Some people age gracefully, others rot from the inside out. Unfortunately I had to deal with the latter type of human being earlier tonight. Waited patiently for 15 minutes until the clerk was done with the previous customer. I was decent enough to have a seat instead of standing up and lurking behind him. The old clerk was either too dumb to realize that, or she just didn't care. I waited another minute, and then walked up to her desk since it didn't seem like she was going to look up from her notebook to even acknowledge my presence. Long story short - this poor excuse for a customer service rep couldn't even help me order contact lenses, because she was too lazy to find out how to do it properly. This lady should've retired 10 years ago. Owner take notice, unless you're okay with wasting your customers' time -- or maybe you're allergic to money?! read more

Bought a pair of glasses (lenses and frames) 12 months later the anti-glare coating is pealing off the lenses and its like walking around with scratches all over them. The rep there offered NO help. I found myself at the Collection this past weekend and in desperate need of a glasses adjustment. Sometimes they just feel funny! I walked in to find the funny woman I always see there (should have gotten her name off her name tag...woops), who helps me right away. I explain what I need, she listens, helps right away, and sends me on my way. I made sure to tell her she always helps me very well, and I appreciate it. Getting glasses is a once every few years crappy necessity, but I'll make the longer trek out to Natick to give this or the Route 9 store my business-- they're the most consistent locations I've found. read more

I was driving by the store and decided to pull in and go inside to see if they could fix my glasses that I did not buy from LensCrafters. He did it in about two seconds. It was so nice there. I went here yesterday with the intention of purchasing new frames. Upon entering the store, I was not acknowledged by any of the four personnel milling about the main desk...until, I reached for a frame. I was swiftly chided like a naughty preschooler for touching the frame and told that they needed to be placed in a bin so that I might try them on. However, these instructions were not posted and no bins were available. What followed was a series of abhorrent customer service interactions with a surly female employee in an empty store in which I was the only customer...enough said, I'm headed to Warby Parker and you should do the same! read more

I was age discriminated against and insulted by the store manager Dominic at the Natick Mall location in Natick, MA. I purchased two new expensive pairs of prescription glasses recently and had immediate impaired vision with both upon pickup so I came in for an evaluation after several days of trying to adjust. Without checking the fit or anything else, he stated very flippantly that "Someone of your age just needs to come to terms with the fact that you're older and need to spend the money and buy progressive lenses." The complete disregard and sheer arrogance of this is appalling. I'm not going to get into the details of my personal prescription needs (which is not complex at all) but after spending a considerable amount of time trying to get common decency and respect from him, I determined he does not have the capacity to be a mature professional about this. Even after getting rechecked by the doctor I pulled Dominic aside and gave him every opportunity to step up and be a leader but all I did was get more arrogance and attitude from him. He did nothing to correct this situation and in fact mocked me, turned around and walked away from me. At no time was I rude, but his unprofessional attitude, demeanor and language was juvenile and petulant. It's astonishing that someone like this was promoted to management so that clearly speaks volumes about this company. It's very apparent that this franchise and especially this location is trying to scam people out of money by coercing them to spend hundreds of extra dollars on progressive lenses. From the doctor's office to the sales team, all they do is push this expense. Progressive lenses are great in theory but not everyone can wear them so this is clearly financially motivated to make people believe they need progressive lenses or else they won't be able to see well. This deceptive business practice is fraudulent, and I will be reporting this and Dominic's discriminatory behavior to the State Attorney General's office as such. I've been a customer of LensCrafters and spent thousands of dollars for almost 20 years and never had a problem until going to this location. I will be returning my glasses as they still do not work well enough and I will never do business with this company or any of its affiliated doctor's offices ever again. read more

I went to Lenscrafters (Sehgal Eye Associates) early 2010. Over one year later, I received a bill in the mail for $264.00. When I finally got a hold of "Misty" (who had by this time sent a series of 3 letters in quick succession) she said that my insurance had cut me a check (?) and thus I owed them the $264, plus another $25 as a late fee. Ummmm....it took you over a year to give me a heads up on this and that heads up was in the form of a BILL? I'd rather go elsewhere and know what I am getting into before a year elapses. read more

First of all the girl working at the desk definitely could have been a bit nicer and at least pretended to have somewhat enjoyed greeting incoming patients. I understand customer service may not be everyone's forte, but fake it til you make it sweetheart. I was fitted for my contacts which were so-so, I was a bit skeptical because they caused my eyes to hurt a bit (I was given a pair of 2 week contacts to try before ordering more). They were okay, but part of me wanted to go to another doctor to make sure I had the correct prescription. I didn't really love it there but its close and convenient so I may or may not return, we'll see. read more

I lost my glasses and needed new ones ASAP. Dr. Wei examined me and really spent some time figuring out a balanced prescription for my eyes, then Bob helped me find a pair of glasses that fit perfectly. They have very high-tech equipment at this location, like a laser camera that can take pictures of your retinas without dilating your eyes and this funny camera they stick on your glasses to make sure the lenses are balanced. I got a nice pair of Armani Exchange glasses with prescription lenses for under $200 after my insurance discounts. I had to go back the next week because the balance wasn't quite right (I have a complicated issue with amblyopia in my right eye) and Dr. Wei sat down with me for another 30 minutes to thoroughly examine my eyes and find the perfect balance. My glasses were ready in under an hour after both visits. I have honestly never seen this clearly and the service is amazing! read more

I went here for an eye exam since Pearle closed. I found this to be convenient and met my needs. The location has a very friendly and knowledgable staff when it comes to their products. They were also exceptionally friendly.I was able to get my prescription within 90 minutes. This easily beats the week I had to wait for Pearle for my first pair. My lone gripe is the selection and variety of mens frames is poor. They seem to only have 4 brands. The mens section is this tiny corner of the store, barely larger then the kids section. Compared to the womens section that takes up a whole 20 foot wall, it's clear that there is room for improvement when it comes to their stock. read more

My existing rimless frame broke, went to this LensCrafters ready to spend $200-300 to buy a new frame. I wanted to keep my existing lenses. To the GREED of the in-store rep, he told me, there is no way to install a new frame to my existing lenses, I had to buy new ones. Well...I did a little research, spent $30 bucks on Amazon for a new rimless frame, 3 days later, with the help of my pliers, I got a perfectly new frame with my lenses installed. Bought glasses at LensCrafters in Natick on Route 9 two years ago. When I went to my doctor's for my every two years eye exam, the optometrist checked my glasses, and told me that LensCrafters got my prescription wrong! My eyes have not changed! Called LensCrafters and they said it has been two years, so it's too long ago, and they will not correct their error. Never going back to LensCrafters Again! I know they don't care, they have so many customers. Customers beware! read more

Absolutely horrible service. I made an appointment for an eye exam in person with the receptionist. No slots were available that day so I made an appointment for the following Monday. Upon returning at the appointed 2 pm time on Monday they had nothing booked for me. Turns out the exam had been entered for 2pm on the day I made the appointment instead of the day I was told (even though it was already after 2 pm on that day...why didn't their system block this?). So upon being told they could not take me I made another appointment for the next day at 1:15. Upon arriving for that appointment the receptionist gave me an odd look and told me that it was the doctor's day off an there was no one to give exams that day. It hardly seemed worth trying again at this point so I'm off to find a competent store... read more

STAY AWAY from Sehgal Eye Associates! They are so bad. The Dr. didn't know anything. She was so so rude. I had the worst experience. Dr. Patel was so incompetent. The front desk woman was super rude. She did not know how to process my insurance. She did not know how to order contact lens. The first time they forgot to order my lenses and they called me in to try them! The second time she ordered wrong prescription. Third time she ordered only 6, when I had already paid for 12. To top things up, she was super rude to me and my husband. That front desk woman was always arrogant. REALLY REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would never recommend that service to anyone! read more

I have gone to this LC location for the last several years, because it is extremely close to my work. My yearly exams have always been quick but thorough, and I've always had really friendly service, especially from the doctors. I started wearing contacts again about 4 years ago, and I haven't had any issues with them. I really like the selection of styles and brands they have for women's frames. I love the high-end brands, just because I mostly wear glasses everyday, so I need something that is going to last and look stylish. Last time I got new frames, the ones I wanted were on clearance (bonus!) but they didn't have any at the Framingham location. The staff called around and got me one from another location at the same price. I've always had lots of fun picking out new frames with the staff here. Whenever I need my glasses adjusted (I am rough on a pair of glasses), I can just walk in and they do it right away, and I usually get some freebies (cleaners, case, etc). The last time I was there, I got excellent customer service from Curtis, so I hope to see him again next time I need new frames. read more

Person gave me a tray, told me to look at each tag and told me in so many words don't bother them and go figure things out on my own. If you have insurance like me and your don't get a discount, don't bother with this place. We bought couple of pairs year ago and they were awesome.
