The next day after posting the first review, the Ion office reached out to reschedule a complementary appointment with a different optometrist, and they were able to fit me in the same morning with Dr. Eastman. Wow. He was so thorough, actually looked at my old lenses and validated that everything I had been feeling about my previous prescription was correct (because it was too strong). He also recommended a different course of treatment (over-the-counter) for the irritation I was experiencing which has brought me immediate relief even though he said it could take up to six weeks for my issue to go away. The exam did not feel rushed whatsoever, and he took time to explain what was going on with my eyes and to answer my questions thoroughly. I was so impressed with how the team by at Ion rectified my experience from last week. Dr. Eastman and both of the assistants at the front desk are great, and I would absolutely return and recommend them. read more

Coke to Utah to do an IVF transfer (I'm a surrogate) and while here my glasses broke and I came to this LensCrafters and Sean helped get my glasses (only pair I have) fixed so my trip wasn't ruined! This review is mainly for the sales floor. I believe the eye doctor that does exams out of this location is a sole practitioner, separate from the LensCrafters organization. I wear glasses and I'm a guardian for an adult with disabilities who wears glasses and is very hard on glasses. I've frequented frames and lens stores since I was in 6th grade. This location has a fantastic manager (will add her name here when I remember it) and helped us find exactly what we are looking for. We found fun frames and she even helped me get the specs for a couple old pair of frames that I still have and really like. Could not have been more accommodating or helpful with all of my odd requests (mainly due to special adjustments for new frames for dependent). I love this place and will be continuing to work with them as long as they're around! read more

I came in on Black Friday and I ordered a pair of glasses there was a mistake made by accident by one of the ladies and that would've cost me almost another couple hundred dollars if Sean didn't help me he ended up upgrading my glasses for me free of charge for the mistake was very kind patient and polite and understanding with the experience and because he was so kind and expressed that their customer service was their number one priority that they don't really care about making money they just wanna make their customer happy and I don't see this much anymore in customer service I'm giving them a five star review as mistakes happen it's all about how you take accountability Shawnda assistant manager was perfect and assisting me and making sure the mistake was fixed!! read more

I have bought my glasses from Zenni optical online for the past two years. However, I had a large FSA amount to use and chose to splurge this past year on new glasses and sunglasses from Lens Crafters. Imagine my disappointment when after approximately 3 months the fancy coating began to have major issues (that disrupted my vision sight lines). Imagine my further dismay when I called Lens Crafters and the manager tried to make me feel as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Sure enough, the fancy coating was having major issues and was an issue on their end. They thankfully replaced at their expense, but it still took the standard 7 days to come in. The time to travel downtown, the annoyance of feeling something was in my site line constantly, and being made to feel as if I had done something wrong...I'll stick with Zenni! read more

I have been a costumer since I moved in SLC. They are very nice and helpful and they really know what they are talking about. I got new lenses for my glassed and they were really professional. ALso they are dog friendly which is convenient! When I changed my eye insurance, I was glad they were still accepting the new one! As a side note, I went during the COronavirus, everyone was a wearing a mask, they had hand sanitizer available and encourage its use. read more

I just placed my 31st call for a $500 pair of glasses still not received after almost a month. On hold 47 min then received a message that the office was closed. Do not spend your money here. More accurate to say do not hand your money over to these people for no good reason whatsoever they will keep it and you will get nothing. SHAMEFUL!!! read more

I was in Salt Lake City for 1 night. When I woke up the lens fell out of my glasses. I went to Lens Crafters (on Main) about 5 minutes before they were scheduled to open. The lady in the store saw me, came over and unlocked the door and asked me what in needed. I showed her my glasses and she said that she had appointments scheduled starting at 10:00am but she was confident that she could repair they by the end of the day. I told her that I was leaving at noon. She looked at her watch and said let me she want I can do. A few minutes later she can back with my glasses fixed and cleaned. I asked what I owed her and she said nothing. She was awesome and provided exceptional service. read more

My eye exam was done by a doctor who, during the thick of Omicron, was not wearing a mask and asked me not to wear my mask. The assistant manager was very helpful during the process of choosing the correct lenses for my prescription, but in the end the glasses that were prescribed to me, which cost a pretty penny ($550), were no better than the $35 pair I ended up buying at a CVS. Definitely not worth the money. read more

I was quite astonished at the incredibly excellent service provided by the manager of the sales staff, MacKenzie, at the Lenscrafters at the City Creek Center. I bought a new pair of glasses plus frames; but what was amazing to me was that she took apart my old frames from a former prescription and spent fifteen minutes not only cleaning the lenses that I was going to order to be replaced also... but thoroughly cleaned the inside parts of all the old frames too. I have never witnessed such thoughtfulness before at any optical store. She also gave me discounts on two other items. I tried to buy two frames based on a prescription from the optometrist at this store and was told it wasn't possible, that fourteen months ago was too long a period between appointments. So I went elsewhere, no problem. Google says two years is good, and beyond that with permission from the customer. It's not the first time I've had the impression that this store is all about profits, not about customer satisfaction. So good luck anyone shopping there. read more

Three stars is a stretch for this eye glass store. I gave them one star for having a great selection in every price range, one star for speed of service, they had my new glasses ready in less than one week, and I gave them one star for service I received when I first shipped and purchased my glasses. If I deduct stars they would be 1 deduction for price very, very expensive, 1 point deduction for not adjusting the fit of my new glasses, 1 point deduction for not teaching me how to clean or care for my new glasses, 1 point gone for not providing a case or a wiping cloth, and 1 point for rushing me out the door when I had so many questions. Seem like the service is awesome until they get your money, then it goes down the tube. BTW I went to Costco the next day, they adjusted my glasses so they now fit, gave me a case and wiping pad. Eye exam was not done properly. Tried on new glasses and could not see clearly. They gave me a complimentary 5 minutes or less recheck exam. Noticed that my old glasses Rx and current Rx were not even close... very long story. After 3 remaking of lenses due to etched numbers on the lenses causing vision issues bifocal being in the wrong location staff broke the frame during and adjustment 5 separate trips into the store. I finally returned 2 pair of glasses for my refund of $780. After reading with the bifocal one eye had double vision They need help getting things RIGHT. I'd try another vendor such as Costco for quality lenses and competent personnel and service read more

Had an excellent experience here. I was visiting from out of town and needed new contact lenses, assuming they would tell me to come back for an appointment later. Instead, Jackie was super nice and friendly (and professional!) and squeezed me in. The doctor, Dr. Franson, was extremely thorough and attentive. She took the time to hear my desires for a contact lens and made sure that the various options were explained. Her exam was very thorough as well, often returning to previous "versions" of the exam when I wasn't sure which vision test was best. Ultimately, I left with the best contact lenses I've ever had and at a competitive price. Very, very impressed with them and would recommend in a heartbeat. read more

I actually have purchased 5 pairs of glasses with these guys over a 4 year period. I'm done. One of my glasses never worked for me and it's because the missed the focal center which is crucial for progressive lenses. I asked to have them replace the lenses and they wanted to charge me $546 when the original glasses were originally purchased for less. They do not back their product and did nothing stand behind their screw up. On top of that they claimed it was a great deal at a 20% discount. The sales guy was smug and did nothing to address my concern. I have no idea why I kept going back. My bad. I see now why there are only a couple of fluffy reviews. read more

Went to the nearest LensCrafters (who didn't even sell me the gasses) and they were repaired immediately, professionally and with a smile. Phenomenal service here. I got a new pair of glasses here recently, and my boyfriend has been coming here for a couple years for his eyewear-and for good reason. He bought me some frames a few weeks back, and I was waiting to put lenses in til I got to my doctor I like in DC. I placed an order online through 1800-Contacts for contacts, but they got delayed and will arrive after I arrived to DC, so I needed something because I was down to o e contact lens, not one set, just one lens for my left eye. I went into LensCrafters on Tuesday afternoon and explained that I need lenses for my frames ASAP, and by noon on Thursday, they were done. This is amazing because I am so blind, that I have to get my lenses shipped in no matter where I go. They were able to order my lenses, receive them, and put them in faster than I've ever had someone do it before (usually about a week). They were very friendly and called and texted with updates through the whole process so that I didn't need to stress about whether I would be able to have the gift of sight while visiting my family for Xmas the next 2 weeks. read more

There is nothing special about the look or layout of this LensCrafters. But what makes it special is the employees. I could not say enough good things about them. We went in looking for glasses for my daughter. She is 11 and was actually really excited about getting glasses. We found the perfect pair and she was so excited cause she saw the signs that said glasses in an hour. Unfortunately her prescription is a bit special so they had to be sent out to be made. The sales rep ringing us up was great and totally made my daughter feel better about the wait. My biggest complaint is that it took about 2 weeks to get these In. I called 4 days after we placed the order and the lady just said to call back on Saturday. So I called on Saturday and the lady had zero information. She said to call back on Tuesday. So I called on Tuesday. Finally I spoke with someone who had some info. The lab tech told me they would for sure be in the next day and he would call me no matter what. So on Wednesday I'm waiting for a call and nothing. So I call them again. They tell me the lenses failed their quality so they are not ready. I get it. I would rather have lenses that are perfect. But the fact that I was not called like was promised was a little off putting. Finally today I get a text telling me the frames are ready. Overall I was not unhappy just not blown away. read more

I rarely review businesses, but when I come across exceptional service, I want to give a shout out. I went in for an eye exam a few weeks ago and was very pleased with my experience. There was no wait and everything is new and pristine. The staff is very professional and friendly. I submitted my contact order on 1800CONTACTS thinking this would save me some $. I received a call from Jackie at Dr Watson's office in Lens Crafters to inform me they could beat 1800CONTACTS price if I wanted to place my order with them. I did! When I went the same day to pick up my order (I chose to pick it up instead of having them mail it to me), she had everything ready to go for me-- including copies of my receipts for my mail in rebate and a pre-addressed stamped envelope to mail in my rebate! She even gave me some free contact solution in the bag. Talk about going above and beyond! She was great and I will continue to use them for my contact needs. read more

*This is the City Creek location* I literally never write reviews (this is my 2nd in about 5 years of using yelp regularly), but these guys deserve it. I have a very strong glasses rx (-6.25) and correction for an astigmatism in one eye...getting new glasses is one of the most trying things I have to deal with as it is very difficult to get it right between the rx and the fitting of new frames to my face. This team of folks, especially Tyler in this last round, really went out of their way, multiple times, to get it right for me. They never gave up and never got impatient with me, despite my multiple visits to the store and despite being on a timeline to get it right with my move to Paris on the horizon. Their service is above and beyond what I normally expect from a chain store. They made a miserable task for me very tolerable and gave me hope that there is truly upstanding customer service left in this world. Thanks Tyler and friends! read more

What an awful experience. The sales associates that worked with me are robots with zero people skills. I ordered my glasses and they took a month to get. When I got my glasses home I took a good look at them as you do with any new toy and the lenses had a huge scratch on them. I paid for the highest quality lens...they were scratched, and had letters printed on them. I am SO disappointed and feel like I was treated like garbage at the City Creek location. I took my glasses back to the store and was told by the associate that she could not give me a refund even though their 30 day guarantee states "they will do whatever it takes to make you happy." That is the Lens Crafters portion of the review. Don't even get me started on my experience with Ion Vision located in the back of this Lens Crafters. I went to get contacts before a vacation. The trial contacts they supplied me with feel terrible and my vision is actually worse with them in, which leads me to believe that they got my prescription wrong and they have no idea what they are doing. I received ZERO help on selecting a brand and didn't get any information on which ones to select. Again, this is the worst experience I have ever had with an eye exam. Total garbage is what this location is. read more
