did not process my prescription. (First delay) 3. 2 days later I called to check on it. They said whoops. Here it is. I'll process it. 4. 2 days later I receive a call. We made a mistake. Can't put your prescription in these frames. You have to come in and pick another. 5. Went back to the store. They processed it as a refund rathe than an exchange (we'll get to that later). Picked new glasses. I was given another 10 days wait and charged ~$640 for the glasses. 6.later that day I was at the Ray Ban store and they said it was no problem to put my prescription in the original frame and it cost $210 less with a faster turn around. 7. Called LensCrafters immediately. They couldn't process the return on the phone and my order would still go through to the lab and be created even though I canceled it on the same day. 8. Went to LensCrafters. They can't process a refund. Because a button is greyed out and neither manager on duty could help me. They can't refund my money. 9. I'll be talking to their GM tomorrow. This has been a horrendous experience. Edit: 10. It gets worse. Welcome to the next day. The GM can't solve it. In 3 days store support will be open and they'll call them to see what they can do. We came here recently because my husband wanted new glasses, and we had really great service. We were greeted immediately and Ty was able to help us. She pulled up my insurance information quickly and we were able to see what each pair of frames would cost. Jon found his favorite frames right away -- love at first sight. Ty was very helpful, she knew exactly what she was doing every step of the way and made everything go smoothly and enjoyably -- she's funny! Usually the process of getting new glasses is so boring, but we had fun. There's tons of great frames to try on and they can sometimes get your new glasses to you same day. Jon and I went in around 4:30pm and they were ready at noon the next day, which was fast enough for us. Now I'm inspired.. the whole process was so easy and I found so many frames I liked, I miiiiight go pick out my pair next. It finally happened. I got tired of the service and frame quality of Walmart Eye Care. I wanted more options and selections in frames and sunglasses that I decided its as time to visit a LensCrafters. Upon walking in I was immediately greeted by Chris and asked the purpose of my visit. He asked some basic information such as color preference, material type and so forth to get us started looking for some new frames and sunglasses. We went through several different styles and Chris made some great suggestions and provided lots of information about each of the brands. Once I decided on the ones, he started to ring in my order. Chris was very personable, provided great conversation and found out about me and how I would use my glasses. LensCrafters uses a special digital measuring system which adds a little more time to your visit but it seems to be worth the trouble. Shortly after my visit i came back to the store to pick up my new prescription glasses and sunglasses. I was greeted this time by Eric who, asked how he could help and went to get my purchase for me. Although he wasn't making a sale off of me, he provided great customer service and conversation, making sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. He commented on the look and style of my glasses and made me even happier to have come to this store and made my purchase. I'll be making my future purchases here. read more

Great products, Horrible customer service. first time I bought glasses. I called a few months later to get a scratched lens replaced. they said my warranty expired about a month ago. a few months later I decided to get a second pair.. one for work and home. I called a couple days ago to get replacement lenses on my second pair and I was a week late on my warranty. they both times should have called or notified me that my warranty is ending soon. these guys are out just to get your money by hoping you forget your warranty date. recommend you go to another chain read more

Shady Shady Shady! Will tell you they are an in network provider ( in my case with VSP), yet they are not. The only way I knew was they tried to limit my frame selection to a certain wall of cheap frames for low fee or name brands for a cost. I get free frames up to $250. Know your benefits and verify with your insurance that Lenscrafters is in network, as Lenscrafters will lie to you. read more

i really dont like the customer service here. i waited 1.4 hours to just PICK UP my glasses. granted they were kinda busy but someone should really be proactive and do something. they ran off a list. and people who came in after me were being called? i think that if you have 9 people waiting to pick up glasses in the back, stick 1 person to the back and start handing out glasses. -__-. and when you walk in no one really greets you or even tells you what to do, its like...okay do i stand here and wait for service, i had to figure out there was a sign in sheet, okay thats fine, but at least have someone making sure everyone is helped. go to eyemasters. read more

This used to be a great place . You used to get glasses in 1 hour .... not anymore . Now it's 7-10 days . They now send the orders to a lab . I love the employees , but the company policy of cutting expenses by sending off orders to a lab sucks . They are still charging top dollar prices as well . After 10 months the Lens breaks apart from the frame . The management tell me it is not warrantied and they can replace thru my insurance . Manger is afraid to get on the phone and has his rep call me twice to say there is nothing I can do. After demanding to speak with the manager he lies thru his teeth about the 12 month warranty coverage and it's not covered. Do not waste your money at lens crafters , I will not spend another dime and will now purchase from Warby Parker and get glasses for a fraction of the price. Things started off well enough when we picked out a pair of glasses, but things quickly went down hill from there. First, I had new lenses put int an older pair of frames and those glasses were ready the following day. When I came in to pick them up the guy "helping" us was talking so low and soft that my wife and I couldn't hear him which was probably because he was asleep. This guy didn't care and seemed annoyed that we were asking him to give me my glasses. He was further put out when I asked for new ear pieces since the old ratty ones weren't replaced. Needless to say this guy was about as worthless as they come. Three days later I come in to pick up my 2nd pair of glasses and I waited 40 minutes to just PICK UP my glasses. It was busy,but we were the 2nd customer waiting to pick up glasses. Instead of just giving me my glasses and letting me leave they made me wait...brilliant! When my wife and I decided it was just time to go we proceeded to leave while passing by the employees and they didn't say a word...no surprise. Overall this location is a joke and whoever is "managing" this location needs to be fired. After spending $750 on two pairs of glasses you would think they would give damn. Please go elsewhere and save yourself the headache. read more

Incredibly slow. They completely skipped over my boyfriend's name on the wait list. Not one, not two, but four people were taken care of even though they signed in afterwards. We waited to for 45mins to get contacts only to finally be told that they don't sell them there and that it was the place next door. By the time we were done waiting the place was already closed. I have used LensCrafters to get glasses for years and the people at the store have always been wonderful. This time my son needed his eyes checked so I went online to the LensCrafters site found the North East Mall location it said make an eye exam appointment. I filled in then it gave me the day and time. I went in at the time and they tell me they don't have it in their computer. They had no apologies and no empathy for my inconvenience. They acted as though I was inconveniencing them by showing up. They did not offer to fit us in, did not offer to schedule another appointment. They just dismissed us like we didn't matter to them at all. Very disappointing. read more

We went to this store hoping to get eyeglasses for the whole family. We went inside and they were two of the employees working with the customers. There were no "hi or we will be with you after I'm done with the customer"... nothing period. That's ok. We were looking around for the frames for 20-30 mins. Another employee came from the back and looked at us and said nothing. So it's time to leave and never look back. Won't come back ever again for any LensCrafters period. I would say no stars but not sure I can even do that. I was trying to get my lenses installed that I paid over $500 total for lens and glasses. I'm living back and forth between Chicago and Dallas and have not picked up the lenses for over a year, my bad; however, not only did they not keep them, they changed software and even w my receipt would not give me lenses. In fact, because they changed software it shows them as dispensed. Well I showed them the glasses w temp lenses in them and she ( Robin the GM) accused me of lying about picking them up. Wth. Why would I keep a pair of lenses not in my glasses. They are custom made to this specific set of Oakley glasses. I never write reviews but I thought people should know they will not give me my lenses and I paid a lot of money for them. She was directly accusing me of lying to her. Anyone that knows me on here knows that I would not do that!!! Just letting you know. They RIPPED me off. Don't go there!!! read more

Full of shit. They wait until you show up to tell you if the insurance is covered. I've spoken with them twice since making my appointment and no one has bothered to mention anything. Absolutely fantastic. I get my glasses here every year but this year there was a problem and they fixed it automatically even though I didn't have an extended warranty. They were 2 small cracks in the lens and I fix them without an 45 minutes. read more
