his was my second year working with LensCrafters next to Dr. Heintz's office. The initial service was very helpful and friendly. After a short time, though, I realized that the new glasses were not working as well as the old for small print. I returned to LensCraftermeasures, where associate Abel agreed that this was probably because the frames were not large enough for my multi-level 'progressives' prescription. He had me choose new, larger frames. I would pay only the difference between the two frames, which turne out to be zero. He carefully measured the fit, and had me in and out of there in 10 minutes. Well this went as about expected. I made an appointment with the in-house professional eye care that is not LensCrafters. That went fine. But that is for another review. I was had to leave during my initial visit because it was busy in the store and it takes time to pick out glasses and order them and such. I came back several hours later and there were more employees working and it was a little less busy. I was able to start working with someone quickly who helped me pick out a new pair of glasses. I have a giant head. And it's hard to find glasses with arms long enough to fit my head. I had gone with Oakleys previously, but they didn't fit right anymore. With the help of the store associate I was able to track down a pair from another brand and style that I like but the darn arm still weren't long enough. So she went to look up some info on the frames but while she was checking right next to the ones she showed me were another pair that fit me perfect! While she didn't catch those she led me right to them. I tried them on and off for several minutes walked around in them. I decided to go with them. She got me all the premium bells and whistles on the lens and frames and protection stuff and after insurance it was only $220 for my glasses including the UV blue lens. I thought that was a good deal. I'll get my glasses in 7-10 days because of the UV blue I ordered otherwise they would have been able to make them in House the same day. read more

Scheduled an appointment and went for my eye exam for contacts and had just started and asked to use the restroom and was told they didn't have one. I had been going to that location for the past 3 years and knew they had one. The Tech was very rude and I told them I would go to someone else. Talked to the Store Manager and he confirmed that customers can't use facilities. I can go buy contacts, glasses and an exam elsewhere, their loss not mine! read more

I ordered new glasses with a new frame and prescription. The lady told me it would take about a week to get them and she was right! Usually I have to wait atleast 2 weeks. Great customer service as well. Everyone was so nice and friendly and did their best to help me pick out a new frame. read more

In a recent trip to acquire prescription sunglasses I had an experience that was completely predictable. I was greeted immediately upon arrival, in a shop that reminds me of a Foot Locker, but for eyes. Eye Locker. Nothing about the environment felt fancy, but who cares, I'm not moving in. I found the frames I wanted, waited about 15 minutes to get sized up and ordered. The cost came out to be about 25% more than I expected, but I always underestimate prices. I'm the guy that bids $1 on the Price is Right. The lenses had to be ordered, so I was quoted at 7 days, but they were ready in 3 days. Upon pickup the attendant seemed confused at the paperwork on her end, which delayed the process of getting out of there, but it was no big deal. read more

Just as another person mentioned, I also felt like no one cared or knew what they were doing. Here's the latest encounter I had with them. This time I needed them to fix the screws because it kept getting loose and clearly explained that this was the issue. The first response I get is... so what do you want us to do (while sneering). Um...I would think this would be obvious. Then she returns, "I tightened the screws...Hopefully this helps." Well clearly I didn't think of doing this in the first place, so I explained what things other LensCrafters did for this problem (changed the screw or put some sort of putty). I overheard the Lens technician say "well I don't know what to do...maybe superglue it." So I was hopeful yet disappointed that this was their solution to the problem. Got my glasses back and there was superglue all over the frames, a crap job if you ask me. Avoid this location if you can. (Please review update below) Update: Corporate responded to my inquiry with great concern and with great urgency. I very much appreciated this gesture and I also appreciated the personal apology from the store itself. This review may reflect the current status of this location, but I'm hopeful that things will change in the upcoming month. read more

I am a dislocated American worker and a Homeless Veteran, housed at the Salvation Army, Harbor Lights Village. Myself and six other Veterans, male and female were given free eye exams and free glasses at LensCrafters. Now the real surprise was when we went to pick up our glasses there was a Breakfast of absolutely a "10", for we even got Hugs with this wonderful set down home style meal. We were all humbled and truly grateful for the Doc's and Staff at this establishment. Thank you LensCrafters and yes I do suggest these folks to see to any of your Eye Care. SemperFi. read more

They might be able to get you in same day, but you'll be here ALLLL day. After spending all day, I was given the wrong rx. When I tried them on in the store, I mentioned this to the lady helping me to which she replied, my eyes needed to adjust to the new lenses. It's been several months, and I am still unable to wear my glasses without feeling sick. read more

My second visit was a lot better than my first visit. The manager I spoke to addressed my issue prior to my appointment and they scheduled me to come in within the hour. I had a different Optometrist this time, Dr. J took care of me immediately and answered all my questions and concerns. The doctor prescribe me a couple different contact samples. Within 40 minutes, I had an eye exam and had time to pick out a pair of glasses and had it picked up an hour later. I am glad I gave them a second chance because this visit was very pleasant and I can see without complications. Everyone was friendly and helpful. read more

I have never done a Yelp review but this time I feel it is definitely warranted.... so, I had my regular routine eye exam as I had a group of cracks starting on one of the lenses of my glasses. Dr then says after running some test that "it's not a matter of if you get Glaucoma, it's when" ok, so we did some more tests which tool roughly a total of 4 hours and then I picked out my frames. I was told they didn't have my frames in stock and have to order them, a week later I ask of the status and they said they didn't know as it was inventory time and they cannot transfer anything. I then called the store they were supposedly transferring them to and they tell me they have no idea and didn't get the request. Now I'm furious, so I call in and a nice manager by the name of Shawna helped me out and said she would pick them up herself and give me a discount, cool, problem solved right? Wrong... I went in to the store another week later and after waiting roughly 30 minutes to have someone help me, the original rep Nancy finally was free (she wouldn't let anyone else help me, so I just sat there. She gets everything put in the system and then their card machines are down, so, we had to move to another location and rerun the entire process... an hour and a half in the store location to simply pay for my glasses and get the lenses ordered... I was told they would come in that week (Paid on Saturday) so I called in on Thursday and kept being told "sorry, were busy I'll have to take your number and call you back in 30 minutes to check for them", needless to say the 4 or 5 times I called throughout the day Thursday I kept getting the same answer and no one called back... I called in later after I got off work and got a nice woman named Julie who said she would have to call me back but I asked if she could just check really quick, so she did and she said oh yeah they came in but the lenses were defective so we gotta reorder them. I felt like I was being pranked. So today (Friday) I had a request for Shawna the manager to call me, she told me it would be 3 to 4 business days to get the new lenses in and that was it.... it seems crazy to me that the people who say, "Get your glasses in an hour"have to take a month to get my glasses made... the lack of communication is astounding. Throughout this entire process I had to be proactive and call for updates and even had to call a store from Columbus Ohio that was transferring my lenses to KC to get an eta of when they would be in, then I had to call and find out my order is delayed bc of the lenses being defective. THE RESPONSE TO MY CONCERNS WAS AS FOLLOWS: "Ryan I looked at your file and it seems we don't ever make you happy, I can't do anything other than tell you your lenses are reordered. We are still within our 7-10 business day window of your order actually being placed and paid for, so, we are technically not late and we only update you if we are late. So, is there anything else I can do for you?" I have never been so frustrated and felt talked down to before. I am in the communications and sales industry, you NEVER, EVER talk to a customer like that, but, it's my fault bc I had already paid for my glasses, so what do they care? They already got my money, why give customer service? I have a followup set with the store manager tomorrow but I promise, I have been going here for years and I do not plan on having any future business with this location or lense crafters at all unless it has to do with the insurance on my new glasses to do a damage claim. I called in to see about a follow up eye exam and discovered they also billed my exam to my medical insurance instead of vision so they are trying to hit me with $374 for my exam... not happening. I feel like this is a nightmare that never ends. Do NOT go here and spend your hard earned money on slow and rude customer service that ends (even though it's terrible) as soon as you swipe your card. You're simply a walking wallet here. read more

This is my second encounter with this LensCrafters. The first time I went it was great wonderful excited to go back. This time I went oh hell no. This time I got the manager. She gave us a lame excuse about how she has worked 30 days straight. She is salary...... we asked.... she has no problem cashing her pay checks... that is her JOB if she can't get people to work for her. She was dealing with trying to give away the desk and chairs (they were in the middle of a remodel). So we got are glasses orderd in between her talking to this other person. Then after all that other person working had to help with our special order. She was nice but we were already frustrated. So we asked if we could get a call when both were done....... we got a call that said both were done but what do you think was there when we arrived...... ONLY 1 PAIR...... we got a call when the 2nd pair was ready then we had to wait about 1/2 hour. We are not going to buy glasses for here again. ..... Now for the Dr. Office we had to do the receptionist job by filling out the questionnaire on line at the office. Then when you get back to do the eye exam the say put your face here now here..... they have no maners at all... The Dr. I had was being smart with me. My husbands Dr. was just O.K.... I am just sad most of all the EMPLOYEES HAVE NO MANERS... A PLEASE AND THANK YOU go a long way. read more

Worst costumer service ever! The dr. was great.... But took me about 30 min to order new frames and when I got a call that my glasses were ready, guess what? They weren't! Had to wait another 30 min.... Never heard so many "I'm sorry" in one day! They are horrible... But at least they admit it. read more

Despite this location having a lot of negative flak, I had an excellent experience here today. I was literally just bouncing around Zona Rosa with nothing better to do and thought "I wonder if I need glasses..." So I walk in, begin to peruse around the waiting area and eventually make my way to the front desk where a lovely lady named Monique asked how she could help. She ran my insurance (just a pointer, without insurance, an eye exam can easily run about $150) and when I found out that I had a free eye exam, I figured 'why not?'. Literally within the next 5 minutes, Monique herself took me back to the exam room and conducted it herself. It was very professional but she made it fun and I really like that in people! After I failed miserably at my eye exam, it was time to meet up with a doctor for a few. I would recommend Dr. Brand. He's the full time Doc there and he rocks. He's fresh out of school and seemed to be full of knowledge. So, as it turns out, I need glasses...severely. I didn't buy any today but I have a strong feeling that the reviews on the place revolve around how long they take on preparing prescription lenses. This is just based off of how welcoming and friendly everyone was on my visit. I would recommend this place! Oh, and I forgot to mention (to whom it may concern), Dr. Brand is very easy on the eyes (get it?!). Just saying. This may or may not have swayed my review, but regardless, I had a great time here today! Lol read more
