Horrible customer service! After waiting 5 days for special lenses the optician made lenses from the old prescription. The manager woukd not expedite a shipment of new lenses even though it was their error! Frida told me I would have to wait another 5 days. I asked her if another lenscrafters coulid have the lenses or could they make the prescription and she told me no. So I got a refund and left. I went to the West Covina locationr and they were able to create the prescription but my eyesight was blurry. That location suspected the prescription was incorrect as did I. I went to another optometristand had a new eye exam and come to find out the rancho office prescription was totally incorrect and incomplete. When I returned to the rancho location the manager Frida was less than helpful and would not squeeze me in to see the doctor to confirm it and hopefully get some new glasses. I have spent $1500 at lens crafters in the last few years and I will not be back. If you value your time and your peace do not go to this location. No stars! When did lenscrafters turn into a used car lot? I bought a pair of prescription glasses with Oakley frames, very similar to ones I already had. When I went to pick them up I put them on and found they didn't fit. I told the sales person they didn't fit, he took a look at them, pretended to adjust them and gave them back and they still didn't fit, I told him that the left lens was touching my eye. He then told me that there was nothing he can do and blamed it on the fact that my glasses are thick and suggested I buy the thinner more expensive lenses. I took a closer look at them and noticed that the lens was not all the way inserted into the frames but the other one was. I told him, he looked at them, and proceeded to lie and told me that it was inserted all the way in and again suggested I buy the thinner lenses lol after the third round with the guy he then gets the manager, the manager looks at them and tells me the same thing! I thought I was at rock honda for a moment. The manager tells me that the lens is inserted correctly but because it's thick it's touching my face. He also tries to up-sell me the thinner lenses lol after a couple of rounds with the manager of me telling them it's not all the way in he finally gives up and then pushes the lens into the frame. read more

Horrible customer service! Employees do not even acknowledge you when you enter the office. Waited for about 15 minutes before anyone approached me. Then I was still waiting another 10 minutes to be seen after I asked to be helped. It's as if there is no supervision. Very poor customer service! Highly recommend not to go here! My experience with this LensCrafters was Poor! Upon pickup for my new glasses that I was so excited about. They had made a mistake on putting the wrong proscription on my glasses delaying my pickup. Would not recommend to anyone I know! Pricing and discounts can fluctuate per sales consultant. Within a 2 week span I had gone back to purchase the exact pair of glasses but in another color. This time when the "Store Manager" put my order together the price changed by $100 more. I explained that just 2 weeks ago I paid $100 less. She proceeded to tell me that whoever put my order in last time was wrong and should not have done that. I cancelled my order after she was not willing to match the price that was already in her computer. I also contacted corporate LensCrafters and will update if there is a resolution. Also beware that most glasses will not be ready in about an hour. They have a very limited amount that can be actually made onsite. If they are not able to make onsite they will take just as long as all the other companies. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Me and my friend had an appointment here. My appointment was at 3 and my friend was at 320. We arrived at the same time and filled out paperwork. They took my friend in as soon she said she was paying cash because she had no insurance. Waited a whole hour and watched them help about 10 people that walked in after me. They saw me getting impatient and asked if I wanted to back with my friend because they were "struggling". I asked why they took her in first before my appointment which was earlier? My family and I have been coming here for years, but this time I got ripped off. I told the guy that helped me I wanted transitional glasses. I also talked about it with the ophthalmologist. We talked about the total amount. He said it was because what I was getting including transitional. When I got my glasses it did transition. When I called the store they said I never got it. I should've trusted the other negative reviews. What a disappointing experience. Come to pick up my glasses and find out that the prescription they provided me was wrong. After putting on my glasses it was like looking through a fishbowl. I was told to take the glasses and try them out for a week. How unsafe is that? Telling a customer to go and drive with glasses for a week! AND Maybe you'll get adjusted to them. A complete waste of time and unacceptable in my opinion. What a great LensCrafters this place is, I've used the chain in the past and been somewhat happy, but this location is the best! Dr. Sinn was outstanding she sorted out my eyes in no time flat and Kelly the tech was exceptional, both have great personalities perfect for this profession. I went in looking for replacement contacts and ended up with new contacts and glasses for me as well as contacts and glasses for the missus. My lenses were kinda complicated so they had to have them done at the Ontario store, which they did with no drama, I've never been happier with glasses. Had an amazing experience at this center after having a hard time at a different one. From the start I was greeted by Jimmy, great person easy to talk to and the best part took the time to listen to what I was looking for. He had me complete paperwork, showed me where frames where and provided me with assistance choosing one. we proceeded to the exam where I was impressed with the level of technology I found with lenscrafters way above the normal eye doctor's office. Now to the doctor, Maria Uy, OD was just a sweet heart, didn't rush me at all answer all the questions and even took the time to educate my young daughter when we where reviewing the picture of my eyes. I have been a long term client. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I purchased the unlimited one year accidental damage warranty on two pairs of glasses. I had an accidental drop onto the street and one pair was completely smashed by oncoming cars. I called the store within 10 minutes to let them know. They said I had to bring the glasses in to qualify for a replacement. There were no glasses to bring in but scraps off a busy street. As instructed, I went back to the location where it happened. As a side note, it was my fault for driving off and leaving my glasses in the roof of my car. But, this is why I bought the insurance. Apparently, the damage was too extensive as I could only bring in small parts FROM THE STREET! I scooped up what I could. They denied replacement as they could not tell the scraps I brought in were glasses. No where in the warranty does it even say glasses need to be brought in or that the damage cannot be So extensive that they cannot replace. At one point, the assistance manager tried to show me an exclusion regarding Acts if God were not covered. This was not an earthquake or a hurricane! He also stated it was not covered because the glasses were considered lost. This is also not correct. I didn't lose them. When I called the store to report this damage, they instructed me to bring in what I could OFF A BUSY STREET! I followed their instructions and they still refused. They said if they were to use the insurance, their store would suffer the loss. Is this not what insurance is used for? Will never return to this location!!! read more

Shannon was very helpful, she did my eye exam, assisted me with picking out frames and answered all my questions. Amanda & Sopan were very helpful as well. They were all very sweet and seemed to love what they were doing. Dr. Uy was my optometrist, she was thorough, organized and was wearing really cool shoes! I made an appointment, showed up early as instructed for time to verify insurance and staff was scrambling to verify my information at 6:40pm when I showed up at 5:25pm. My sister went to get her glasses, and her eyes dilated for the first time today. She was informed that once her eyes were dilated she was able drive home right after. Never have I ever heard such a thing!! I've been to eye specialist's to have my eyes dilated, and they would refuse to dilate my eyes without another person with me to drive me home. I feel this was not only very unprofessional, but also very unsafe. Should she had decided to drive home and something tragic had happened to my sister this place would of been liable! I called and spoke to a Kate (Manager On Duty) and told me it only affects near sided not far sided. With that said they do tell their patients they can drive like that. I've gotten my eyes dilated and I would never drive and put my self or other in harms way!!!! Another thing the employees walk around like they are better than you and make you feel out of place. Wish I could give negative stars. We placed an order for two pairs of glasses, one for my husband and one for myself. We went with this store location because of the highly rated reviews on yelp, even though it is located 45 minutes from our home. The ordering process, while taking longer than necessary, was mostly uneventful. About a week and a half later, my husband gets a call that his glasses are ready on a Wednesday. On that Saturday, we drive the 45 minutes to the store. I run in to pick up our glasses and I was told they would be right with me and to have a seat. I did as instructed, and watched as 4 other customers came in after me and were all helped before me. Four different people say they will be right with me at different times. Finally, someone comes over and says that they do not have either of our glasses. I explain that my husband received a call saying his were ready. They cannot find any order for mine and cannot give me any sort of ETA for when mine will be ready. They make me wait even longer and tell me that my husband picked his glasses up 3 days prior. I explained that he did not, that he was waiting in the car with my children and had driven with me for 45 minutes to pick up his glasses. He most certainly did not pick them up already. The on-duty manager kept disagreeing with me and I was told if I wanted to wait a few hours, a general manager would be in the store and could talk to me. At NO TIME was I ever told they could order more glasses for my husband, and I was not offered any apology for them giving my husband's prescription sunglasses away to someone else. I told them to cancel our orders and we would go elsewhere. I called the corporate line for Lenscrafters. The representative was very kind and apologetic but also offered me ZERO solutions, other than to tell me to go back into the store to have my portion of the glasses payment refunded. I go back into the store and stand at the register for a minute or two, while being ignored by the only person on the sales floor, who was with another customer at the time. I just needed a refund. The woman told me to sit down at a table once again and she would help me later. I told her fat chance, that I had no intention of sitting at a table once again to be ignored. There were at least 4 other employees there who could have helped me, who I heard chatting in the back of the store. Only after I walked to the back and asked an optometrist to help me with my refund, did the woman on the sales floor feel it was necessary to stop making me wait after the deplorable service and gave me a refund. The level of service in this store is deplorable and completely devoid of any management. Not only will you waste your time, you might never receive your glasses and then be called a liar by the staff when they give away your glasses to someone else! My guess is: One of the staff members thought they would either give away or sell my husband's Oakley sunglasses, not realizing they were prescription! That's the only way I could imagine they would magically be given away to another customer without them noticing that they cannot focus through them and be returning them to the store. read more

I should have listened to the past reviews. This store has highly incompetent workers. There's a reason for the barely 2 stars this place has. I wanted a specific pair of RayBans but this location didn't have them, instead I was informed who did. So I went to the LensCrafters inside Macy's like I was informed and they didn't have them. So I let time pass and I was informed by the LensCrafters in Macy's that the freestanding store had 2 pairs now. But I was told by the employee they could order them for me but I didn't want to wait 2 weeks. I was relieved especially because of the 1 hour lab the freestanding store has. So I get there and the woman is looking for the pairs and for some reason she can't find them. But I remembered when I first came to this store, the same woman told me they could order them but once again I didn't want to wait plus the Macy's employee said the same thing. Instead, the woman doesn't suggest ordering it she tells me what locations have it but they're all 25+ miles away. So I ask her if they could be ordered, I don't know why she didn't know but she asked the older woman next to her and she simply said "No." Short and blunt just like her. I could sense her tone and attitude when asked by her coworker, she didn't even bother looking up from the computer. Since I knew they were full of it I just told her, "okay then thank you" and left. She didn't try helping me further or apologize. I only gave this location 2 stars because the eye exam wasn't a horrible experience also. YOU CAN ORDER FRAMES! Don't let these lazy sloths lie to you! This was my second time buying glasses from them and they were running a special if you buy a regular pair of glasses you could buy sunglasses frames and the rx lenses were free. That's a pretty good deal so I looked for sunglasses and didn't find what I was looking for so they said they could order a pair for me. They later called and said they couldn't order what I wanted so I went back in two days later while the promotion was still going and asked if they could order another pair... they said they could at full price because I didn't buy them at the same time as my glasses. I just spent $600 dollars and they told me I could come back and get them but they refused to help me. As I said I will not be returning any more. read more

I went in and told them I wanted to use my insurance benefits for the year before they expire and start a new year. The lady who looked up my Info (returning customer) was confused looking up my Info. Turns out they never entered my prescription from my exam 9 months ago into the computer. Then I looked around at their frames and finally settled on one and had to wait to be helped. They sent another lady who mistake asked me for my name at least 8 times our entire conversation. She seemed extremely clueless and the manager was not helping her and nobody else was training her so it went poorly. She didn't know anything about the lense options or even the lenses that were in the frames (prescription sunglasses) and tried to tell me they were one thing when they were completely different from her man we sample (same color lands but if you look through They had different tints) and after I proved they were different she tried to tell me they were exactly the same. Then more headaches and more wasted time. Overall very frustrating experience and over 2 hours of my time wasted. I will never return to this place. They never apologized or tried to actually fix things and at the end they tried to get me for over $500 after insurance (sheriff insurance mind you so it covers a lot!) Even though I told them I wanted something cheap from the get go they tried to get a fortune out of me. read more

I have two insurance coverages. I told the person that I spoke with when I first walked in that I would be using both insurances to cover the cost of my exam and glasses. On the portion of the paperwork where it asks about insurance I even noted that I would be using both insurance companies to cover the cost that day. If that was a problem, the person with whom I spoke should have said something up front. When I was through with the exam and picked out my frames the sales person told me the balance would be over $400. I asked if that was after billing both insurance companies. She said she could not do that. That is strange because I have gotten glasses before (as has everyone in my family) and they have always billed both insurance companies. Not double billed so that I got money back or anything shady like that....just bill one and then bill the balance to the other. We pay premiums twice so there should be nothing wrong with billing one and then the other. So she insists that the only way she can do that is if I buy another pair of glasses. So I said no I was not going to buy any glasses and I got up to leave and she said that she already ran the bill for the glasses through my insurance and I would have to call them and cancel it. I told her SINCE SHE BILLED THEM, SHE SHOULD CANCEL THE BILLING...since I was not getting any glasses. This seemed to be another task she was incapable of handling. Finally someone came from the back of the store and said he would take care of it. You would think that a big company like LensCrafters would have figured out how to work with insurance companies by now and not just have a set procedure that they are unable to deviate away from. We are returning customers. Last time we were here we had excellent service. Unfortunately this time it was nothing special. In fact my children all chose the frames they wanted. The customer service specialist (Maria) helping us was very informative and polite. She went to the back and even double checked they had all the frames in stock that my children needed. After I had paid, someone from the back came out to tell her they actually did not in fact have all of the frames and one of my daughters frames would have to be 'special ordered' and wouldn't be in for at least two weeks. Not understanding how this could have happened because she double checked with their on site lab prior to me paying. Now I'm forced to fill to prescriptions and have one child wait at least two more weeks for theirs! Had I known that I would've never placed the order in the first place. Expressing my concerns she had Nasim the Sales Supervisor come speak with me. To which all she said was the people in the back are new and this instance is a training issue they will need to address. I'm not satisfied at all this time. Signed, extremely unhappy! Supervising Nasim called today and let me know that they ended up getting ahold of another store and they were able to rectify the situation by having the other store fill the prescription for me so the last pair is ready to be picked up. I'm happy that they took the extra step to fix what happened yesterday. Had someone offered that or even tried to fix it yesterday It would've been nicer but I'm glad they were able to get it all figured out for me. read more

I will never come back to this location. I've always gone to the Ontario Mills location but came here because it's closer. I made an appointment to avoid the long wait and they still took me almost 30 minutes late. They made me wait an additional 30 minutes for my glasses because someone in the lab went home (really????). They have no accountability if they're late since they make you pay for your glasses up front. They aren't even apologetic about it, it's like "oh well, too bad for you". The staff themselves are nice enough, but this place is very poorly managed. Don't bother coming if you actually want fast service and to get your glasses done on time. read more

I can guarantee you that you will NOT find another optometrist office with more up-to-date equipment and technology than this place. Not only that, but you won't find another place with a wider selection of frames and lenses. The staff is incredibly friendly and seems to have a genuine interest in your vision, especially the doctor (Dr. Sinn). For a small additional fee, they take digital images of the BACK of your eyes (yes, I said back) and review them with you so you have peace-of-mind knowing what's going on health-wise. I know I did. Yes, some people may complain of lengthy wait times. It's a doctor's office. If you want the BEST service from everyone here, I highly suggest bringing patience along with you. They will take care of you. Yes, they take most insurance plans and no they don't offer additional promos with insurance, but that's an issue you need to take up with your insurance. It's a legal issue apparently... Overall, I am very happy with the environment here. Friendly associates, knowledgeable techs, and oh yeah, the one hour thing. No waiting 2-3 weeks here. I decided to try a new place for glasses. I liked the new technology that lens crafter advertised. The Dr. and the testing was great. The specialist that was to help me with everything else was most definately not a specialist. She actually didn't know much. She interrupted what we were doing multiple times to answer the phone. She had to stop other employees to ask how to do things multiple times. I asked if she could help me pick frames. She gave me a basket to put frames in and said she recommends coach and walked away. I was there for 2 and 1/2 hours. I had no confidence that the lenses she was measuring me for, would actually work. Fortunately an employee from the back came and helped her. She had them wrong. My plan was to purchase additional lenses for my sunglasses and another pair of sunglasses. But due to her incompetence, I didn't. I was planning to take my husband and uncle there if I liked it. That isn't going to happen. I want to be clear. The Dr. Was great. The tests were great. The other two employees were friendly and they seemed very knowledgeable with other customers. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Their customer service is very bad! It's so unfortunate considering the location at the beautiful Victoria Gardens. Seriously LensCrafter you need to get rid of the ladies who worked there on 11/8/15 during 4-430pm, they do not have customer service skills, communication skills, or people skills! They were not approachable, not friendly, & rude! While I was asking the blonde lady and question after she asked if I needed something she stopped me while I was talking to tell a coworker something, then started talking to another customer who interrupted and didn't come back to me, then when I finally got her attention back another customer interrupted and she again continued with that person. I understand we have off days, but this lady clearly seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. And the other 2 ladies behind the register/counter were so involved w whatever paperwork they were doing that they seemed scared to help customers, they were rude just for not acknowledging customers, what happened to customer service first people? All I needed was to know what numbers on the tag to write down, so when I came back I could tell them which frames I wanted. These ladies were just rude! Take these ladies out and I'll come back, I only wish I got there names and I'd give them to you so you can walk out if they were there, but I hope this employer really removes them and sends them to training! read more

I give this a three star because they have a great doctor and a few employees who are really energetic and want to make getting glasses a good experience. But, I got stuck with Hortencia. She didn't explain any of my options to me, or the differences in lenses. She didn't help me find good frames, but her co workers did. I dont think she likes her job, or there's a language barrier. Luckily, I went back and asked for an explanation and was able to change the lenses i ordered so they were the best for me. Then, they tried to have them ready in an hour, however I had all ready waited an hour as my sons were done correctly the first time. I could have mine in an hour because the correct lenses were already there and didnt need to be ordered like Hortenica said. I go back an hour later and they messed up the prescription. A 20 minute appointment turned into a 4 hour ordeal and I still have to wait for my glasses. Good customer service they would have given me a bottle of 2.99 cleaning solution for free for all the mess ups I endured. But no! I paid for it. I guess the moral is ask for help from someone who is knowledgeable about glasses and likes what they do. I may go back in the future but I won't work with Hortencia. read more

I purchased frames and prescription lens on June 23rd 2018. I had to order the frames because they did not have the color I wanted. They said it would be no longer than two weeks. I started calling on July 6th they said they were not in. They told me they would be in on July 7th. I called for the next two days and I always got the same answer. The last time I called on July 9th I spoke to the manager Debbie she apologized and basically said it was out of their control. She called me on July 10th and said they were in but that one of the lens had a slight yellow tint and the other was clear because I wanted the anti blue ray lens. She said it wasn't a big difference and that I could wear them like that. I said I have the yellow tint on my current glasses and you can tell. I told her that I wanted what i paid for two clear lens. She ordered them again and on July 15th they texted me that they were ready again. I went in on July 17th and the girl at the store brought me a brown frame when I ordered a silver frame. They told me that they would check the back for the correct frame and finally I got my glasses. I will never purchase another pair of glasses here they are a joke and I never got a phone call from the store until Debbie called me on July 10 to tell me that the lens were sent wrong.
