The man at the store was rude, and every time I tried to explain that I take good care of my eyeglasses, he kept saying it was normal wear and tear after two years. I chose LensCrafters because I expected quality lenses and good customer service, but instead my lenses turned yellow after only two years. I am disappointed that a pair of eyeglasses that cost over $1,000, with high end lenses, would have this issue so quickly. Needed to update my glasses and trying LensCrafters Pasadena for the first time for me and my oldest. We made sameday online appointments which were super easy to make. We were welcomed by Sonia when we walked in and guided to check in with Ahinoan. They both were sweethearts and super patient. We had two appointments for 4:20 and 4:40pm. The entire process was so smooth. We upgraded our eye exam and paid the out of pocket difference that insurance didn't cover. We left so happy and were told one of our glasses would be ready for pick up next day. So many frame options to choose from. They validate parking. read more

If you're latino or latina you're not welcome here. I came in with my mother to look at frames for a Mother's Day gift, but the experience was incredibly uncomfortable and insulting. From the moment we walked in, we were met with dirty looks from the two female associates working. Despite a brief "hello," from behind the counter they never offered to help us. Instead, they hovered and stared at us the entire time. When we moved toward the Ray-Ban Metas near the exit, one associate immediately rushed over to stand by the door, pretending to "check inventory" while clearly just watching to see if we were going to steal. It was so embarrassing and degrading. When we moved to the other side of the store, the other associate kept turning around every few seconds to monitor us. If you are Latino, do not come here; they will stare at you like you're a thief. It was blatant profiling and so obvious that even my mother noticed and felt embarrassed. We left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I'll be taking my business elsewhere! read more

My cat knocked my glasses off the coffee table, and then must have done a tap dance on them because they were extremely wonky. I went into the LensCrafters in the Paseo to get them adjusted. They worked for quite a while on them, and got them about 90% back to normal. Alexander showed me that the hinge on one of the earpieces had been twisted, and explained that he didn't want to do anymore for fear of breaking the frame. I really appreciated the service, and his honesty. I definitely recommend checking them out. read more

On a Sunday afternoon in December, I came here to look a frames with my prescription from elsewhere. I was nicely greeted by the manager. There was a lot of famous brand frames so it was hard to choose. I decided to pick a Michael Kors purple frame with the help by the manager. I added transition lenses, scratch resistant lenses, and other stuff which the cost added up. I also got extra protection plan. It took 6-10 days and it was ready. The manager remembered me and helps fix my frames not too tight. Very good customer service. They also validate parking at Paseo. read more

We came to this LensCrafters on the recommendation of Sunglasses Hut in Old Town to have a pair of Oliver Peoples sunglasses adjusted after a poor experience elsewhere. Alexander and his colleague were assisting other customers when we walked in, yet they were still attentive and welcoming. Alexander personally helped me and immediately made me feel like family--warm, easygoing, and genuinely kind. He took the time to thoroughly clean my sunglasses and carefully adjust the built-in metal so the nose pads wouldn't slip. What really stood out was his patience--he kept adjusting until the fit was just right and never made me feel rushed, even while helping other customers. He is also incredibly knowledgeable about the different brands and the quality of the frames, down to how each would support the various activities I do. I wasn't planning to buy new sunglasses, but his exceptional service made me want to support the store. I ended up purchasing a great pair of Maui Jims, and Alexander went out of his way to offer options and explore ways to order a new pair when it turned out to be the last one in stock. Well I had suffered from the devastating event that happened and I was barely holding on to my last pair from 3yrs ago when my glasses were smashed by a tree branch I had found a 10yr old prescription that was getting me by bit with everything going on I was strapped financially from not being able to work and the cleanup, etc., etc. and I went into LensCrafters to see about a warranty found out. It was expired. Explain my situation to them, and from my surprise after years of doing business with LensCrafters, they gifted me a pair not just regular bi vocals glasses but varilux lenses, and a sharp pair of frames as well!!!! The on site dr there hooked me up with one of the best optometrist I have met. I have been a loyal customer with LensCrafters for 30 years. Yesterday I went and asked that Jacob adjust my frames. Although not wanting to, he said he would. When he gave them back and I said maybe they are a little better, he tapped a colleague on the arm and said he did nothing (smart a$$). I picked up the same frame of the rack and showed him that nothing was done and got my money back for the lenses I purchased. This gentleman has a very arrogant attitude and I told him I am not going to argue with him. It is sad that he represents LensCrafters. Came in with no appointment to get new glasses. Alexander asked if we needed help and let us try on glasses and stepped back, while the kids were trying on glasses in the background. He was very attentive when we did have questions. Didn't try to push anything we didn't want and was very professional measuring the glasses on our faces and talking about the products. Also played with the costs for our eye insurance to get the best deal on the get 1 and get another for discounted deal. I was wondering why this store in the Paseo seemed like the busy one which sounds absurd for this particular shopping plaza, but service speaks volumes and could overhear other workers acting professional as well. I've been getting my eye exam and also purchased a few frames for myself and my boyfriend at this location, and I've been pushed and pressured to buy an eyewear that I don't really like because they're rushed and want to sell items they consider suitable for the client. The eyewear stock is limited I should say outdated. I went a couple of times to have my glasses adjusted and I had to hear each time how lucky I was to have such a great eye insurance so I wouldn't have to pay for their overpriced products. The doctor is a nice young guy that doesn't spend much time explaining anything but that's the way doctors are nowadays. They rely on computers. So, not sure if I'm coming back to this location again. Although they've been sending reminders about getting my eyes examined numerous times. read more

I had been a loyal customer, but not anymore. Today was the worst encounter I've ever had with a healthcare provider. I scheduled an appointment, completed the required paperwork, received a reminder email, and arrived early--only to be told my appointment was canceled because I didn't call to confirm. At no point in their spam-like reminder text messages was I instructed to call or informed that my appointment would be canceled. When I asked to see this supposed written policy--something never required in prior years--the office manager told me to "call the Medical Board of California," despite being an optometry office. The new office manager, Jacob Kamarzarian, never expressed any remorse and instead blamed me for not confirming. He smirked as he said, "Why didn't you call to confirm? The doctor's time is valuable," clearly enjoying wasting my time and seeing my frustration. This was my only afternoon off after working 12-hour days all week, and it was a complete waste--apparently, my time means nothing to them. This office has lost a longtime customer due to its unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and blatant disrespect for patients. Avoid LensCrafters and Dr. Tina Chiou at all costs. read more

i loved this location! Alexander and Cassandra were great. Cassandra was very sweet and kind and made the experience of getting my eyes tested less scary (i hate the puffy machine!!!) I wanted to take advantage of my benefits before they expired, so I popped in to see if I could find a pair of glasses I liked. They had a great selection and I quickly found some I wanted. Unfortunately, my insurance was already closed because they are on ET, so they weren't able to verify in real time. Fortunately, they were able to help me receive the benefits retroactively and Estevan went above and beyond in securing this for me. He was able to work directly with my insurance to figure it out and kept me updated the entire time. Truly such a gem and his effort did not go unnoticed. After an extremely unpleasant experience at the downtown LensCrafters location yesterday, I went to this location to complete my purchase (and in the hopes of being treated like a customer should be). Alex and his colleagues were professional, SO easy to work with, and made the process fast and simple. I was treated with respect, and actually got a better price at this location than what I was quoted at the downtown location for the same glasses and same features. Everyone was in good spirits, had good energy, were knowledgeable and more than happy to answer any questions I had. The store was clean and well-organized. I really appreciated Alex helping me get the best price possible and his recommendations so I felt confident in my choice. Stop by without an appointment to get my exam and a replacement glasses because being a bone head, I lost my good pair. Talk about VIP service!! The doctor and associates were all very attentive. Alexander and Annie felt like instant friends. They help manage the limited time I had because I had to get to a lunch date with a friend. I made it on time due to their sense of urgency. They also didn't make me feel bad at all with all the scabs I had on my face and all over my neck due to having skin tags and moles removed the day before, most people would of looked at me like a had a bad case of the ticks.
