In to repair my brand new prescription glass frame - after I snagged the glasses on a branch cleaning up after the Isaias storm. They ordered the replacement arm, held my broken pair so I didn't have to come in and wait. Texted me when part arrived and again when pickup was ready. Checked fit when I put them back on too. I don't know what happened here. We had a great experience last year. Seems all new staff. 4 appointments cancelled since August! Twice equipment was down and twice doctor had family emergency. There is only 1 employee that is competent in the store so I gave 2 stars. 1 is very rude and has no business in customer service. Save yourself the hassle and use another location or company. read more

My rating is for the doctor. She was very thorough for my contact lenses fitting. But The manager in the front, not friendly or was she professional. She was complaining she couldn't hire any decent employees. I shouldn't have to hear this. I'll be back though. :-) read more

Had my eye exam here a couple weeks ago which was a typical exam and all good. Today I walked in with an old pair of broken frames and a new identical frame I bought online to swap the lenses. Horrible service for repairs. I bought 2 pairs of glasses in June. One of them broke. I walked in 2 Saturdays ago and was told the person who could fix glasses wasn't available until Monday. I asked if I could leave the glasses and the lady behind the counter said they couldn't accept glasses left there. When I asked why she angrily said because it's my property and not Lenscrafter's. Since I work weekdays I tried to call the following Saturday but with no answer. When I drove there, the gentleman at least nicely said there wouldn't be anyone to fix the glasses until Monday. I asked if the person would at least be there until 6 and the person said, not sure. Call in again on Monday. Instead, I took the train into a NYC Lenscrafter and got my glasses fixed there along with ordering a third pair because the people there were so nice. I won't buy glasses in the future at the Mt Kisco branch, even though I've been going there for over 15 years as the service there is so poor! read more

The service in this store is awful. The prescription was input incorrectly, so that I had to go there 2nd time to return. I was told on that day the correct prescription was ordered and would be delivered to my house. 10 days after, no delivery. I called again, and being told someone would call me back. Nobody called me back. So that I called again next day, I was told they had to order it and it would be delivered to the store. So I went there for 3rd time to pick it up. Staffs simply do not care about their work. Go to the one in White Plains, which has much better service. read more

Now, if you look at my reviews you will see that I visited another eye care center today without the same happy results. The first thing they did was get my medical (well specifically eye care related) history and then the explained how my insurance would handle the visit. Then we proceeded. I was put through a series of test that seemed to be on state of the art equipment. I then saw the doctor who reviewed the results and did further testing. I have utmost confidence they did right by me. I'm also lucky as i seem to have an excellent vision plan but, they made it a great experience and I would use them again. read more

I came here for my annual exam (had never been here before but my insurance changed). I had a 1040am appointment on a Saturday and arrived 15 mins early only to be seen 40 minutes late, they also said I had to come back in the future to be dilated and fitted for contacts. I ended up spending two hours there..but when I called to book the appointment I was told it would only be a 45min visit. The doctor was great but the staff wasn't helpful at all. 4 days later I went to pick up my new glasses..I got home with them and closely inspected them realizing that there were two sizable chips in the paint on them. When I called the store to tell them, they wanted me to bring them back (probably so they could half-ass paint over the chips), I replied that I didn't spend $200 on these frames to get them in this condition and I will not bring them back until they have a replacement pair with my new prescription in them. read more

I finally made time for my annual with my two daughters. The staff was courteous, patient and thoughtful. The help picking out glasses and helped me save money on my contact order! Dr. Lai clearly has a passion for her job, and it comes through in her diligence. I was reluctant to go after the negative reviews but I'm glad I went. I had ordered 5 pairs of classes at a cost of $2K for various member of my family, taken time off from work to be there. The most thorough and helpful evaluation I've ever had. I've been wearing glasses since the third grade and contact lenses for over 40 years, and I've never had a more comprehensive evaluation and discussion than that at my recent visit to Lenscrafters Mt. Kisco. Prompt courteous staff. An extremely knowledgeable doctor - who even could the discuss the very esoteric corneal disorder that I've had since high school! Highly recommended! read more

The sales associate Leah was highly unprofessional and uncourteous and made my daughter feel uncomfortable. My daughter asked her to give her a little space while trying on contact lenses for the first time and she made several comments like, "How are you going to be a doctor if you can't let someone watch you put in contacts?" Another time we rescheduled an appointment and came in only for them to not have made an appointment for us at all. We have been going to Lenscrafters for years but we expected better customer care and treatment. read more

I bought a $500+ pair of rimless Oakley glasses about a year and a half ago. A little more than a year into their life, one lens cracked at the site of attachment to the frame. I went to the store to ask whether the lens could be replaced. I was told by the manager that the answer was "no", and I had to buy an entirely new pair of glasses, lenses and frame included. Not believing this nonsense, I went to a local optometrist, who, upon looking at the glasses, told me that they were defective to begin with, with only one lens having an anti-glare coat. I went back to the shop and confronted the manager, who agreed to re-manufacture the glasses (after giving me a hateful look.) Lo and behold, the new pair's washers that attached the frame to the lenses shredded and the lenses started to wobble. Again, I came back and was told by the manager that the (entirely new now) glasses were beyond repair and I had to buy new ones. Again, not believing him, I waited until he was gone, and a very nice optician in the store just put in a new washer for me. Lo and behold, a month later the lens cracked again at the point of attachment. Again, I came back and was told by the manager that it was impossible to fit new lenses to the frame and that I had to buy a new frame. Not believing him again, I sent my glasses to LensesRx.com, and within a week had brand new Crizals attached to my existing frame for $125 instead of paying LensCrafter $500+ for a new pair of frames/lenses. Throughout this despicable ordeal, the manager had been rude and contemptuous to me and treating me like I was an idiot in spite of clearly knowing that I was a physician practicing in town (I came in wearing my scrubs and a name tag.) read more

They didn't tell me until the very end of the appointment that they didn't accept my health insurance. The doctor was very friendly, but everyone else in the store seemed ambivalent that I was a customer. The whole experience seemed like a shakedown to make some money. I'd much rather go to a smaller eyeglass store where care is given to the customer, and they take a moment to tell me if they accept my insurance, before making me shell out hundreds of dollars. read more

I called corporate to discuss it, but the regional manager never called me back after they took my info and complaint. A horrific experience... red flag warning! I ordered my prescription sunglasses (a standard frame with a very simple prescription) on June 9th and I AM STILL WAITING FOR THEM (as of 6/29). While the store has apologized for the inconvenience and has issued a small credit ($50 towards glasses of more than $300), this is simply unacceptable. I will not be patronizing this store again and would discourage any locals in need of glasses from visiting this store as well (unless you'd like to wait 3 weeks for your glasses). read more

I go here every year for my eye exam. I believe that the equipment is state of the art and that the doctor is very knowledgable, but the staff is absolutely unhelpful and there is always a problem. The most recent time that I went, I arrived on time with nobody in front of me but still had to wait 20 minutes for my appointment. During that wait, I was asked multiple times if I had been there before (yes, I've been going for 3 years) and if I had an appointment (yes). Additionally, when I was being charged, I said something didn't seem right and it seemed too expensive. The woman ringing me up scoffed and ordered someone else to finish the transaction. It turns out I was overcharged $80, and I had to be refunded, which they were very nice about but still. I love my doctor, but there is ALWAYS a problem in there. read more

Do not waste your time here. I booked an appointment on a Saturday well in advance with my two college age kids. When we got there they told us they could not do the dilation, and that we would have to come back another time, the eye test that day took 2 hours 1 hour longer than out appointments where supposed to, my kids returned for their dilation, which took a further 2 hours. They also looked at my new insurance card and told me I had no coverage, yet a later call to my insurance Co told me it did. I will never return to this place ever. Having said that the staff where very pleasant but this place is so poorly run I will be taking my $ else where read more
