So I purchased prescription Ray ban meta glasses, the same exact size as my meta sunglasses that I have. So, I went to Costco and got an estimate for my prescription and frames for $143, not bad but my gf pointed out that i have insurance that will cover eyeglasses. Woohoo! So I go to LensCrafters and they take my insurance. They advertise a $99 lens and frame deal, but after screwing around and jerking it about ridiculous crap, they give me an estimate. Get this, they want to screw my insurance company for $380 PLUS screw me for another $67! Long and short of it, I'm going to pay Costco the $143, because at least they are honest and reasonable, rather than give these lying crooks at LensCrafters a friggin dime. LensCrafters you are F'ing crooks and you should be ashamed of yourselves. btw, they forced me to give at least one star for the review, I would give NONE. also btw, Costco has nicer frames for the given pricepoints. read more

Best eyeglass experience in a long time at LensCrafters in Strongsville. I stopped in today for Customer Appreciation Week with huge discounts on frames and lenses and found a huge selection of frames and sunglasses. Michele was very pleasant to work with and made the process quick and simple. She was highly experienced and was able to effectively answer all of my questions and concerns and thoroughly explained all options for lenses and coatings, including pricing. This the second pair of glasses I bought. First pair was great. After a couple months, the coating on my lenses began to wear off and the arm of my expensive frames just feel off! I went back in and a woman helped me by saying my frames were under warranty from the company, but would have to be sent back to the manufacturer. Ok. The lenses she couldn't do anything about Bcse they only have a 30 day guarantee and I didn't buy the warranty....your coating on your lenses doesn't last 2 months? And you refuse to fix it bcse I didn't purchase their warranty...I understand breaking them etc. but the coating was obviously faulty. I was basically told I was out of luck!! I had to replace the lenses at my cost. I didn't. Will never go back Bcse I feel they make sub par products and try to scam you for more money. Buyer beware read more

They only get one star because the optometrist was nice and knowledgeable (seems like it was a separately owned company, probably why) Anyways after I spent $365 on ray ban glasses, I thought I ordered the ones with the premium antiglare. When I picked them up there was glare all over them, and asked about the Anti-glare I thought I purchased. Apparently that was an additional $170 and I apparently didn't order them, but they upgraded me to them free of charge. When I picked the glasses up the next day they looked like a blind folded two year old cut the lenses for the frame and there was a real thick white halo around the lenses because they didn't even polish the edges. My main problem still was that I COULD SEE BETWEEN THE FRAME AND THE LENSES. long story short, the manager said that's the best they could do.... Wish I could upload photos on here. Anyways they were returned for a refund. Found another place (eyecandyoptical), they were $80 cheaper with the premium baked on anti-glare(standard equipment), polished edges and the lenses fit the frame! They didn't have "one hour glass's", but how well did that turn out for me before? Moral of the story: LensCrapters sucks. read more

They are great! Took my daughter as a walk- in for an eye exam.... only a few minutes to wait! Staff helped her pick a nice frame. Lenses and frame were reasonably priced. I was highly impressed with Lens Crafters. I didn't have my eye exam here, but my glasses purchase was a great success. As soon as I walked in a friendly optician met me and asked what I needed. She briefly looked at my prescription, determined they could help me, directed me to the correct section of the store and gave me a tray to collect the glasses I liked in. She then allowed me to browse alone, checking on me once during that time. There was a good selection of name brand frames and styles. When I had chosen three frames I liked the optician took my photograph in each pair and provided me a quarter screen side by side view. This technology was very helpful in choosing a pair. It helped draw attention to things like where my eye was positioned in the lens. The optician offered good advice regarding which frame would work best with my prescription. They offered a $34 insurance that covers the frames for 1 year - replacement with $25 deductible. For payment Lens Crafters accepted my Medical Mutual insurance. They also compared my insurance price with the price of their current sale. My insurance won, but by fewer than $100. The glasses on the shelf are the actual ones you take home. Aside from brands like Ray Ban, the store only stocks one of each frame. The lenses for my frames were ready in less than one hour as promised. The optician was highly skilled in properly adjusting my glasses. read more

Everyone I dealt with, from the assistant to the doctor to the staff to help pick glasses out were incredibly kind. They called our insurance company to check on that before we came in also to help speed things up. High tech equipment not seen many other places for the eye exams. Great selection on glasses and we got a great deal for 50% off a complete pair at the time which saved us almost $400 so can't complain about that. Easy to make an appointment online, flexible times as well. $99 for a complete eye exam, lasted about 20 minutes. read more

Some companies pamper shoppers with quick and attentive customer service. At other places ,like this Lenscrafters, you can't find anyone who has a clue about how to help you. I made an appointment for an eye exam to get contact lenses on a Wednesday afternoon. When I called the man asked me about my insurance. I gave them a slew of information from both of my insurance cards, my personal information and my contact information. I arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment and walked into the store. It is very sleek and stylish. There was only one other customer in the store. I walked up to the front desk, manned by a middle-aged woman with super short hair and great glasses. She was talking on the phone. It was blatantly obvious that was not a business call! She nodded to me. As I waited for her, I became uncomfortable listening to her private call. As I paced about a bit, I noticed the eye doctor's desk. I walked over to that desk. It was manned by a teenage, blond-haired young man with his head down using his phone. I stood there for literely about a minute and a half and he never looked up. Then a middle aged woman, with an accent, came walking down the hall and yelled "Can I help you?" I told her I was here for my appointment. She gave me a clipboard and told me to sit down. Once she got behind the desk, I asked her if she need my insurance cards. She said she did not because they did not take my insurance. I was stunned for two reasons. First my co-workers told me they had purchased glasses at Lenscrafters with our company insurance. Secondly because the office had all of my information for 6 days and never called to inform me of the issue. I took the day off work for this appointment! The woman told me that the exam would cost me $170. Any reasonable person would see how that was not and acceptable solution, when you have insurance. I was mid-sentence with the woman asking why they did not call me, when her cell phone went off in her pocket. She proceeded to answer it, right there, at the desk, standing in front of me. She began to speak in a foreign language to the person on the other end. I was appalled. I set my clipboard down and walked out. Luckily for me, no one seemed to care. I really hope this review will save others the time and hassel that I experienced at this store. I also hope the Lenscrafters' management takes note of this lack of customer service. Employees are the public representitives of your business. Your reputation can make or break your business. This type experience is certainly not going to bring you new customers! My last eye exam was done in March 2021 in a different state, visited this Lenscrafters this week. They were very rude to me initially when I walked into the door. The lady who was working, on Wednesday Sept 22nd couldn't find my exam, gave me the run around with my prescription. Told me I HAD TO get glasses through them. Wasn't very helpful at all with trying to locate my prescription, brushed me off etc. She had a horrible attitude, as if she hated her job, caused a scene when I asked a different associate for help she was yelling in the store to the other associate that I hadn't had an exam in 5 years and basically was telling the other associate to not help me. Watched her snatch glasses out of a customers hand when he tried them on, wouldn't give me my eye prescription to take elsewhere. Honestly will never go to this place again, the staff was rude/ ignorant/ not friendly, and should NOT keep their jobs with their lack of respect to their customers.
