I regret coming here. I should have stuck with Costco but unfortunately I trusted the person who referred me here. The staff is unprofessional. The lady who answered my phone call today laughed as she was picking up the phone, put me on hold for a while to probably finish her conversation, then got back on the phone as she was finishing up her little giggle. She was not helpful, she was not considerate of my stressful situation. When you go to a doctors office you hope that they'd have your back in urgent situations like mine, but nope. She didn't even TRY to help me. I explained my situation and she told me to just wear my glasses. I told her in the beginning of the phone call the reason I was in this situation is because my glasses aren't ready for another two days. This is my experience with the retail side of the business, not the doctor. That's because I can't get past just getting someone's help to even just to set an appointment. I've been in there twice. The first time I waited forever, not everyone is trained to look up your insurance, so they couldn't find me. I verified my insurance with my employer then went back. I was in the store waiting on the only person that could look up my insurance and schedule an appointment for over 30 minutes. I needed sunglasses so I was at least going to buy those but again, no one would help me so I left. To be fair, they were not rude to me, or nice to me, the service is just terrible. read more

I came in here for prescription sunglasses last week not knowing what I wanted. Luckily, Frieda was there to help me out with everything and answer all my questions. After we found a frame I liked, she quickly got me through the sizing and prescription part. I was in and out of there in about 15 minutes. Customer service here is awesome, and my glasses were ready in only a few hours versus a few weeks. In the middle of saying thank you I was rudely interrupted by the sales person saying you should've made an appointment. I then stated the site says they take walk ins if it would say appointment only I wouldn't had come in. They dont deserve one star but i need to do one to write my review on how many bad experiences i had, from giving me the wrong prescription, not returning or answering calls, waiting 15 minutes for a simple override where I canceled my purchase of glasses, rude from the manager to all the employees. my visit to this office is only for convenience, close to home but i rather go to Riverside tyler location where it takes me 30 minutes but the service has always being excellent. Long time customer no more. Wasted money and time trying to get new lenses for sunglasses and regular glasses. The on site optometrist created a prescription that was too powerful, resulting in headaches and dizziness. Went back for a redo, alas, the machine was not working two days in a row? Neither was the machine working at Ontario Mills. When one pays premium prices for one hour service, this is unacceptable. Now I have two sets of useless lenses that need to be redone at the correct prescription before my 30 days runs out. The technician who handled the orders never even bothered to measure the glasses and the "sweet spot" center of vision; he used a four year old record! Very unprofessional. WILL NOT RETURN. I went in the other day just as a walk in and before I even got to the back, I noticed that it seemed the manager which was named Tom (I believe) was talking to an employee being mean and saying mean things to her.. poor girl looked like she was new and very uncomfortable and almost wanted to cry. This is not fair to the employees what so ever. I was so disgusted at the sight and seeing that poor girl getting mentally abused. I had my initial eye exam and was unable to make it in for my follow up. I called 4 times the day of my follow up and was never able to get through to anyone in the store. I left a message stating I wasn't able to make it to my appointment and could someone please give me a call back, this was on a Saturday between 11 to 1 pm, my appointment was at 3. I didn't get a cal back that day or the following day so I called again on Monday, tried 3 times to get through to someone during the course of the day and left a follow up voicemail stating I hadn't received a call back yet. I decided to go into the office the following day, Tuesday at 5 pm cause I still hadn't gotten a call back. They were at capacity for COVID so I spent about15 minutes waiting outside and then when I was able to go in I explained the situation to the lady that was "helping" me. She came off a bit rude and had an attitude at first saying she was already off but stayed cause they were busy. As for not getting a call back apparently they don't have access to the voicemails left on the store line. When I said that didn't seem to make sense she did say the manager was the only one with access to the voicemails. Why would the store main phone line have the option for voicemail if no one is going to return calls! Then when I was trying to reschedule the appointment (they were too busy to see me that day, even for a follow up) she informed me that I had to see the same doctor that gave me the exam, so I couldn't get the first available appointment since it was the other doctor. She was finally able to fit me in but it wasn't till the following week Thursday. The entire experience aside from the initial doctor visit has been ridiculous and unprofessional. The policy of seeing the same dr for the entire process doesn't make sense and the voicemail feature needs to be removed from the store line since it is misleading to think you'll get a return call. The employees could also benefit from customer service training. read more

I came here replaced my Bvlgari sunglasses lenses that i purchased from Macy's couple years ago, I went to Macy's sunglasses department on couple of location they can't help me replace so they suggested me to LensCrafters , when I walked in the store Amanda is the one help me , five minutes after she came back and I got my new lenses on my sunglasses , they didn't charge me , but I like their services so I donate the $10 dollars help other people who they can't afford eye exams. So first off I have no idea why this location has such bad reviews. I broke my glasses a couple days ago and I'm leaving outta town tonight. I heard LensCrafters fills prescriptions in 2 hours. Before going I read reviews and honestly I was a little hesitant to go because of all the bad reviews. I decided to go and when I walked in I spoke to Shaira. She told me because my old prescription was expired I would have to see one of the doctors. Thank God they were able to see me right away. Nick took me back to start all those random eye tests. He was very nice! After taking those test he said to wait out front for the doctor. Within a few minutes Dr. Maria calls me back. She was very nice and personable. I didn't feel rushed or anything. After seeing her I looked at the frames with the help of Rosa and Shaira. They were very helpful and nice! I asked Andre a couple questions about using Apple Pay and he was nice and answered my questions. I found frames I liked, paid and then they told me they should be ready in two hours. Super cool that my glasses will be done in two hours when usually it would take a couple weeks if I would've went to my usual optometrist. Not a great experience. I was asked "What kind of insurance will you be using?" "Do you have vision insurance?" and "I see they didn't list your insurance carrier. Do you have one?" But then I only talked to three people. They took down my medical information wrong cause they were in a hurry. The doctor suggested I not do the dilation because it would be an extra cost. But when I left they asked me to sign a form that I "refused dilation" and that the "risks had been explained to me"; neither of which is true. They always have some "sale" on lenses but it doesn't apply if you have insurance. Frames are way overpriced and buying them is the only way to get the sale on lenses. I found comparable frames within a couple miles for less than a third in cost. They do have some nice machines but the staff leaves everything to be desired if you want them professional and knowledgeable. read more

I just picked up my new glasses. Love the new store at VG. Right at the corner of the water fountains where the kids get wet and next to Childrens' Place. They have cool high-tech equipment. The tech will take several photos of you with different frames so you can see and compare. My glasses took a little longer than an hour, but that was not a problem since we walked the mall to kill time. Staff was friendly. Place is very clean and pleasant. Austin was very helpful. Downside: no restrooms but public were not too far away. read more

I go here to have my exam ...poof no need for glasses anymore! The doctor seemed so overwhelmed by the situation I explained I have headaches cause by occipital neuralgia (nothing to do with eyesight) after the exam/dilation / the whole deal she told me to stop wearing my glasses and eat fish and take biotin she said my vision would become clear. I was extremely upset about this, hello! I can't read a freeway sign unless I'm coming up on the exit! That screams you need glasses. Terrible service. I made a appointment the day before. Day of appointment I come In about an hour early. No one greeted me. I waiting for about 40 minutes before I finally saw they were just taking walk ups. I go to just cancel my appointment, being in customer service so long I don't have much patience for bad service, apparently who ever I talked to the next day never set up my appointment. This is simply an upsell factory. My sales person sat there like a bump on a log while I selected frames then encouraged me to get the most expensive pair. Then tried to upsell fancy lenses (for which she couldn't answer any of my questions) and then the warranty. I politely declined on the lenses, though she relented. When I declined the warranty she gave me Attitude. The frames are nice, though quite expensive and essentially turn us into walking billboards.... The logos on these frames get larger and larger. I do have vision insurance but I did the math, for comparable frames down the street, it would have been cheaper to skip the paycheck deductions and buy frames elsewhere. read more

The only reason I gave two stars is because the doctor was professional - otherwise it would have been one. My family of three have been buying eyeglasses from this store for years but I will never return. I just received an eye exam July 30th. For the first time, I thought I would try getting my frames somewhere else (they are much less costly and I like to have a couple pairs). I received my printed prescription; however, my prescription did not contain the "PD" number (the distance between your pupils). I called lenscrafters to get this number and they refused to give it to me unless I purchased my frames from them.... despite the fact that we just paid close to $800 for two sets of glasses for my daughter a month ago. I also told her I didn't need UV protection. I noticed that I was billed for it when I looked at the receipt when I got home. I didn't feel like the associate was focused on me. While sitting at the desk with her, she addressed fellow employees like "oh, it's time for you to go" etc. Probably why she made the mistake setting me up with something other than what I wanted. The day of there was a terrible accident on the freeway (due to the rain) that prevented me to get the my appointment on time so while I was stuck in traffic I called to notify them of the situation and they did not allow me to come in due to no availability. I am actually floored by the negative reviews regarding customer service here because the customer service is what made me go from simply browsing to switching my eye care to here and walking out with new glasses. I went in looking for frames as my eye place has not carried anything I liked in months. I have a current exam and prescription, just need frames that I like. I was immediately approached by Freida who kindly inquired about my wants/needs and style preference. She quickly pulled 4 pairs of frames from various displays (all which were my preferred style) and offered to take comparison photos to see which ones I liked. She even grabbed Lila from the lab to give me an additional input since I was having trouble deciding. After selecting a few, she offered to check my insurance benefits. Next thing I knew, I was getting a new eye exam (mind you, even though I had a current exam and prescription, I expressed concern that my vision seemed to be changing). The doctor was polite, young, and thorough. I appreciated her attentiveness as I expressed my concerns and frustration of my seemingly deteriorating eyesight. After figuring my prescription, she handed me off to Billy who was super helpful in comparing the best deals (insurance vs. in store promotion) and offered me an irresistible $25 added insurance if I needed to replace my glasses within a year period. It blew me away when he said he could have them ready in an hour! 45 minutes later I got a text saying my glasses were ready. Lila helped fit my new glasses and I was on my way. Everyone I encountered was extremely helpful and friendly. Even the lady behind the counter joined in conversation with me even though she wasn't directly helping me. The customer service experience was fantastic and for that reason alone, I switch to here. The fact that they were all adorable in their glasses was a bonus read more
