The staff was extremely nice and I actually enjoyed that the practice had some updated equipment that I hadn't seen. I was so happy to pay an extra $39 to have a picture taken of my eye, rather than having that puff of air blown in my eye. While there wasn't a huge selection of frames, they had some very nice options.

But a few weeks ago while looking through the window a kind woman, called out to me and welcomed me to Eyetique. I later learned that her name was Michelle and after talking with her about just the frames I had been admiring, I was ready to give them another try. Just last week my glasses arrived. Michelle called me directly and gave me the hours of the store and the times in which worked best to come in. I went to the store last Thursday. Michelle had already polished my glasses. She set me down to ensure that everything was the right fit and invited me back to have the glasses tuned up as they get more comfortable on my face. I love Eyetiques selection, but the only reason why I drove from Columbus, Ohio to the Pepperpike suburb was because of Michelle, she is kind, considerate, and a true professional.

Save yourself the headache and take your business to a more professional, competent business that does not rip you off for their own benefit. and no need to discuss your concerns to the office manager, she just repeats herself like you didn't hear her the 1st time. since they are a privately owned business with no corporate compliance to adhere to, they are very comfortable doing what they want. the office manager proceeded to walk away from me while I was still questioning her about my up-charges and locked the door and turned off the lights behind the desk yet sat back there advising they are on lunch from 1-2 pm... How rude and very unprofessional. I will be looking into reporting this company for their coding tactics. Every case is not the same and should be treated accordingly.

I have had a lot of experiences - good and bad - and I can honestly say that Eyezone is the best I have ever been to. From the moment you walk in the door to the beautiful lobby, you are greeted warmly. Before my appointment, they were very helpful with answering questions about certain exams that my insurance covered. The forms were easy to fill out (most of them you can do online beforehand) and before I knew it, the appointment had began. The pre-exam was an absolute breeze. I was ushered from room to room with speed, though I didn't feel like anything was being missed. I just got the sense that they understood that my time was valuable and wanted to make everything as efficient as possible. After that, I didn't wait in the exam room that long before my doctor was there. She was just amazing. Conversation with her was so easy, something I rarely experience with a medical professional. She did the standard tests and figured out my vision perfectly, and she was great about answering questions I had and even mentioning that pregnancy and breastfeeding can change my vision a bit, something that not even my medical doctor had told me! She was extremely knowledgeable and I found it easy to trust everything she said. When it was time to pick out my glasses, the gal that helped me was equally awesome. She was patient with my picky self, and chose a frame that I never would've picked up and it turned out to be the perfect fit for my facial structure. She was very up-front about what my insurance covered, and the options that I had with my high prescription. She had a smile on her face the entire time and made me feel so welcome. Overall, it is clear that everyone in this office works hard to create a comforting and warm environment. They are efficient and diligent, but slow down for questions and concerns where needed. My frames broke after 14 months of wear. I took them back and because they couldn't repair them and…read moredidn't have another pair they popped my lenses out and put them in a "loner" pair so I could see until the next pair came in. I assumed that replacement would be their responsibility because all of the other frames I've worn in the past (from other businesses and brands) lasted four to five years holding up to lens changes etc. I received a message that my replacement frames were in. When I returned to pick them up the woman looked at me and with a condescending voice said "those lenses won't fit your frame." What was I supposed to say to that? They ordered them? Upon inspection we discovered that they ordered the wrong replacement frames. SMH. The condescending woman didn't apologize for being rude, for ordering the wrong pair or inconveniencing me. When I went in to pick them up the second time, they charged me for shipping them. It seemed high for 1 small box; $25, but I felt that I shouldn't have to pay for anything seeing it was a faulty product. But they explained the 12 month warranty was over. First time they mentioned that btw. I paid the 25$ but explained other frames I owned held up and I felt it was a faulty product. Emphasizing that I was just making a point that they ought to consider other manufacturers. I've worn Prada and Oliver Peeples with no issues. The lady shared she would have someone call me. As I was walking out the same condescending person said to the other employee, not once but twice and loud enough for me to hear, "we will need to fill out a form to cover these (the loner pair) at a loss." Duh. I hope you wouldn't try and resell the loner pair frames that I was wearing. But you don't say it out loud in front of the customer like it's their fault. Sheesh. When the person did call me, as they were chewing a mouthful of food, asked if I had a question. I responded I didn't have any questions, that I assumed she was calling me to rectify the problem. Nope. "They stand behind their product" and "they could have charged me for the replacement frames due to the warranty being over" and insinuated that I should be thankful they were only charging for shipping." $25 dollars to ship a pair of glasses. Making me wonder if I paid for the first and second shipping cost. I really didn't have any complaint with the optometrist. She seems knowledgeable and thorough which is why I gave Berris Optical 2 stars rather than 1. However, I believe she is responsible for the staff. Either way, I will not be returning and would not recommend this business.

This was the worst experience I've ever had. Even Costco takes more care in customers than this…read moreplace does. They try to upsell you on literally everything rather than taking your needs into consideration. My insurance covers a basic exam but when I went in I was charged over $50 for the exam and when I asked why they told me because they automatically added on an extra service -- this should have been disclosed prior to the start of the exam. When I express this they acted like I was the crazy one. I had some issues with the lenses once I received my glasses and went in to try to resolve the issue which was entirely their fault, but it took them an arm and a leg to admit that. And even after recognizing it was their fault, they were so hesitant and trying to actually fix the problem, so I gave up. They had improperly marked the optical center on both lenses, which intern made everything blurry -- at first they tried to say it wasn't their fault, but that I so used to wearing glasses that were incorrectly made for my vision that I couldn't recognize what proper vision felt like. I really wanted to support local, which is why I went here in the first place, but I'm really turned off at how inconsiderate and out of touch the staff are. I would avoid at all costs.
